Xa'rak nods. "I can definitely understand that. I asked Vao on the bus where to find the boss, but she wasn't sure, so lead the way". He follows them without any fuss.
They lead him inside in The Command Centre They head off and return after shortly after with someone very Familiar. "Xa'rak Vriar." She crosses her Arms, her gaze cold.
Xa'rak is shocked. His mouth hangs open, before a slight giggle starts to come from his throat. His expression turns into a smirk as his giggle turns into a full belly laugh. "Oh, Master Shan, the Force has a weird sense of humour, doesn't it? Who'd have thought that after all these years its will would bring us together again, especially on a scum filled hive like Nar Shadaa".
"Yeah The Force has its fair share of mistakes aswell. Did Your so called Friends abandoned You once they found out Your no good?"
Xa'rak's smile fades a little. "Yes". He crosses his arms and walks to within five feet of Bastila, where his pheromones can take effect. "Listen, as much as I'd like to stay here trading barbs, could we talk business?"
"Yeah, seems like it. Hopefully those guys are okay," Kate sighed, "If I picked up anything from mandalore, its that the people that inhabit that place are tough, stubborn, and havea habit of suddenly appearing out of nowhere."
His Pheromones have no effect whatsoever on The Jedi Master. "You come here to Manipulate Me to get what You want? You havent changed one bit. I won't let You herass anyone here. Leave this Place at once."
Clenching his fists, Xa'rak tries to suppress his rage. "Kick me out, and you kick out the chance to get medical supplies and food". He gestures outside to the refugee camp "Look out there. People are starving, they're sick. Are you willing to let them die just because you hate me? I don't need much from you, just a little information. Once I've gotten what I wanted and deliver the supplies you need to help these people, you never need to see me again. Just hear me out".
"A woman came down here recently. Blonde, beautiful, in a black catsuit. She's a skilled mercenary, I've worked with her before. Before the Empire took Alderaan, I owned a number of charities, supplying food and medicine to people suffering in famines and wars. I stockpiled these supplies in a number of vaults around Alderaan, along with money, weapons and other valuables, in case my accounts ever got frozen, which they have been. My organisation was taken over by a traitor, who knows the location of these vaults, but not the codes to access them. She's sent her forces to guard them, while she tries to get in. I want to put together a crew to go raid one of my vaults. I want the blonde to be part of that crew. My people and I will take the money and weapons, and you get the supplies you need".
"Hmh So You are actually suprised that one of Your so called Partners backstabbed You? I see You kept really good Company for someone You who Runs a so called Charity Organisation. Call it the way it Is....A Crime Syndicate. And what is it You Plan with those Weapons? Ruin more Peoples lifes? Wasn't Your own enough?"
Breathing deeply to keep his temper in check, "I want those weapons for the same reason you have weapons. To fight the Empire, to fight the people who betrayed me. And yes, it was a surprise when I was betrayed by someone I raised out of poverty and loved like a daughter. It was a surprise, when she sent me holo footage of the people who stood by me and remained loyal, as they were lined up against a wall and shot.". He struggles not to raise his voice "I admit it, I ran a syndicate, but the charity wasn't part of it. We helped people. Hell, we helped more people than the Jedi! For two thousand years slavery was rampant on Alderaan. The rich bought people captured on the Outer Rim, and sent them to do back breaking labour, or worse. The Jedi let it happen. I arrived on Alderaan, and in three years slavery was gone. How did I do it? With the money and power I gained from crime. I did bad things, for the right reasons. You Jedi sit and do nothing. Maybe if you were willing to break some rules, Bastila, these people wouldn't be hungry and sick".
Bastila raises her voice at him, some Soldiers and other People stop and look at the Scene. "Oh You are a Expert at breaking Rules. I know it all to well. Should i break mine? I could but where do I draw The Line between Right and wrong then? I could break everything I stand for and End up like You since Your Concept of Life brought You so much more Joy right?"
"You draw the line wherever you feel is right. It's your decision. It might be easier to let the Order tell you what's right and wrong, but that isn't a good way to live". Xa'rak calms down a little, and lowers his voice. "I decide what I think is and wrong. That isn't the easy path, but it's the right one. Right now, I'm standing here listening to you insult and berate me, and I'm still going to give you free supplies to help people. Is that not the right thing to do? Of course it is, and I didn't need some stupid Jedi code to tell me that". He sighs "Yes, my life has gone off the rails, I've lost a lot, but so have you. You Jedi stuck to your beliefs, and now Coruscant has fallen, you're hiding on one of the worst places in the galaxy, and many "good Jedi" who followed the code, have been turned into Sith. Neither of our lifestyles have been working out all that well".
Xa'rak holds up his hands in a placating gesture. "Look, I know she came here, so she must have been brought to see you. Just tell me where she is in this camp, or where she went if she left, and I'll take it from there. You won't have to deal with me any further".
"Come on, Bastila, you know this is the right move". He looks directly into her eyes, pleading with her.
Bastila sighs and shooks her Head. "Fine...Fine this isnt really my Business anyway. Follow me then...."
Sighing in relief, Xa'rak follows quickly behind the Master, trying not to look at her firm ass through her robes.
