All your items are in the nebulous area of held, but not equipped and will be with you when you leave this floor.

Up until now we always got an introduction to the floor boss,. Right now we don't really know what we are up against, if it has ads, if we can sneak past it without fighting it etc.

Miss-Emmie's plan sounds good and mostly follows how Yulia's group has fought before. So we can continue with the panties buried at the bottom of our inventory.

Waiting until we know what we are against before making the final decision sounds even better.

There will be a proper introduction to the boss when you actually go to fight it before your decisions on how to fight the boss need to be made.

Before anything else, try holding up the scepter and try to order it to stay in place. We might be able to get through this without a fight.

Since it's on guard duty, we can probably do all of our usual buffs with the horn and Energize from where we are. And if blunt damage is most effective, it might be best to give the Gloves of Harvest to Cherchiel so she can make full use of her insane strength.

It may also be worth it to simply attack both its eyes and then try to swim past. Having Yulia try to snipe them from afar with Force Lance might avoid the hypnotic effects, but if it seems like that isn't the case we'll just have to close in with our close-ranged fighters. The scepter gives us the advantage in moving around. The Leviathan is large enough that it probably can't be pushed around, but we certainly can. Just try to keep away from it.

If a fight is our only option, our key strategy will be forcing our two grenades down its throat. Its scales won't make a difference there. Yulia should be focused on mowing down anything that tries to come out, while everyone else chips away at the Leviathan.

This sounds good, but should we consider keeping one of the less impact oriented melee fighters in reserve to protect Yulia while she takes out the creatures coming out?

Erk, yeah I don't see us fighting this turn out well.
. Magic is kinda our thing and as far as blunt weapons go we have jack shit.

We could maybe chuck the grenades at it but I don't see that being enough

Definitely agree with trying to get by without a fight.

    How about this:

Goldfish are able to see clearly for 15 feet, or 4.5 meters, before things turn blurry. This is why a sudden movement away from the tank can startle fish, whereas elegant movement within the range of clear-goldfish-sight seems to calm the fish.

Our goal should thus be to elegantly calm down the demonic goldfish by having one of the girls pretend to be Leva

She's fully naked, her pale skin with a bluish green tint on full display, scales covering just below her sharp green serpentine eyes staring at Yulia, her black painted lips twisted into a grin. Her breasts are full and the size of soccer balls. Slits in her skin sit just beneath her breasts, seemingly functioning like gills and below that her hips are covered in more scales, but like her breasts and stomach her pelvis is soft flesh instead, her cunt visible, a dark purple gash standing out proudly from the skin around it, her legs are toned and covered in more scales down to her feet which had been seen before

This I believe fits most with Lri

all of them have scaled skin in shades of purple or pink. Unlike the fish person earlier, these look more reptilian with red snake like eyes, sharp fanged mouths that extend outwards slightly in a form almost like a snout.

The one who spoke has a mohawk, deep pink scales, fairly average breasts, a black one piece and summons into existence, much like the fish man did with his javelin, a pair of sharp looking daggers.

    Shame about the boobs though...

So we have Lri strip naked, deck her out with both the blade of envy and the scepter of still water.

Then we have her pretend to be Leva and demand that the goldfish let us pass.

So, Lri, act all haughty and evil. And the rest of you are obviously slaves who Leva has captured so act very submissive. Cherchiel has experience with that, so she can take point.

Lri, you can play around with Yulia while negotating with the goldfish. Just remember how she humiliated you on your first meeting. Make sure to give the goldfish a good show. And remember to be elegant!

The rest of you just chant "All hail Leva" or something.

I don't know if it's safe to assume a whale-sized goldfish with hypnotic eye powers has the same level of vision as an ordinary one that hasn't been enhanced by demonic powers. Bringing everyone in risks us getting caught up in the hypnotic power as well.

I still think we should go for a run and gun strategy where Yulia targets its eyes with magic (the scales deflect magic which we should be wary of, but the eyes won't if we hit them) so if we can use Force Lance and Blizzard to target its eyes and obstruct its view, we may be able to slip past.

My biggest issue is the unknown factor of the creatures that will come out to protect it if we injure the goldfish. We have no idea what we will end up dealing with here.

Aside from Lri nobody needs to look into the goldfish eyes, if Lri gets hypnotized Goma can use puppet on her, while Yulia casts cure

I think, either we get whole buffed party eaten by the goldfish and see what we can do inside it, or we try Miss-Emmie's run and gun strategy and hope to get by.

The symbiotic creatures are living inside the Goldfish. So there is achnce that the inside of Goldfish is survivable to some extent.

It's because it's a goldfish that it's so hard. It's like the bunny from Monty Python. We absolutely can't underestimate it.

If we go with the grenades we definitely should feed the thing the poison ones too, we're never getting any use of them anyways

I offer one more strategy, it's much less sexy, which sucks but might get us through.

First we give the Halo and cooking ingredients(fish) to Lri.

Yulia cast energize on everyone(will take a mana potion but better safe then sorry)

Then we have Lri using the veil of hidden depths swim past the goldfish
Once she is on the other side she reveals herself getting the goldfish's attention, obviously she should take care to not look into its eyes while doing so

Then while the goldfish's attention is on Lri the rest of the group uses the scepter to quickly pass it

Meanwhile Lri, being the best swimmer, will have to escape the goldfish and rejoin the group. She can drop the fish to hopefully get the goldfish to stop following her.

This is of course very risky for her, which is why we give her the Halo as a safety net.

I'll agree to go along with Gambio's plan. If we can slip past it without a fight, I say we do it.

Phew, we've finally cleared the floor. This will probably only get harder from here, but we've proven we can overcome tough odds.

In between floors, I want to think a bit about Elena, the previous Chosen. For one, I'm curious if anyone in our party (including Martin) might have run into her, or heard anything about her that hasn't come up already. Given what we've learned, I suspect she's traveled most of the same floors as us. When choosing between an angelic path and a demonic path for the third floor, I suspect she'd choose the former. And the presence of that plant monster near the Fae exit and the fact that Muna's sister lost the bet to Dreg last time means she probably went down through Isalia's version of the 5th floor. I'm curious about her abilities, but what I really want to focus on is who or what could have killed her. She was able to take on armies on her own. Yet somehow poison was able to finish her? Not to mention, this traitor apparently lost several times but won in the end, and is choosing to remain on the top floor. Whoever they are, we'll have to deal with them eventually.

It's interesting that no companions were mentioned accompanying Elena here on Calumina. Maybe this companion joined later, so we should ask about them on subsequent floors. But I have another of my patented Crazy Theories so hear me out.

The fact that this occurred on the final floor stands out to me. It reminds me of something Dahlia said, about how Alide wouldn't always be on our side, how she would fulfill her role in the Tower. Don't forget, when Alide isn't in her shop in the floor we're on, she's up in the top floor. So that'd explain why the traitor is staying up there, Alide only leaves for brief windows of time. It would explain the dogged persistence in fighting Elena multiple times before finally overcoming her, if Alide's role is to be the final obstacle a Chosen faces. Given Dahlia was strong enough to kill and replace the Demon of Gifts and Dreg is a former fae king, it would be safe to assume Alide's strength is comparable. It's clear Identify didn't give us everything about Alide, so we don't know what exactly she has up her sleeve. And the idea that the traitor "could only be defeated through death" could be connected to the relationship that seems to exist between Alide and the wandering floor monsters. Although maybe, killing all of them on the first 9 floors could provide an alternative path. Or maybe it's just someone we haven't heard of before and I'm reaching again.

For Yulia alone: Now will be the best chance you'll have for a while to discuss what you've learned about your nature with the others. Whether you share it or not is up to you, but for what it's worth you've all been through a lot together and I don't think they'd see you differently. Also, it would be better to tell them now when your discussion won't be interrupted by anything, rather than them finding out from someone like Dahlia later.

engin for reasons I can't disclose yet, are you familiar with the game "Fear & Hunger?"

    That went pretty much perfect.

Good job everyone! That's another floor cleared, only three more to go.

Granted the last three floor took us a year and a half to clear and I have no doubt that the final three floors will dwarf that, but since time moves faster for you, you are in the homestretch now.

As always I will blatantly ignore the lore implications but I do agree that coming clean about your undead status is better then letting it fester. I personally don't think it's that big of a deal, but I remember when I played Hordes of the underdark and my partymembers betrayed me AT THE LAST BOSS because my charisma wasn't high enough.

Now that was some grade a bullshit, so I'd like to get ahead of that right away.

I did play a bit of Fear and hunger: Termina, but never got very far.

I will not address here anything else suggested or asked, but of course any questions posed here will be addressed by the Chosen and her companions on monday.
