Dahlia's tower role and her position as Demon of Gifts are two separate things. She's always had her Tower role, but at some point she killed the previous Demon of Gifts and took his job. Technically this is the second time we've shown up to her home in the Tower, it's just that the one we saw a few floors ago was the one for her role as Demon of Gifts.
Dahlia's role as an archdemon is different from her role as a functionary. Her role as a functionary is to give the character fetishes in return for boons.
Newest Chapter: This chapter, may seem a bit bitter, I swear it's not. I just struggled with what to pad this chapter with since nothing happened.
Rough Rape? Reproductive Ravish? Romantic Relationship? While I doubt there is any thought behind it, since both doors are labelled "RR" I vote for right.
I did occur to me that we need to pick a door (if we weren't going back), but given we know nothing I thought an arbitrary choice would be fine. Well, if we aren't being arbitrary maybe (probably not) it'll be like the pain pleasure doors from ages ago, so left (if I remember correctly).
I mean my thought process is that yes technically you guys don't have any useful info to make an informed choice, but if you guys do make a choice at least instead of me making it, I can't be blamed for picking the potentially worse option and you guys still have the onus for the results of said decision. Which I feel at least is the only way the Tower stays fair. even when you can't make an informed choice, the choice even a random one should still be up to you.
I guess that is fair, although we wouldn't blame you anyway (we would blame Yulia, or whoever made a decision!) I'll keep that in mind and put something for the default judgement in future.
Newest Chapter: So I didn't do any rolls for Alide last chapter cause it felt rude to stall a chapter and let Alide still do her work, but... apparently she didn't like that...
I highly doubt the challenge is just "walk between all these ropes hanging from the ceiling." They are probably animated and will try to attack and bind anyone who gets too close to them. Currently, we have three options: 1. We accept Dahlia's offer, pushing back our encounter with Alide. Pros of this option are we avoid a fight. Con is probably going to involve rope bondage and sex. 2. We retreat, not really gaining anything and only losing time. 3. We fight Alide here. Pros, she hasn't set traps here (separate from the ropes) and the ropes will impede her movements as much as ours. Cons, we have to fight Alide. I'm leaning towards fighting here. Alide hasn't had the chance to set up traps, and her the ropes here will be as likely to trap her as us. I think it's better to deal with Alide sooner than later. Also, we've tried Identify on Alide before and some of it was covered up, but that may have been done to hide Alide's role and abilities as a floor monster, so let's try it again to start things off. As for tactics: Goma, use the horn and then try to use Puppet on the ropes, I doubt it would have any effect on Alide if used on her directly but maybe we can use the ropes to bind her. Sally and Beck: focus on getting between Yulia and Alide, you're our primary tanks and can come back from damage that would be fatal to anyone else. Cherchiel: Use the carapace armor to go into ball mode, that should keep the ropes from grabbing you while letting you charge towards Alide to mow her down Yulia: Use Open Sesame paired with single-target offensive magic like icicle, lightning strike, and force lance to make sure it hits Alide without damaging the ropes around her (since we're relying on those to bind her). Be ready to shift to healing as the situation requires, especially Great Cure if anyone gets poisoned Isalia: Your plasma rifle has three charges, and I don't see any point in saving them given the circumstances, so look for an opportunity to shoot Alide the moment she gets caught Lri: Same as Isalia, but earlier in the fight throw up illusions of more ropes and attacks to confuse and distract Alide Lemiel: Use your Angelic Rays to hit Alide from a distance, and be ready to provide healing. Maple: You're also on sniping duty, use that rail gun bow to get some damage in from the start of the fight since you and Yulia are likely the only ones who'll be able to hit Alide before she gets bound Talwa: If Magic Armor can be used on allies, spread that out to prevent fatalities, your wide-range fire magic should be saved since Alide can likely avoid it and it will get rid of the ropes that can impede her movements. Worst case, use it if we need a big burst of damage to finish her off and it looks like no one else can deliver it Alide is likely the most dangerous opponent we'll be facing (unless we have to take on Dahlia or any of the other Tower admins, but it seems like Alide is the only one we're being forced to fight outright) so feel free to use whatever potions and plasma attacks or anything else that are necessary. All that said, if I get outvoted on accepting Dahlia's offer or retreating, so be it
A level battlefield is probably about as good as we could hope for without setting up our own traps. I agree that the ropes are going to try and restrain people, open should work just fine on them but that relys on Yulia being in the fight. This is going to be a challenge of keeping Yulia from being taken out and drinking enough potions to use all the many spells. Emmie's plan seems good. Beck can physically shield Yulia if required although open may bypass that too. The rail gun bow should be very valuable, and Goma has a knife useful against ropes. Goma can also try puppet on Alide or perhaps a rope (identify on the ropes may also say something useful). Use grenades and rifles as much as you need, open can probably teleport one if needed. And if Dhalia doesn't run away you might be able to take up her deal if the fight is looking bad (it is probably better than the alternative for losing). Unless by "get rid of" Dhalia means "kill", in that case it's a great deal.
The rope room, eh? Remiiiin! ... For the sake of fairness I probably should sit this one out, as this room is something I'm rather familiar with, including it's gimmick lol
Fairness? Not something I ever tried to find, every advantage for Yulia if you ask me. Although perhaps I should start researching and see if I can work our what you know.
Nah, it's just that the concept of this room came up in a RP we did a while back. It feels cheap if I weigh in on this.
Ah, so not something I can easily find. I did guess it would be something between you two but I was hoping it would be inspiration from another story that I could find. Anyway, I did have an idea. Open works on anything that isn't force or the tower itself, so try using it on the ropes with the concept of to not impede our party. I bet it won't be that simple (Alide could do the same thing) but it might work.
Funnily enough, I actually did give that room a cameo in one of my stories recently, lol https://chyoa.com/chapter/Deja-vu.1651784 It only comes up briefly at the end of the chapter, so you won't be able to gleam much from it. Yeah, it's even more complicated since that room was all Remin's idea XD
I will say... In this case I just chose two out of the many possible fetishes for Yulia and made rooms based on them. This is of course her bondage fetish
