It's all about game mode and not game mode. My first suggestion is to have a page for notes on the sidebar/menu where you have comments, about page etc but linked to the chapter. It would work like a permanent stickied up comment from the author adding flavor to the text, a picture or the make up of a character sheet. It would be static and designed for stories that are not in game mode. It probably wouldn't be really hard to do.
The second idea so people can vote on each separately. For game mode this time a functional character sheet with a number of bars (%) and stats (numerical) Those stats would be set at the creation of the story or by edit story function and have very short easy names ( three or 4 characters) but would be references once typed by their full name entered in the edit menu. Ex: a bar for arousal. One would only have to type say {xxx} but it would display the word arousal in the character sheet. In game mode keeping the name of variables meaningful enough so the reader can understand the score makes it a pain in the ass to write them in the text. This would probably be hard to do and I don't except to see it soon unless we roll in tons of patreon cash from a billionaire fan but I think it would be nice to have it one day.
In the first moment, I thought you wanted a field where the author could leave notes or information for himself or an editor, only visible when editing the chapter. (like the link to a picture for special items or character appearance you described within the chapter for later reference.) Actually, the votes wouldn't be visible separately because only the first post's likes will be shown in the forum list. That would basically the same as the Score tab but using aliases for the variables. (not sure, if there is already a suggestion of replacing variable names by aliases (name the variable {xxx} and show "Arousal" in the Score tab))
@TheDespaxas : I think you need to take apart this suggestion into multiple threads like I did with my two new variables ideas...
