I know how that feels. Reading someone else's story that seems great and then something minor happens and now I'm out of the zone. ...And it isn't even their fault, they are 90% in agreement with my kink.
It's even worse when it's not even about some sideline bonus fetish or extra detail, it's simply going too damn far. I like a lot of things, but I DO NOT like to feel bad for the characters. And it isn't like there's anything I'd change either, it's still the same idea, just farther then i'd like it taken...

Have a real banger of an idea for a story, but I don't want to post it because I'll lost interest and don't have time to write it.
You could try dropping it into the Story Ideas forum and hope someone picks it up eventually. Or do you want it done in a particular way you don't trust anyone else with?
I don't think anyone else would go for it, it's...too niche. Considering some of what I've written, that's saying something.

I made a story branch in Characters for Sale about 2 months ago now. It says it's "In Review". I don't understand why?
It appears to be a moderated story and the story owner hasn't been online for around 2 months. Since it seems like the story is still updating, my guess is there are users who have been added to the story to make their own additions without approval but are not tasked with approving others'
You may be able to get it approved by posting here: https://forum.chyoa.com/threads/threads-approval-reports.21/page-32 I am not a mod and can't guarantee what the criteria for getting it pushed through will be, but it looks like there are other such cases
Excited to see the picks from the Jury for the contest. Just want to see who they pick as there were a lot of good stories this year.
I mean, I'm not trying to kink shame anyone. If the notion of waking up one random morning as a literal god with unlimited power does it for you, all good! I just don't understand it. Building UP to unlimited power over time, that I get. But starting out with it? Where's the challenge? Where's the progression?
I think for an author that just wants to write a scene of "This guy doing this thing to that girl," it's easier to let the issue of 'how tho' rot away and turn to dust than it is to write a whole new Fire Emblem just to get to the good bits. Though I do agree that the build-up is often better than the climax.
I think that’s just most writers tbh. Most people put themselves into the shoes of who they write, and it can be difficult to understand that you need a level of separation to make an interesting story. Don’t get me wrong, some of my favorite stories here are blokes getting incredibly lucky to some capacity, but I like it much more when there are obstacles as well!
Anyways I'm gonna be more active on here for the next... 2 1/2 months?... Yeah that sounds like long enough.
On second thought, maybe that's the exact opposite of the solution here. On tertiary thought, however, I have been thinking about getting on AO3, so maybe I'd better just accept my fate, huh?
