Hi, everyone. I've been thinking about doing a superhero themed game, set in a crime ridden city. The player characters would be either heroes or villains in the first few years of their careers, with the same dice check system I've been using for a while. Does this sound of interest to people?
Sounds interesting, but I think this time you should rise a little level difficulty, to make more challenging for players. I will play in it sure, but system of rolls and dice need to be polish. (So you just need fresh start, after star wars game)
] Sure. I haven't got plans of making my games the Dark Souls of forum RPs, but I agree with you that I could be less forgiving with difficulty
Maybe, each charakter would need to have weakness (connected somehow to sex). For each strength of power, the character needs to have additional weakness, or stronger weakness? Like. Flight 2 (flight with a speed of 50 km/h) Strength/endurance 3 (can raise a bus) laser eyes 1 (can pierce weak materials/flesh or set on fire) would give weaknessess weakness against diamonds 4 (touch of stone makes base human weakened additionally by raging lust) weakness against water 1 (aversion to water) concentration on female 1 (tends to disregard males, find females more attractive)
Maybe. I've been too tired for much of anything lately. I mentioned systems before that might be an idea. OVAS uses an exactly 0 system for positive and negative traits. Basically positive stats and abilities but need to equal stats below average or weaknesses to even out. It goes from o being average, +3 being the peak of human performance, and -3 is the lowest you can go down to. -1 represents a moderate flaw or disability. -2 is bad, regularly affecting your character's life negatively. -3 is abysmal being a pretty much day to day challenge of bad. Mutants and masterminds which I mentioned before also has a slightly similar system for stats and powers and while not especially complicated, might be a bit too much heavy reading just to go and do. Just my thoughts. Still not sure if I can or can't make anything work really tbough.
