Just a side note:
Underlines are usually not part of the markdown syntax and might not work elsewhere.
So we use a CHYOA flavored markdown

 

All the more reason for our "Everything you need to know" guide to have the pages about our markdown system reinstated and updated!

 

Did you know you can do -strike-through- in a story?

Will yield struck text! The person who referred me to the site taught me that, and He said it wasn't in the guide!

Strikethrough is usually not a part markdown.
CHYOA uses a github flavored library for markdown parsing which includes strikethrough.

Markdown isn't an unambiguous specification yet, so it may work slightly different depending on the implementation and the flavor. (Though there is a project to define the standard specification "CommonMark".)

Just me thinking out loud again. Not even sure if any of these would be possible.

God mode. Mode that authors can use to edit their stories without having to click the edit button for every chapter if they are reworking a story.

Quick links story map. A story map that has a button in front of and behind each chapter that if you click the end of one chapter and the front of another it creates a link. Clicking it again and the stories unlinks the stories.

Permanent recently updated on my stories list instead of automatically being set to alphabetical order every time you visit or the ability to set it permanently to the writers preference.

Option for editors to opt out of a story in the my stories menu if they are added without consent.

Auto display in game mode where if you click change to condition it displays the conditions you have already used instead of having to type them repeatedly.

I could also imagine that adding as editor would just send a message with an accept-link.

 

That would be awesome, especially if it allowed adding editors to unpublished stories...
