Oh hey! I remember I can make one of these! Slave Tournament is a story about slaves and a tournament in which the loser(you never see this coming) becomes the winner's slave! Well, technically it's a bit more complicated then that but this is a pitch so shut up Featuring: branching paths depending on win or loss maledom( a little) femdom(a lot) humiliation! body control! tough psychological choices(do you fuck the devil or do you kill it?) a fight so difficult it killed off half the readership a protagonist that's literally named Beta and lots of sexy pictures to compensate for poor writing. Does this sound appealing to you? No, of course not! But I wasted approximately 30 seconds of your lifetime. And isn't that what writing is all about?
Well, it's a good thing that there is a lot more to this story than just the pitch. For example, enjoyable writing, coherent plot, a nice fantasy world that is a pleasure to to learn more of, interesting characters and nice sex scenes. Though, does Femto ever wash her tail? It's nice to read something with more comedic and less serious style. It is even more enjoyable since here the comedy is not detracting from the storytelling. The plot seems coherent and overall plot seems to stays constant over all branches. For example Mari's motivation seems to stay same everywhere, not like he is in one branch looking for his sister and in another trying to become the ruler of all Formerly Free Cities. That fight against Beatrice was surprisingly annoying. With about half the doors it would probably have stayed at least marginally in clean fun territory. I have now taken significantly more than 30 seconds on this message and it's well past midnight. So I'll have to stop here so that yhe coherence my writing does not descend to levels Mari achieved in his training diary.
That depends if you count lava as a liquid. You know, I don't think I had a single person who actually liked the doors. And I was so looking forward to them too! lol. But yeah, I definitely went overboard with them, I even contemplated allowing a skip option but just couldn't bring myself to it. At least storymap cheating is always an option. Overall though, I'm very happy with the reception Slave Tournament got. It is my most popular story by a huge margin and to still have dedicated readers 70+ chapters in feels amazing. As an idea I liked the doors, but after spending an evening trying to figure how many states the doors have, I just clicked the link in notifications to continue. If there had been some indication before opening a door of where I was, I would have wasted less time trying to check whether there are four of five states that only differ by one door from other ones. It was a fun puzzle, but then the story continued, I just kept following it past teh puzzle.
