Zenobia nods. "I thought that you would. Do you have anyone you know that is competent? Anyone you'd like to accompany you?"
"That depends on the mission, Ma'am. I know a very skilled mechanic, and a pilot if they're necessary." DT-L30 replied.
Valhia sees that there are a number of information screens in the cockpit, including one that shows a bounty board. At the present moment there are three bounties available. A live only bounty for a bail jumper, standing at 1000 credits. A dead or alive bounty for a con artist for 5000 credits, and a dead or alive bounty for a drug dealer, for 15,000 credits. She knows that jobs are snapped up quickly in this business, so by the time she's done one job, someone else will have started the other, and under Guild rules, you can't go after someone else's bounty.
Zenobia puts a hand to her chin for a moment. "There could be Rebels going after this Jedi, so having a number of different skills could be useful. Take them. I can also assign you a fire team of your fellow death troopers, but that's about it. She's on Arkanis, which is a neutral system. Sending a whole platoon would cause political headaches."
She goes after the con artists. No need to be too risky or greedy, and not to mention 1000 credits won’t get her far.
DT-L30 nods, "Indeed, if stealth is required, I can have my companions blend in as normal civilians, while I remain in the shadows." He replied, knowing how a death trooper's armor is designed to prevent radars from spotting them. "As for my companion's names, the engineer is Fendrat Stussad, while the pilot is Loreley Rhinnus. Perhaps you've heard of them?"
"Hmm.." Kayana had suspected things to be a little more complicated. It was just one guy. Cyborg or not, the old guy was caught in a bad situation. Kayana debated briefly. He had the opportunity. He wasn't the sort of romantic rogue who avoided taking more lives than just his target, but couldn't really come up with a real reason why this old guy deserved to die just for being in the way. However, it did nothing to stop the assassin from examining the pilot's cybernetics and search for anything important looking to shove his vibroblade into. While Kay was more than confident he could take him, even a skilled pilot would have their work cut out for them if they were cheapshotted from behind while trying to fly. He searched to stab something to disable whatever systems this dinosaur would have in place.
Opening the bounty page, Vahlia sees that her target is a male human, on Taris. She presses the button to accept the contract.
Kayana sees that the man's enhancements are mostly optical. They're the type old pilots usually get when their eyesight declines to much for them to be able to pilot a ship properly. Nothing that would help in a fight
Zenobia looks pensive for a moment. "The engineer? Never heard of him. I think that the pilot is some kind of ace, right?"
“Ah...Taris a decaying planet where the wealthy are protected and the rest are criminals and thugs. Ecosystem will never recover. Best to find some masks on this ship when I do arrive I won’t be suffocating.” Telling herself as she begins to look over the ship. Her bounty droid watches over the cockpit after she leaves.
Laughing a little bit, Kayana determined that stabbing him was probably unnecessary. He was going to steal his ship anyway. There was only so much bad luck someone could get in one day. Stepping behind the pilot, he began to press the blade just close enough to the neck so the sleeping man would have to feel the pressure against his throat. "Cry for help and you won't be able to say anything ever again. If you understand that, you are going to make this easy." He was only partly bluffing. He wasn't planning to seriously injure him...but if it happened...as far as Kayana was concerned, that was just rotten luck on his end.
Like many ships, the yacht does have a few oxygen masks. It's clearly a ship meant for entertainment. She sees a well stocked bar, as well as a large holo projector. In the cargo hold, there's a case of spice.
The man takes a while, but he wakes up. When he registers the blade at his throat, he gulps. "Look, I'm not looking for a fight. Take whatever you want from the hold".
"Ah, well....see...here's the thing. I need the ship. So...you are going to have to spend the rest of the trip locked in the storage bay. So..up and 'attem." He issued his demands, using his arm to lift the pilot out of the seat slowly but didn't ease the blade away from him.
The pilot doesn't resist. "Fine, just give me back the ship when you're at your destination". He goes with the cyborg.
"Yeah, sure." It was unclear if he was being sarcastic or not as he guided the pilot to the place that Kay had stowed away on. After the door to the storage room unsealed, he had released the pressure of his knife from the pilot so he could not too roughly but firmly shove the pilot in the direction. This made the assassin stop to stare at his silk gloved arm that covered his machine parts. "Ew. I touched old guy."
The old man laughs nervously. "Look, my crew is going to be trapped here, so just let me come back and pick them up when you're done".
"Well, I'll see what I can do. I mean...the troops will probably end up searching the ship so it's not like I can keep it forever. When they find it, they will probably let you out. As long as you don't got anything too weird, you should be fine. You complain a lot for not being murdered, you know. Take what you can get. You already got cybernetics made from Kelico vision, and a pretty much junk ship anyway. Think of this as your lucky break." Kay didn't leave time for a retort or pause to see the man's reaction before pressing the button to seal the door.
