"Very well. In this case, I will cast Mayakashi Winter." The air turns freezing cold and an eerie feeling crawls over Julia's skin. Spoiler: Mayakashi Winter "The season will not last long. I banish the Winter and the old Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower's pieces scattered around the Graveyard to return Tengu from his rest. As he flies, he swoops down to destroy the Aquarium Stage." Angelica watches the demon fondly. "Tsukahagi and Tengu merge their souls, calling Yoko to join me, and her sister Dakki is never far behind." The second copy of Yoko which the nun alluded to arrives, with Dakki's spirit rushing from her gravestone to float in the air above her. The younger sibling adopts a defensive posture, while the elder is obviously aggressive. "This is all I can do. Your turn, professor." Spoiler: Turn 8 Roll Julia 94=94 very good Angelica 74=74 good
The woman guarding Michio nods, still browsing the clothing. "Correct, I am bound to her." "Destiny." Adam's serving nun answers as he leaves the room. "Glad you finally asked, and you should let me guide you still. I don't know how many of us are devout enough to respond to the wards with Carley beaten, but I'm sure it's more than a couple." Yumi remains by Felicia's side. "Crushed Angelica...?" The poorly clothed professor ponders. "Did she form the cult by winning Shadow Games? If that's true, responsibility for what happened becomes far messier..." She trails off. "Broodmother? Hmm." Yumi spends another few seconds deep in thought. "As far as I am concerned, you can do whatever you like to her, but can spirits even breed?"
@Tjf "Don't let your guard down, these... nuns have serious magic." Felicia warns Adam as he goes out to help Julia. She then turns to Yumi, "I don't know, maybe? She was... crazier than I expected... she even... took the place of a monster during our match." Felicia replied, slowly regaining some of her stamina back. "I don't... know, but Uru... the spirit, seems intent on wanting a broodmother." The red-head blushes a bit.
"To be fair, you didn't exactly introduce yourself when we met." Adam notes to the nun. "Sure, Destiny - guide on."
"How strange...We should interrogate her once she awakens." The professor advises. "But how would that even work? Can it manifest a physical form? Does it...It doesn't want to force you to be it's...broodmother, does it?" The beginnings of rage sparkle in Yumi's eyes.
She does exactly that, escorting the young man through the mansion and back downstairs to the prison entrance in the basement. "If I remember right, she said that one more person could go through. I assume you want to go? I'll wait here, unless you want me to do something else."
"Yeah, though I don't know when she'll wake up." Felicia replied, before Yumi asks how Carley will become a broodmother. "I... uh, it said I could summon my... monsters to do it... or..." The red-head blushes even more, "it could... uhm... give me the parts to do it myself..." She mumbles, leaving out the fact that if she failed to beat Carley, she would have become the broodmother instead.
"Oui." Adam nods. "Why don't you go check on Demetre or whatever her name was - make sure she didn't escape her bonds." He heads to follow Julia's path.
The professor breathes a sigh of relief. "So long as it isn't forcing you to into sex you don't want, I see no problems." She tilts her head in curiosity. "It can...do that? Well, I think that sounds like a brilliant means of taking revenge on the one most responsible for what happened to you. I would certainly enjoy the second option if I had the opportunity." Yumi looks at the passed out cultist, obviously fantasizing about the scenario.
"Sure, sure~" Destiny nods, turning to leave as Adam passes through the doorway. He is greeted by another swirling sphere of darkness. Spoiler: Magical Resonance Roll 63+10=73 success This one parts for him, allowing him entry to spectate the ongoing Shadow Duel between Julia and a nun. Spoiler: Nun The surroundings are those of a medieval dungeon, but Adam can't be certain if this is a result of duel or not. Spoiler: Dungeon [Refer to my last reply to Arachna. That's about when you enter.]
@Arachna Julia sees her old student arrive to spectate the duel. Adam begins to cheer her on, while trying to intimidate the nun with what he'll do to her if Julia loses. (Sorry for how poor that was.)
With Aquarium Stage gone, this left the dragon knight unprotected. She still had options, but this was going to be a bit an issue . Knowing that Julia took her drink to calm her nerves, as she felt energized, having more life than she started with. She was gaining a substantial amount now at 2500, leaving her life points to settle at 9400. Still just raising her hp, wouldn't be enough to handle the whole game on it's own. However, as Julia pulled a new card things were looking much better. It was a card that required going all in...but... "I play...Card of Demise." Spoiler "Now I can draw three new cards. Of course, I can't hurt you during this turn. However... As Julia replenished her resources, things were looking much better. "And from the new cards I drew, I can normal summon, Dance Princess Of The Nekroz. Since this is not a special summon, the princess hits the field without any problems." As Julia spoke a elegant young red haired lady emerged. "As long as the princess is on the field, nekroz ritual monsters cannot be destroyed through effects. And that's not all..." Spoiler "Then with this next card- Julia played it in the field zone as the darkness of the dungeon faded into natural light and magic as trees grew all around. A oddly serene place in all of this that looked like something out of a fantasy rpg. "Secret village of the spellcasters." Spoiler Shutting down her spells was also a useful option narrowing Angelica's options to battle even further...still if she lost her spellcasters, she'd in trouble, so this would need to be managed well. "Then the final card." Julia placed it down as something abruptly latched onto Yoko, forcing her to growl almost ferally as she made a wild leap onto a tree, perching herself, staring at her companions with a predatory gaze. Spoiler "Snatch steal. Yoko now goes to my side of the field, and Yoko will now destroy Dakki, yet again and since I can't damage you for now, I'll have to end my turn after. Of course, this would be the point where I discard the rest of my hand due to using Card of Demise, but since I used all my cards anyway..."
"Right..." Felicia mumbles, nodding, "I think it can... it did give me some special night vision to help against Carley." She replies, smiling a bit at the mention of revenge. "I plan on giving Carley to... uh... my monsters. She kept calling them bugs after all... I think that's a fair revenge." Felicia said, her tone becoming a bit meek as their conversation takes a sudden turn. Specially as Yumi mentioms enjoying the second option. "I uh, don't think Uru can use it on you..."
@Tjf Adam sees Julia's turn as he walks towards the women seated on opposite ends of a small wooden table. Angelica Special Summons Tsukahagi as Dakki is destroyed. The spirit stands as steadfast as ever against his former friend. [Does Julia want to do something about Tsukahagi before ending the turn?]
(Not yet.) "That thing is starting to get on my nerves." Julia didn't bother destroying it just yet. It was a defensive wall, but had no attack and she wouldn't have much trouble negating another effect if she had to. And now with the loss of her spell cards, all Angelica could feasibly use were traps and those took a turn to set. Despite how close it was at the start, Julia's better plays had finally caught up and there was increasingly less and less room for Angelica to work with. Now, she just needed to bring this battle to it's conclusion. @Tjf Seeing her student having found her way to her duel, Julia offered a confident smile, making it clear she was sure she had this handled. It was almost a little careless, but she had made up her mind to end this soon. It wouldn't look cool in front of her students to drag this out much further. With renewed vigor, Julia looked at Angelica not having lost that smile even for a minute. "Well, you didn't disappoint me exactly...but I wonder. How many times has your soul been destroyed already? I don't care who you are. The pain in these shadow games is real. Even as a spirit, I don't think you can really take much more of this. But...I'm stronger than when I started." Julia with her renewed confidence tried to attempt something by staring Angelica down as if trying to contest her spiritually. Though she'd be lying if she said she knew exactly what she was doing, if it related to anything like taming spirits than hypothetically it was possible to beat her in a battle of force of spirit and will, or at least cause some serious paralysis in it's ability to respond.
"Leaving her to your monsters feels...too impersonal for my tastes, but the choice is yours." Yumi smiles kindly. "I would like to watch it, if you would allow me." There is clear hatred in her voice. "People like her deserve every ounce of pain and humiliation you can inflict." She catches herself, returning to a friendly demeanor. "I assumed he can't, but it would be nice to at least try it. Feel what it's like to be inside someone, receiving physical pleasure while you fuck them instead of being forced to use a strap on and exhaust yourself without even a small orgasm for your trouble."
"O-oh, I, yeah, I suppose. I mean, I guess you can also consider it revenge for all the other cards she's taken from other people. Their vault was... full of cards after all." Felicia sighed, mentioning how she's already been to the vault. "Sure, though I don't exactly know how I'm supposed to... make them do the deed." She pondered, until Yumi mentions using a strap-on. The professor's forward nature when it came to sexual acts catching Felicia by surprise. "I-uh, can't you... ask your spirit for that?" She mumbled, not even sure why she's going with the older woman's flow.
Spoiler: Intimidate Roll 20+10(Spirit Taming)+10(Charisma)+10(board state)+10(freedom)=60 success "Now that I'm free from Carley's control, I was actually thinking of surrendering already." Angelica's demeanor seems dramatically different compared to just a few moments ago. Rather than the implacable air she possessed before, the woman's expression is one of pained despondence. She thinks. And thinks. "...Very well. I surrender. It cannot be worse that what I have already suffered." She is resigned to her fate. A voice booms from the shadows speaking ancient Egyptian. Somehow, Julia understands it perfectly. "Victor, the defeated duelist is yours to do with as you will."
Julia was...not expecting that. Yet, it happened. We played a shadow game and didn't lose our souls. I think it all worked out in the end. Kind of. Thanks. Giving her thoughts to Valkyrus, she was left with the results of the match to deal with. She was hoping to end this a little more dramatically, but as Angelica conceded defeat, maybe that was a victory in itself. As she heard some kind of entity acknowledge her as the winner, she wasn't sure what to think of it. But as the game began to fade, she wondered where to go from here, before looking at Adam and gesturing him over as she took a look at Angelica. On the one hand, she felt that she was getting off way too easy for all the problems she caused, but wasn't sure what to actually do from here. @Tjf "I suppose I should keep her around until we know what to do with her? I don't really know where we go from here. I assume, if you're here, all the rest of it is already worked out?"
Adam moves quickly, approaching Julia and embracing her tightly. "I'm glad you're okay." He blushes as he realises she can feel his hard on from before, and nods, releasing her. "Mine has been perfectly obedient so far, so there shouldn't be a risk. You should feel, like, a sort of bond." He struggles with his wording. "Most. Felicia defeated their leader, and I managed to restrain and tie up one of them who was about to come through the front door. From what I know, there's only two unaccounted for - the guy who assaulted Felicia, and a nun that went looking for him - both of them are off the property."
