The man rolled his eyes. "I told you - stay away from this case." He almost growled. "The moment you start messing with it, there will be only trouble." He shook his head, then snorted. "You sure you did not meet her? She is rather... what is the word?" He turned to Karolina as he searched the word that was on the tip of his tongue.
he thought for a moment, genuily lost, searching for word... then, he snapped his fingers as his eyes brightened. "Excentric!" He exclaimed. "That's the word!"
"And...her eccentricity somehow grants her a modicum of familiarity with me?" Karolina's eyebrow raise gets higher, as she wonders what he's implying. "Perhaps I can introduce myself, I suppose. Any ideas on excuses I can use so it doesn't seem like I have an agenda?"
Idly curious, Reka asks, "Did the waitress seem odd to you too?" She scoffs before taking another bite. "If last night was extreme, you should see me using a strap-on. But seriously, I don't blame you for being cautious around me, but you have nothing to worry about. I won't hurt you unless you strike first...or you ask for it," she smirks.
The final swipe had done it. He was a fairly skilled opponent, but in the end, she was still standing and he wasn’t. Lightly she planted her sword into the ground as her eyes closed to usher out a prayer, as she had done after all of her battles. She was thinking perhaps one of her biggest advantages was her age leaving other immortals to assume they would have the advantage over her. That was his mistake. Young or old, nobody could make it to this point if they were weak. She was always a strong warrior. Being immortal just gave her the time to truly master it. Her opponent w wasn’t weak. She was just better. After completing her ritual and gathering her thoughts, she rose. This has been an eventful day, but she ultimately remained. With her plans for the day being simply to get some rest before worrying about the next step for now.
The man snorted. "You will be approaching a high-ranking police officer who also deals with politicians and has a personality as developed as a 17th-century railway. Of course, it will look like you come to her with agenda." He snarked.
Sofia hummed. "So..." She started as she chewed on her meal. "So... you speak of waitress... then your prowess with strap-on... are you suggesting we had some fun with the woman?" She raised her eyebrow as she took a sip of her coffee.
As she opened her eyes, she could feel the energy start circulating. The electricity arched along the buildings, and the strong wind started blowing. Sila's body raised into the air - then the power storm began, striking the windows, blowing them up - the electric discharges started hitting Thea, as she started taking the man's quickening...
Between bites, Reka clarifies. "Just being flirty. We probably shouldn't stick around here any longer than we need to. Although...I'm definitely not opposed to the idea."
"Then what agenda should I go to her with that she'll be receptive to? She's your boss." Karolina sighs.
She was a little stunned at the power surge. She had done them before, but to this degree was something that was surprising. The influx of energy was almost overwhelming. This would likely mean she'd be faced with people stronger than this soon still. The power added to her own definitely didn't hurt.
Sofia hummed as she gathered some more food on her fork. "So... we grab the chick, have some fun with her behind the building then drop her off and go our way?" She asked.
The man simply shrugged. "I don't even know what you want to do with her" He shook his head. "Look, if you want to help, just... get that bitch of the case... or have her fired."
Thea hung in the air, as strike of discharge of energy hit her again and again. She could feel the man's knowledge, power, skills fill her. Finally, she collapsed on the ground, surrounded bu silence.
"God, you're helpful." Karolina says sarcastically, as she fixes her appearance further, before looking for the office of Piet's boss. "Excuse me, captain?" She knocks on the woman's door, before entering, filling herself with an aura of self-assured confidence. "I'm a...friend...of Mr Stevenson. Mr Stevenson has been hearing troubling news about the way you've been handling his case."
Reka found the woman in the corner of the room, accepting an order. "Great..." Sofia smirked. "I saw a shed behind the building. We should have some peace there - you get the girl, I get the equipment from the baggage?" She suggested. "Or do we simply kidnap her?"
"Yeah, yeah - I doubt you will do anything, anyway." He shrugged. As she entered Piet boss's office, she came face to face with the woman... At Karolina's words, the woman frowned. There was some worry in her eyes at Karolina's words. "What are you talking about?" She asked perplexed. "And who are you, anyway?"
"No kidnapping. I've already earned enough attention from the law. There's too many other people around too." She sighs. "I'm not that good at talking my way into someone's pants, so play wingman and go grab the toys after we have her interest." Don't divide your forces unnecessarily; that's a quick way to lose a battle. With a plan in mind, Reka quickly finishes her meal before making eyes at the waitress.
