The pair make the short walk to the convenience store housed in the student union. Like the coffee shop, the store is mostly empty. Maybe it has to do with the lack of classes today? Spoiler: Store (those are card packs, not cigarettes) A woman, tablet in hand, stands behind the counter. "Hello! What do you need?" Spoiler: Worker
"Oooh." Felicia hummed as they entered the store, being reminded of her childhood days when she and her friends would save up their allowance just to buy more cards. "Hello, I'm looking for a new deck. What packs do you have in store?" She asked with a smile, looking at the selection with glee.
Spoiler: Charm Roll 52+20(Dominating)+10(Attractive)-10(situational)=72 success Her eyes shut tightly, Taylor's anal walls, forced to stretch wide in order to accommodate the student's size, clench around Adam's cock. As he goes to withdraw, preparing for another, slower thrust, Adam finds the movement somewhat difficult to achieve at first. The maid's internal muscles begin to relax as her faculties emerge from the sharp, intense pain. Tears fall down her face while her scream dies. As the boy eases himself into her this time, Taylor's face scrunches up in pain, but her voice remains silent. She seems to be slowly growing used to Adam's monster, but it isn't exactly pleasurable for her yet.
"What?! You know where they are?!" Michio raises her voice, blending excitement and anger. "Did you see my card earlier?" She gives Julia a curious look. "Yeah, she used it in our duel. How did you know?"
Spoiler: Perception Roll 17=17 fail She turns back around, facing him again. A small, hopeful smile is on Jessica's face. "You're not just saying that?" She steps close to Tenma, her head only inches away from him as she searches his eyes. She guides the young man's hand to her waist. It feels intimate.
"Not...exactly." Julia now had the difficult part of trying to explain this in ways the young girl could understand our would be willing to accept. "The Shinarui style is passed down to exorcise the yokai of the Makyashi. This means more than you know." Yet....Julia's brain tried to recall what else she knew. The Makyashi were evil spirits but...they had no real connection to the great dragons that she knows of. Was Hannuani really connected to the rest? It couldn't be ruled out, but Julia's mind stressed on trying to determine exactly how the Azure Dragon would be involved. "She stole that card because she fears it in your hands." Julia smiled a bit at hearing it. "However, this also suggests she doesn't know as much as she thinks. You can't truly just severe a spiritual connection by taking away one card. It's a mass printed thing. It would work with other copies. Though finding another can be difficult..." While it was true that this would slow down Michio's progress, it seemed Angelica believed that all she had to was simply take that particular print of the card and that would be enough. "...but why keep it? Why not throw it away?" That was still bothering her as she thought of it. It was fundamentally the oppossite of Angelica's nature. She would never be able to use it herself. Even the people allied with her, weren't going to be that strong canidadates. "The Shinarui pass down their strength to train each new generation through the power of the specteralsword. But do you know why zombie monsters fear them the most? It's because the Shinarui never get corrupted."
"Most of them are centered around specific Types or Attributes. Some are more about utility, with all kinds of helpful cards. But, if you're looking for somewhere to start..." She points out a collection of white packs labeled Surge of Power. "...This set is pricey, and there's only three cards per pack, but it guarantees powerful monster cards you could build a deck around." Yumi is content to smile faintly at Felicia, enjoying the girl's excitement.
"Only three cards? That's new. But if it guarantees strong cards..." Felicia mumbled, "Alright, give me one pack." She nods, eager to see what three cards she'll get so she can base her deck around them.
"I've heard some of the story set up for them, yeah." Michio nods along at the professor, until... "Spiritual connection?" The one-eyed girl thinks for a moment. "So, the cow's cult believes there's some kind of ghost in the card, and they're afraid of it. How do you know they think that, though?"
"I'm just telling you what on some level you already know, aren't I?" Julia had a feeling. Michio wasn't just worried about her card being stolen because it was just her property. This card was important to her. It had to have been passed onto her by someone special. "You knew when they insisted you take that card it wasn't just because it was good for your deck." Julia kept mostly vague, but still giving the impression of knowing and understanding even more. "That's because the card spirits are real. You know none of this would make sense if they did all of this simply because of mechanical bonuses in a card game alone." Trying to emphasis things better, Julia lifted the palm of her hand. Maybe a small display of real physical unambigious magic would beat back that self denial. "It's not exactly easy to do my best work with this here but...." Julia attempted to extract from the flow of moisture in the air to create a bracing sudden chill in the air. It was nothing too remarkable. No ice spears or storms as such, but might be just enough to tip Michio into more of a actual believer.
"Here you are!" The blue-haired worker smiles, handing one to Felicia. As she tears the set open, Felicia finds three cards within. Spoiler: Card 1 Spoiler: Card 2 Spoiler: Card 3 Spoiler: Spiritual Resonance Roll 96=96 strong success She feels something very...strange emanating from Earthbound Immortal Uru. It is somehow both enticing and disturbing.
He finds himself swallowing to wet his suddenly dry throat as his hand is placed on her hip. This is far from his first time being in a situation that involved physical intimacy so it should not bother him, right? Yet somehow, this feels... oddly different. Maybe it's the way she looks into his eyes or the way she was ready to break off the second she saw he was uncomfortable instead of forcing her own needs on him. Whatever the reason, he cannot bring himself to fight her guiding his hand onto her hip. "N-No," Tenma says, "I'm... not."
Felicia wastes no time in ripping open the pack, smiling as she does so. Then as she saw the cards inside, "Oh?" She barely took notice of the first, and third cards. Instead she seemingly felt attracted to the Earthbound Immortal Uru. "H-huh?" She mumbled feeling the strange sensation that felt enticing, and disturbing at the same time. "I-uh, I'll build my new deck around this card then... do you have any packs for it?" Felicia asked if the shop carried any support cards for the Earthbound Immortals.
Spoiler: Spell Roll 30+10(Elemental Magic)+10(situational--easy spell)=50 weak success The chilling effect is subtle, but goosebumps form on both girls' skin. Spoiler: Persuade Roll 61+10(Charisma)+10(situational--spell roll)=81 success "You're fucking kidding me." Michio stares at Julia, mouth agape. "Are you saying all that shit's real? Like, the Shiranui actually exist?"
"Well...I kind of wanted to make it more impressive..." She looked somewhat happy and also disappointed she couldn't make it flashy enough. "Directly influencing here is immensely difficult. It doesn't seem like Angelica can really do it that well either." That would explain the whole need for a cult. She didn't know how much further along in magical means than her, Angelica was or wasn't, but given Angelica still seemed to show a somewhat limited actual understanding of them....Julia's own abilities while still relatively weak might be just enough to deal with her individually, "Not...here. In the spirit realm, yes. They were real at one point. The history of those cards is not just printed merely for the sake of themes for the game." Julia didn't really know where to begin to well. "If you want to know more and see how far down the rabbit hole it all goes, I can help you. I'm thinking of starting...a special kind of group of my own. Should make campus life exciting more, no? The ultimate goal is uncovering the full true history and how to protect yourself from those misusing their own knowledge."
"Can I...kiss you again?" Jessica nervously asks for permission, not wanting to repeat what happened with the last one. She takes Tenma's other hand, placing it on the other side of her waist. Then, her own arms wrap around the boy's chest, pulling him close.
"I've never seen anything like it before." The worker says from behind the counter. "You'll want at least one of the Field Spell utility packs." She turns around, grabbing one from the wall and setting it on the counter. "Do you want a...Inzektor set? They're Dark Insects too, and they've only been released a month ago."
"Same here, I haven't seen anyone play these." Felicia mumbled, nodding along, "Sure, a Field Spell pack, and the Inzektor set will do." She agrees to the clerk's suggestion, wondering if she can continue her aggressive playstyle with her temporary deck.
"I'm not saying I believe you..." Michio lies, her look of excitement betraying her. "...but it would be good to know more, just in case it is real. I'll join. Can't let you go and start another ring of thieves and rapists without me there to fuck you up." She half-jokes.
[In the interests of time and simplicity, I'm not going to roll for every card. The Inzektors don't have their Xyz monsters since that mechanic doesn't exist. This might change in the future.] Felicia, after opening a handful of both sets, has a bunch of different Field Spells, as well as helpful cards such as Terraforming and Field Barrier. She also has a set of the Inzektors. "I did not expect you to go with the Insects. Is there any particular reason you went with them instead of the Amazoness?" Yumi asks while Felicia goes through all the cards, idly curious.
