“How annoying.” Staring at the sealed door, it was likely going to be a pain to brute force. Focusing her energy she began to try and telekinetically pry it open.
As she made her way through the corridors, on a way to her quarters, she found a couple of more unconscious clones - until she found finally a conscious clone - dragging an unconscious clone.
"Ay, Captain." The clone called affirmative as she returned to controls. "There is only so much we could learn through visual sensors, Captain." Patricia said, as she quietly stood behind Victoria. "Shall we prepare a mission to meet some natives or to bring some of them on board?" She asked.
Spoiler: Awareness 84+10 (tactical)-success As Klara was about to open the door, she realised she could do it - but then stopped, her training kicking in. If there was an air... atmosphere behind those doors, it could push all or some of them into open space - with a shuttle around it could not end fatally. But the things that would fly out of wreckage could pose a serious danger if some crate hit someone. In the worst-case scenario, it could end up with fatalities.
“I suppose we should... but first, let us learn as much as we can, so that we can better prepare for the first contact. We don't want to cause an incident due to a misunderstanding, after all. We should try to find a small isolated community so as to not cause too much panic in case we are discovered... or in case the locals are hostile and attempt to attack us.” Victoria instructed, already mentally preparing to meet the locals.
Trying to think of a more tempered approach, she reasoned there was the other go to option. “Get the plasma cutter.” It would be time consuming to cut open a space, but less likely to cause damages (I really have no clue what to do with that honestly)
The duo waited, as the clones kept gathering the data. "There seem to be bipedal, in age between bronze and iron." The clone frowned. "But we could be wrong on this... There are some communities away from other greater... cities." There was a pause. "There are also some... individuals away from larger groups."
The clone nodded. "We could try to find other way, maybe some outside dock with pressure gate..." one of the clones suggested. "Or, we could just do a hole, and wait until the air is sucked outside, the problem will be gone, then." Other suggested.
“Focus on the isolated individuals, try to determine which ones would be safest to approach.” Victoria instructed. A lone person, or a small group of people, such as a family, seemed like the best choice for contacting the locals. Once they had a good idea what sort of people they were dealing with, they could think about approaching the larger communities.
‘That looks bad, we’ll have to wait a little while for the Spear to drift away from the anomaly,’ Captain Cherenkov nodded to Naomi, ‘I assume we have already tried hailing them? No response? Can we get a scan of the ship to see what the situation is exactly?’
"Let's see... there is a ship on the ocean, some people travelling through the desert - they seem to be leaving some behind, there is also a hut in a forest..." Clone reported her findings.
It would be better to just wait it out then risk it. It’s safe to assume we aren’t finding survivors here anyway.”
Naomi nodded and turned to bridge. "Helm, take intercept curse, and keep us away from the anomaly." She then turned back to Captain. "Yes, we tried rising them, but they did not answer." She walked to the sensors and showed the readings to Andrey. "They have power... and there is some activity - we observed movement on the bridge, but they are simply not responding to our hails."
Saffrona sigh of relief that she finally find more conscious clones. "Wait ORMO14, I will help you." She said and help dragon unconscious clone to her quarter, to put her on bed. "Damit anomaly. Do you have any medical experience ORMO14? For now we don't know how to wake them up, but we have to make sure that they survive to rescue. Did you noticed something unfamiliar before hit?"
“Focus on the hut – the trees will hide us from the locals, plus we are more likely to find food in the forest.” The people in the desert were probably being left behind for a reason, such as being sick or simply too exhausted to continue. And the ship seemed like the most difficult to approach due to the lack of solid ground. The hut seemed best – probably the home of a hermit or an isolated family.
“Then find another route as suggested perhaps.” She gave the order for one of the clones to secure it
"No, I am from maintenance." ORMO14 answered as the two dragged the unconscious clone - in the direction of medical facility. "There was - a light I think, suddenly everything became bright, hot... then I woke up on the floor." As the duo rouded the corner, they came to face another unconscious clone.
When the screen went black Zack turned to the communications officer. "What happened!?" Tungsten's first instinct was to do as Captain Cherenkov had, but upon hearing that the Mendeleyev was already underway he calmed himself. The Meneleyev would be far better at analyzing the anomaly anyway and there wasn't much point in having two Deimos-class destroyers attempting scientific research. Those classes of ships were designed to fight, not explore the unknown. Besides, with the Aurora arriving he would feel better being in the system to protect it. While he had every confidence in Captain Solaris and the Aegean's ability, two escorts were better than one. "Launch a probe to scan the planet and then move into formation with the Aegean." Zack ordered. Once information began arriving from the second planet, Zack felt more comfortable about the situation. The inhabitants of the world seemed to not be as advanced as the federation, and with his concerns allayed he instructed his crew on a different course. "Helm, take us out of formation and bring us into a standard orbit over the third planet. Science, ready another probe and launch it into this planet's atmosphere; begin a detailed scan. I want to know what's down there. Communications, maintain an open link with the rest of the fleet and transmit the data we collect to them."
Patricia nodded. "Should I order to prepare a shuttle and a security team?" She asked. "There is little movement near a hut - there was a local moving around, but now they're gone inside."
