Domino City Duel Academy

Sure thing. No hurry. Adam's sarcasm can be felt as he gasps and wheezes for air as the woman punches him, the toned muscles of his stomach there for seduction rather than resilience. "Oof... Note to self... Do some strength training..." He gasps, as he fights to regain his breath. "Ha...ha... You sound embarrassed. I guess it's the latter option, then? You know, if you were interested in me that way you could have just said so. You're far from too bad yourself. I love those eyes of yours. Among other things." He attempts to hide just how much he was hurt, keeping up a cavalier attitude.

Fighting the chick beside me is a fool's errand, but what other choices do I have? Vainly, he tries another headbutt.

 

As she drew her next card, she smiled at bit. The advantage was building. Unlike her plays from before she actually summoned her first monster for the door and as it hit the field....it croaked. It was so small it was almost impossible to spot through the weeds but, it soon began to bulk up, looking oddly massive and muscular as if it was being fed steroids.


"I play....swap frog. Interesting note, while frogs are weak on they're on, they're aquatic water monsters, now, aren't they? And more importantly..."

The frog turned to look at Julia, as some kind of mystic power rose out of it's tattoos.

"When Swap Frog hits the field I can send a level two or lower water monster to the graveyard. And that card is-


"Ronnintoadin." She was obviously setting up her graveyard that she could summon something out of it even if swap frog and her monsters were destroyed. If Swapfrog was sent to the graveyard then Ronnintoadin could special summon itself, making them a rather nasty combination together.

"Now..." Julia smirked. "I activate swap frog's once per turn effect to return a monster to my hand..." Julia smirk only grew more and more confident.

"But you know what is a monster when it's summoned like this? I return...

She weighed the options carefully.

"Marella back to my hand....and proceed to set it as a trap again."

She took a breath to let Yoko follow her play before making the motion. "Swaptoad-attack the face down monster."

 

The black-haired heiress smiles slightly. She also keeps her voice down. "Yes. It is comforting to know I have such a valiant guardian, given my status. Thank you again."

"Have you settled on a date for receiving my tutelage?" Elisa asks. "The sooner the better, I should think."

 

"Glad to hear you're enjoying each other's company. Just be careful, just as you have a valiant guardian. Some have more... sinister spirits befitting their cards." Felicia replies, smiling as Elisha asks about the magic lessons. "Yeah, I think we can do it this weekend? Or perhaps on another day where we only have one class to attend?"

 

This can't be right... Quintet Magician's voice mutters. She has the Millennium Eye? But it was entombed...

Adam's assailant dodges the second headbutt attempt, catching the student's neck. She wraps her strong arms around his windpipe in a guillotine choke, threatening to cut off his air supply. It will be very difficult to Adam to free himself from the woman's hold.

 

[Yoko has no monsters out, unless I messed up my notes, just 2 backrow cards face down and 1 card in her hand, so this is a direct attack instead.]

"I activate Negate Attack." Yoko's mask grins.

A whirling wall of force prevents Swap Frog from getting anywhere near the kitsune. "Would you like to do anything else?"

 

Julia looked slightly annoyed, but it wasn't the worst outcome. It did save Yoko for another turn, but it wasn't anything too damaging.

"Not for now. I end my turn."

 

Millenium Eye? Who the fuck is this person? Hoping that Quintet's revelation provides him with something useful, the young man decides to make a play for time. "Agh! S-Surrender! I g-give up!" He squeaks as the woman chokes him. "Forgive m-me! You're just t-too beautiful... It made me lose my senses. I'll be g-good from now on..." Eyes bulging under the hood, he tries to charm the woman.

 

"I trust you have experience with these sinister ones?" Elisa nods at Felicia's scarred eye. "I am available for part of the weekend. Does Saturday, tomorrow, sound acceptable?"

 

"Yes, unfortunately." Felicia sighs, "If anyone invites you to something called a shadow duel, decline. Because if you accept, you're automatically wagering your soul." She warns her new friend, nodding as they discuss their plans for the weekend. "Sure, that works for me. Where should we meet?"

 

The Mayakashi spirit looks crestfallen.

"I set a monster and set another card. That's all." Yoko's hand is now devoid of cards. All her available tricks are on the field.

As Julia drew another card, she placed a card in her hand that looked useful, but wouldn't be helpful just yet. But she decided she had to proceed, flipping up Marella. "I activate Marella, and as a trap card is activated, I can bring Hallucengia to the field as well. On top of that, the card I send to the graveyard is-


"Eldonia, who now as part of the same chain summons itself back out."

The wetlands shook wildly as more fossil like beasts emerged and Julia made the single for an attack with all her monsters on the field. "If you can't block this, it's over."

 

The one known to you as Merneith. How...

"Knock him out again." Merneith commands, not at all dissuaded by the student.
"Yes, sir." The woman's grip tightens, and Adam falls unconscious soon afterwards.

Adam's eyes flutter awake. His abdomen still hurts where he was punched. He finds his hands cuffed behind him and his ankles bound together. He is lying on his front atop a cheap, uncomfortable mattress. As he rolls onto his back, the Frenchman sees that he is confined in a small cell with tempered glass braced by columns of pristine metal standing before this view of a hallway.

At least there's no one around right now.

 

"Wagering souls? How dangerous. What do these shadow duels entail?" Elisa asks, curious. "We will require privacy...Does meeting in my room suffice?"

 

"Shadow duels are... kind of like normal duels. But instead of holograms, your monsters, your cards come to life. And your life points aren't just numbers, they're your actual life. So getting directly attacked is dangerous, to the point that even if you still have some life points remaning, your body might not be able to endure." Felicia replied, "As for winning and losing... winning means you receive ownership of your opponent's soul, to do with as you please. And losing... well..." The red-head stops there. "Sure, we can do that. I'll come visit you tomorrow. Just tell me what time you're available."

 

"Well, fuck." Adam sighs. With no time pressure, he slowly tries to get his hands out from underneath his legs, and then goes to examine the cell for any weaknesses. Shit, I might have led Julia into this crap as well. He thinks with worry, as he looks around.

 

Yoko's mad grin returns as Julia summons more Paleozoics. "I activate Demise of the Land!" The spirit proclaims after Eldonia is summoned.

"What is dead shall rise anew!" The professor's Wetlands shatters as a veritable horde of undead creatures hurriedly dig out of the marshy earth beneath the duelists' feet. They stand within Zombie World once again.

[So, everything Julia did goes through, but she loses Wetlands too. Does she still want to attack the face down monster, and then Yoko?]

 

The massive attack decrease wasn't a good sign, but with the amount of monsters, she could still probe a face down card and hope it has very low defense value. Thinking about which one, she didn't mind losing, she pointed to Elondia. "Elondia, attack the face down monster."

 

"I see..." The other girl's eyes narrow. "I thank you for the information." She takes a moment to think. "Best to come in the morning. It might take quite a while, or it may only require an hour. Depends on your natural inclinations and magical aptitude."

"You're welcome." Felicia replies, smiling before their class started. She focuses on the lecture about art, hoping they aren't given any more tasks to draw, or sketch anything.
