A proposition for an intrigue game: The setting is fantasy world. The place, the domain of human duke/duchess. The idea is for players (of low/minor birth), to gain the highest position on duchy's court (and keep it), by means of intrigue, seduction, assassination, alliances, betrayals, prestige, piety, coups etc. Players would have to cooperate with each other to climb higher on court ladder while dealing with noble snobs/racist/blood-supremacist, fanatical clergy, honorable knights, greedy merchants, but also protect the domain from peasant/slave rebellions, orcs/bandit raids other kingdoms, necromancers/demonologists, elves/dwarfs etc. as well as watch out for other rising stars of the court. Players would have to decide who they would ally with, and when it would be the best to betray/leave them. Of course, at some point it would be possible for one player to betray the others or for them to create a waring factions... or in case really irritating/naive character, to be sacrificed for the sake of group's ambition. What are your thoughts on this?

That was 2 years ago. If I would commit to this, it would be rather slow paced (I am rather busy lately). Give me some time to think (due to lack of interest I forgot what I planned and scrambled the project) - I should decide whether to continue this by the end of the weekend.
As much as I would like to, at the moment I just don't have the time to lead that kind of game. Maybe in 6 moths, but not right now. Sorry.

In that case, do you mind if I make a game based around a similar concept? I really like the idea, but I don't want to step on your toes if you want to keep this one.

It's been some time, since bastardlydastard's version of this play... I'm thinking about finally starting this role-play. Are there any interested people? It might end up as something of a crossover of Game of Thrones and witcher.
