DT-L30 soon arrives at the admiral's office, walking past his fellow death troopers. He enters her office, "Excuse me, the pilot I mentioned will be here shortly." He said, failing to share any other details. He stands by the corner as Fendrat, and the admiral chat.
Zenobia gives the death trooper a pointed look. "Perhaps you don't yet have the necessary experience to understand, but when you undertake a task I have given you, and you disrespect a superior officer, you put me in an uncomfortable position." She crosses her arms. "I have a choice between either agreeing with the officer, and looking weak, or disagreeing with them, and making an enemy. I don't like to be put in either of those situations. When an officer gives you shit, you just patch them through to me. Understand? You don't threaten them, you don't insult them, you don't use my name in vain. Just let me handle it. Clear?"
The wing commander nodded, 'Very well, Admiral. We are at your command. I merely prefer to get my orders from my betters and not from rabble who thinks he can intimidate people into doing what he wants just because his helmet scrambles his voice. The pilots will be with you shortly. Commander Gasten, out.' He went back to Loreley, 'Seems like the spooks want you for something.' He turned to the pilot next to her, 'Tarrik, you go with her, they need two pilots. Report to Rear Admiral Zenobia. You two better come back alive too, I don't need another shipment of rookies. Dismissed' The two pilots stood up and saluted, 'Aye aye, sir!' and left the QRA room. The wing commander looked to another officer, 'Wake up Hicks, we'll do with one fewer today.' The two pilots soon arrived at the admiral's office and were let inside. Loreley and Tarrik quickly glanced at the two people already there, then stood at attention in front of the admiral's desk and saluted. Then Loreley spoke, 'Lieutenants Rhinnus and Scarce reporting as ordered, Admiral.'
DT-L30 nodded, he didn't really care for bureaucracy. "My apologize. I can make him have an unfortunate "accident" if you wish it. Merely say the word, and I can finish the job before the pilot gets here." He said in an almost monotone voice, as his scrambler made him sound like any other death trooper.
Zenobia looks thoughtful. "That will not be necessary, but I do admire your initiative." When the pilots arrive she smiles at the newcomers. "Ah, finally, you're all here!" She pulls out a small holo projector and activates it, displaying a young blue Twi'lek woman with a lightsaber." "This is Ry'landra Varren. She's a former Jedi, and veteran of the clone wars. These days, she works as a dancer and possible prostitute at the Searchlight, a cantina in the capital of Arkanis. Quite the fall from grace, if I say so myself". She chuckles. "Your mission is to find her and either apprehend her, or terminate her if an arrest is infeasible." She nods to the pilots. "You two are going along to shoot down her ship if she manages to escape, or intercept any Rebels coming to contact her. It's possible that they know where she is, we weren't able to get confirmation on that, so Rebellion interference is possible".
"Mm. What rank was she? Based on old records, jedi rank themselves as knights, and masters. Which one was she?" DT-L30 asked as tried to look into the twi'lek using his helmet's heads up display to see if there was anything on her.
Loreley looked quite baffled that they would be hunting a Jedi, she hesitated for a second but kept any snarky comments about the Jedi's fate to herself. She nodded, 'Provide combat air patrol and intercept her if she escapes the ground team. Understood, we will not disappoint you, Admiral.'
Zenobia shrugs. "I can't be sure. The Purge left much of the Order's records destroyed. I could get in contact with the Inquisitors, to see if they have anything on her, but that would defeat the whole point of this operation. She was 20 during the Purge, however, so I doubt she was of high rank."
Zenobia smiles. "I understand that the prospect of hunting a Jedi is unnerving, but I assure you that the rewards will be worth the risk".
'It's not that I fear the Jedi herself. We should be plenty safe in our fighters against her,' Loreley said and swallowed, a bit intimidated by the admiral, having never spoken to someone that high up the ranks let alone an Intelligence officer, 'More the fact, that those traitors still exist and the rebel scum might try to recruit them. We won't let that happen, we'll blast any rebels who dare to interfere to slag, Ma'am.'
As she feels someone fucking her, Gailte pretends to be unconscious. Slowly she moves her hand and grabs a rock. When the male climaxes, she smashes the rock against his head.
Zenobia gives her a reassuring grin. "I know that you will. I have complete confidence in you." She faces the whole group. "You'll be taking a Raider Class corvette to Arkanis, which will monitor from orbit,and be accompanied by four death troopers. You are to wear civilian clothes whilst on the planet, and not openly disclose your allegiance to the Empire. That said, if you have to shoot the place up, I don't care, just don't get caught. It doesn't really matter if people know that we were there, as long as they can't prove it. Any questions?"
Before Gailte can smash The Rock against The Tuskens head, Paz steps hard on her Hand with his left foot. "I wouldnt do that..." A Drone floats in some distance, recording the whole scene.
'I assume we should stay in orbit then? Seeing TIEs in the sky would probably clue in most people that it wasn't small-time pirates doing the raid,' Loreley asked the admiral.
"Precisely. You are only to enter the atmosphere if the ground squad is in serious danger and needs heavy fire support".
'Understood loud and clear, Admiral,' Loreley nodded and then let the others ask question if they had any.
DT-L30 remained silent, thinking if the Jedi was a prostitue, Fendrat would probably be the man to seduce her. Still, the thought of fighting a jedi was a little exciting for him. He hasn't had the chance to fully test his new limbs, especially now that Fendrat said he's increased its limits... whatever that meant. "Do we have an estimate time of our arrival? I would like to keep my armor on, even if it means I need to weak a cloak and hood to hide my appearance in broad daylight."
Zenobia thinks for a moment. "I'm no navigational expert, but maybe three hours? We are in the same sector. The corvette has already docked, so you may leave when ready, though I'd advise against keeping a captain waiting for too long. It can be bad for your career." Her expression becomes pensive. "If you wish to continue wearing that armour, I'll allow it, just make sure that no one gets a good look at it".
"Understood, thank you, ma'am." DT-L30 saluted, "If I may, I will take my leave now to prepare. I will meet with everyone at our assigned ship." He asked, and if he was allowed he leaves to head to his quarters to find a something that can work as a cloak, before heading to the hanger where their ship was docked.
