Hello! So the title of this thread might be under detailed, what I mean is whenever I draft a chapter for my story that I havent published yet, it says it will automatically be published with the story. I have a weird way of wanting to publish my stories, where I would rather push out continuous chapters on a regular basis. This is in contrast to those who publish like 10 chapters then go silent, which I have nothing against it's just not how I operate. Baseline question, is there anyway that I can publish just my introduction chapter of a story without the others?
There is a suggestion about that here Besides, maybe Friedman would do it if you ask him prior to publishing the story. (Or maybe with a note in the title?)
I am probably missing something obvious, but why not draft the chapter outside of the CHYOA interface, then C&P it in when you want to publish?
Well, that would work as a workaround, though there are different reasons to do it on CHYOA 1. You can access it from "everywhere" 2. If you use a shared computer, it is easier to hide your content from other users 3. If you create a game mode story, you can test it before publishing 4. You can use tools like Grammarly while you're writing (yes, there are also other ways to use it, though that's not that convenient.)
You can write chapters then delete them and publish the first page then restore said chapters into draft mode after publishing.
Somewhat related to this, I think I goofed up while publishing a new story. The introduction chapter was rejected and I was told to add more to it and then republish it. Not quite knowing what I was doing, I accidentally hit republish before doing so and then rejected the intro chapter before I finally figured out how to edit the chapter to add more substance to it. So now I'm just wondering if there is anything I have to do to fix this or is this something a moderator has to take care of?
