The door moves aside, revealing a rugged, grumpy Dr. Timoteo Calavera. He looks at Julia with open disdain. "I heard that someone wasn't at her office hours." He stands tall with a straight back, projecting a controlled, authoritative aura. "You mind explaining, Professor?" The chemist says the word with contempt, crossing his arms in front of him.
"Miss Matthews, you did quite well during your entrance duel. Come join me at the lectern." Yumi says after a couple seconds pass without anyone volunteering.
Felicia's eyes go wide as Yumi calls her, "I-I, uh..." She stuttered, gulping as she could still feel how warm her face was, indicating how pink her cheeks must be. Unable to really decline as she still didn't know what Yumi wanted, the red-head stands up and heads to the podium where the professor was. She remains silent, hoping to use her usual fierce demeanor to avoid letting the others know what Yumi wanted her to do.
Oh, great. This guy. She had hoped for somebody who was literally, any amount of fun. Of course, she wasn't that lucky. "Well, I imagine it has something to do with being severely ill. I already sent the email for students to reschedule." She yawned. Instead of feigning her health, Julia relaxed to make it more apparent the obvious exhaustion she was going through, among other things. "Did you really have nothing better than to do than look over my shoulder to see what I'm doing or...?" Julia's face said enough. Her voice was low. She didn't have the energy to get into it. She just wanted him to go away.
The professor gives Felicia a knowing smile before speaking. "Pull out your deck, and search it. State the number of Normal Monsters, number of Effect Monsters, number of Ritual Monsters, number of Fusion Monsters, and number of Synchro Monsters you held in your deck during your entrance duel." Yumi turns so the microphone doesn't pick up her next sentence. "So do not include any Inzektors and do not include Uru."
Hearing Yumi's last statement, Felicia nods as she pulls out her deck. "Alright." She replied as she starts counting her cards, "During the entrance duels, I had no normal monsters, no ritual monsters, and no fusion monsters. But I did have 12 synchro monsters, 21 effect monsters 9 trap cards, and 10 spell cards. But I sometimes change things up if I know what sort of deck my opponent will be using." Felicia spoke in a confident manner, despite her flushed cheeks.
Spoiler: Deception Roll 61+10(Charisma)-20(Bullshit Detector)=51 weak success "Listen here, Julia, there's a procedure for these things. Fucking use it." He takes offense to Julia's remark, almost laughing at the absurdity. "A student complained to me that you weren't in your office. If you think I'm interested in addressing your every fuck up, you have an even bigger head than Yamagishi."
"And if I knew I was going to wake up this morning and want to die, I would have definitely notified people in advance." Julia was just more exhausted than anything. "I take it, you at least gave them my work contact info?"
"A well-balanced deck." Yumi speaks to the class. "However, the lack of Normal Monsters is a slight cause for concern if an opponent utilizes a card such as Skill Drain or other effect-negating cards, especially if paired with Tyrant's Temper, Tyrant's Tirade, and other similar cards. You cannot necessarily rely on a scant few spells such as Mystical Space Typhoon to prevent your entire strategy from being derailed. That being said, this hypothetical scenario is not common, so there is little to be worried about. As you have a few slots remaining in your Extra Deck, I suggest you consider including a Fusion Monster or two as insurance against those utilizing cards such as Fusion Gate or Pinpoint Dash." The professor thanks Felicia, instructing her to return to her seat. The white-haired woman continues while the student walks. "Every deck will inevitably possess shortcomings such as these. The goal is to minimize them as much as possible. Your first assignment is to submit to me a new decklist containing only cards you do not currently utilize. I only require the list, so you do not necessarily need to sprint to the duel shop for cards. Simply use the library's card database and write out the list. You have one week for this assignment. Any questions?"
"Yes. Get your act together, Julia-" Timoteo scolds. "-you only get so many chances." He storms off, not letting the woman get a word in edgewise unless she stops him.
Ning, the girl behind Adam, asks. "Do you care what kind of decks we make?" "No." Yumi gives a simple answer. "No one else?" She pauses for a moment to make sure. "You are dismissed." Students begin to make their journeys to the doors. Yumi makes eye contact with Adam, mouthing the word "Remain" at him.
Adam feigns boredom, yawning as though he's just too lazy to get up, until all that's left is him and Yumi, at which point he stands and goes to join his 'mistress'.
Julia mutters out some kind of reply, not too worried. As much as he tried....Yagumachi didn't really have plans to get rid of her as far as she was aware. And really. It didn't take much to win back points with him. That wasn't why she was hired, of course. She got chosen for her academic and strong social skills...but it did work well when discussing her salary. She sighed. The president was easy enough to deal with if it came to it. For now, she went back to bed to try and recover as much as she can.
Felicia listens to Yumi's explanation, though she's more than prepared for a few flood gates. Especially now that she has the Inzektors and Uru. Though she still takes the professional duelists' tips to heart, "Thanks, professor. I'll keep that in mind." The red-head replies in a confident tone. With that, she goes back to sit next to Michio. Then as Yumi gave them homework to do, "A deck I haven't used yet... huh." Felicia mumbles, "Any ideas what you're going to hand in?" She asked her perverted seat mate in a curious tone.
"First, I wish to make it clear that you may use the word I provided for you at any time. I do not intend to be particularly cruel, but it is best to remind you." Yumi finally allows the ghost of a smirk onto her face. "Second, follow me." Carrying a bag with her materials, the professor leads Adam to her office a few doors down the hall. The small space holds a brown wooden desk, an office chair, and bookcases against one of the walls. The desk faces the door, with a pair of chairs in between the entrance and the teacher's work surface. Yumi keeps the spartan area clean and organized. A neat stack of papers, probably notes, rests beside the keyboard and computer monitor placed on one side of the desk. The professor sits in the comfortable looking office chair. "Do you have any more classes today?" Recalling his schedule, he knows he doesn't. Yumi may not be aware of this, though.
Unfortunately, the world doesn't seem to allow her to rest. Only a few minutes later, Julia hears yet another person knocking on her door. "Hello? Professor?" She recognizes the voice as Angelica's.
"I'm free for the rest of the day. Mistress." Adam nods his head, though his expression seems less than cowed.
"Nope! I'll figure something out eventually." Michio says lackadaisically. "I've got a whole week." She straightens her posture and stretches, causing her back's joints to audibly crack. The motion makes her already large chest look even bigger and perkier. "You are dismissed." Yumi releases the class. Students make their way to the doors. Michio sighs. "We'll have to talk later. I'll find you after classes end, got it?" She stands to leave. Forced to work her way past Felicia, the eyepatched woman's tight, athletic rear passes enticingly in front of Felicia's face. Michio continues her course to the room's exit.
Julia begrudgingly getting back up, knowing it was Angelica, was at least in a better mood about answer. "I'm here. Minute." Getting up again, she went to answer it. "Did something happen? Weren't you meeting with Dr. Kelsey today?"
