The clone said as she worked on the console. ! Saffrona's head snapped to the side as she heard a noise from the outside of the bridge... it sounded just like... She frowned. A discharge of the phaser.
After sending a message to Naomi, Cherenkov started thinking about the technology... Spoiler: ? 39 +10 (science specialization) - fail Annoyed at his lack of progress, he opened the terminal and started searching through the database. There was something on the edge of his mind... Spoiler: ? 19+10 (science specialization) - fail The quick skipping the page from the database about optical fibres brought no answers.
(What is mean "Discharge of the phaser?") "Shit. Send message to your own ship, to gareth all light wounded, on it. We can't let our fleet lose any more ship than that." She said and in that moment she hear that noise. "We are under attack! Keep your attention to fixing systems, our lives depend on it!" She said and get her own carabin ready to shoot attacker outside the bridge.
"God damn it!" Violetta swears out in a panic. Biting her lip as she sees her own naked form riding her subordinate, she raises her gloved hand and brings it down on the screen. Fuck it, I can't think of any better options! Drawing her pistol, she starts smashing the camera and the cpu to destroy the evidence.
"Jackpot!" Zack thought to himself, but kept his composure. He opened the comm again to his engineer. "Biggs we've arrived, send out a mining team to collect the materials." He then turned to his communications officer. "Co-ordinate our efforts with the Aegean. Let's get them what they need."

Addionally, he ordered a scan on the full spectrum of the anomaly, the ‘fibre optic’ might not just be carrying visible light but radio waves, IR and even up to UV and X-rays.

The ventilation over her head had opened and- her eyes widened as she noticed purple gas in the air. She must have tripped a trap somehow.
"Will do boss." The man said through the intercome. "I am ordering the lunch of the shuttle and sending message to Aegean." There was a pause. "Wanna bet long it will take us to extract the needed resources?" He asked with excitement in his voice.
Saffrona take ready her blaster rilfe and carefully get out the bridge to see what happens outside. "Yes, I'm almost certain that someone shoot inside the ship." She said as she walked close to wall, to take cover just in cause.
Spoiler: Science! 76 +10 (science specialization) + 10 (physics) - great success As he pondered the possible ways to solve the problem, it suddenly struck him. The fiber optics, the light carrying data - the anamoaly... it was a data storage!
Spoiler: Awareness 35+10 tactical -fail Saffrona moved closer to the wall, ready for anything... but as she waited, she saw nothing... nor heard anything out of ordinary.
Saffrona look around the corner, wondering if she misheard something or the stress of this mission kicked her? No matter what, she keep looking around the ship, checking every room and corridoors.
Spoiler: Awareness 88+10 tactical - great success As she moved around corner - there! She heard it! Someone was running in her direction. She waited, at the ready, but then, she noticed the shiulette in the one of surface's reflections. It was one of her crewmembers! She was running towards the bridge!
So the Spear accidentally downloaded the alien database off this data storage site, Andrey thought. He reiterated his order to back-up the alien code to Naomi, ‘The anomaly is a data storage. The Spear must’ve accidentally triggered the data transfer and overridden its own computer systems. Bring us a copy of the alien code, maybe we can learn something from it.’ The Mendeleyev kept a save distance to the anomaly, so that it wouldn’t trigger the data transfer as well.
Violetta feels her eyes go wide. She'd assumed that the threat Bell represented merely regarded blackmail and threats - not actual, physical danger. Cursing her naivete, she thinks to herself. If her XO is using gas, the door is presumably locked, though she tests the theory just in case. Holding her breath to avoid inhaling the gas, the captain looks around the room, looking for a vent or hidden passage she could use to escape, as she covers the vent pumping out gas with Bell's blanket, grabbing a stapler from his desk and nailing it in place. It won't be airtight, but it should make it take longer for the gas to fill the room.
"C-captain?!" The clone exclaimed and frightened as she stopped, the phaser pointed straight at her. She quickly raised her hands up. "I-I-i-i, wanted to re-report that so-some of the unconscious crewmembers-s are re-recovering!"
"Data storage?" Naomi asked from the other side. "Then we will need more data banks." Spoiler: ? 82 She paused. "Wait... If it replaced Spear's databanks... why did it knockout some of the crew?" Naomi wondered.
