Harem Story Ideas Looking for idea’s with one guy and multiple girls fighting for his affection. Here or a few I can think of. Modern, Young Adult High school or college would be the easiest setting. One guy hooking up with very different girls such as the cheerleader, the Goth girl, the band geek, the nerd. Or can turn his attention on the staff. The teachers, gym coach, the sexy Liberian, school nurse, secretary and maybe even the principle. Fantasy A fighter teams up with three women, a cunning thief who grew up on the streets, a Ranger skilled in archery and tracking who knows the land and a novice sorceress with ties to the noble families. Science Fiction A man either buys or inherits a ship and finds himself stuck in the tin can with his hot shot pilot, cunning and tough engineer, and caring medical specialist.
Going with the college idea, it would be interesting to see the staff going after him, with an actual betting pool between them for who he will end up with. Great for actual story because he could later find out about the bet and be pissed at first. Then realizes that he is angry because he was actually falling for one or more of of the girls. Suggested girls for this would be the Principle (Looking more to land a husband than anything), a slutty school nurse (Cares more for getting laid than winning), a fun gym teacher (In it just for fun), one of his teachers (Hoping to save the guy some heart break at the hands of the other girls), and a cute librarian who really didn't want to be part of the bet but got pressured in.
True that could be a very fun to try. But going after a student has sort of a taboo feel to it. Plus a younger stud might be more interested in playing the field with the ladies and be more surprised when he actually realizes his feelings for one of them. Personally I would be rooting for the gym teacher or the nurse. The gym teacher because she wouldn't be that serious about winning the bet, but as time went on, she starts getting more and more competitive about it and then when the guy is heart broken by the bet, she realizes how wrong it was. The nurse because as a slut she would be just as willing to play the field and when she learns that not only is he sleeping with all of their little group, but probably one or two other students, she sees how painful it is having someone treat her the way she treats others, she starts to have a change of heart too.
Modern, Adult: A replay of "The Bachelor", with scheduled romantic dates and exhibitions of talent and affection by each bachelorette -- except that each of the bachelorettes has a fan posse trying to mess things up for the other candidates. Modern, Young Adult: Young Mr. Popular has just been ditched by his girlfriend. Now he's available... who wants to catch him on the rebound? Is he catchable? Medieval: A young man sneaks into a remote nunnery where the misbehaving daughters of the wealthy and powerful are shut away from the world. He's there to rescue his paramour -- but the other restless girls won't let him go unless he takes them too, or perhaps at least shows them a good time. Maybe by the time he arrives, his girlfriend has already been taken away to marry someone she doesn't love.
Zingiber, I like your Medieval idea! Wouldn't mind seeing that made into a story on here. I would definitely read that one.
Always remember the Monty Python nunnery, which they thought was a distraction from The Holy Grail but was in fact full of very attractive horny kinky nuns - my idea of heaven, stuff the grail! This sounds a bit Stephen King but how about a man arriving in a remote town (probably in the mountains) with a mysterious past, perhaps with some hidden powers, who starts forming attachments with the womenfolk until, one by one, visits become longer and rivals disappear?
another western idea Flint, a former soldier turned bounty hunter rides into the town of widow hills named for the countless widows who moved there during the civil war to escape it. He is looking for his current bounty, two sisters turned criminals. He soon meets the old sheriff and his tough head strong female deputy but when a gang of outlaws kill the sheriff he is asked to take the job and must team up with the deputy and the criminal sisters he came to town to catch.
Just a little sidebar here. In Shakespeare's era and in the context Hamlet uses it, "Nunnery" was slang for "Brothel."
In some cases I belive they where both, the church ran the nunnery as a brothel,or so the rumors go. i wasn't there personally.
* A guy running a cafe/small business with only female employees who vie for his favours/attention to get the best shifts/pay etc. *A wayfarer/drifter who stumbles across a remote farm run by an older woman and her daughters, and staying on to work. *A guy who has inherited a fortune and has various women fighting over him to become his wife and inherit his money

Put a little thought into it, If i get a chance to start another storythink I might go with the highschool harem because it's easy to make up characthers. Thinking the reader would be a transfer studant starting his senior year at a new school. That sounds like my "Strip Club Patron" stories on "Slut World". Add a few more characters to a story like that, and that could be something I could either read or contribute. Then I thought about a Futuristic Cyberpunk story based on the Shadowrun Universe: A Shadowrunner who knows either 3 women who are also Shadowrunners, or he has affiliations with 3 women, of 3 different factions, who offer various contracts.
Maybe a transfer student from somewhere exotic, or who just spent a year abroad? It would be interesting seeing the teachers fighting over his attentions (mixing in @dearnise 's notion of competition). How big a harem could Our Boy keep happy?
Here's an idea I've been tossing around. What do you guys think of a harem inspired by Gothic fiction? You have inherited an isolated manor house from your estranged parents. You find the house unwelcoming, but after learning its grim reputation, you decide to stay and investigate its history. You invite some of your parents' associates for a visit so you can conduct private "interviews": a nun, a policewoman, and a scientist. Their stories contradict in many ways, but they all believe your parents were hiding something foul within the house. What could it be? Do you even want to know?
