Fendrat wasn't the best shooter, but he managed to shoot target in 7 times on 10 tries so he wasn't that bad. "I realy should made some kind of upgrade to blaster, to let them keeping on the target. Auto-target? What do you think guys? Maybe I will use system from droid." He suggest, as usually about mechanic. His ero-pheromones still working on Meera.
Meera isn't shooting nearly as well as she was before, her breathing is heavy. "What-whatever you think is best".
"Alright. That makes things less annoying. Give me the details and I'll help you bag a man." He was probably taking this a bit too lightheartedly given one her associates just died, but all things considered, he had a much higher level of numbness to these kinds of things.
Fendrat look at her blaster, thinking about option too add. "But for secend thought, if I add too much it could become too heavy, to be used in fight." He steped closer to Meera. "What do you think? "You're better off making a turret!" DT-L30 exclaimed as Fendrst suggested adding an automatic targeting system... for a blaster pistol of all things! "Haa. Maybe you should just modify a droid you can carry arounf, that can transform into a gun turret." He suggested.
The Quarren nods. "Sending you the details now." He disappears, and information is displayed on the communicator. The prisoner is named Baron Meckley, a nobleman from Arkanis accused of high treason. It displays an image of him: He'll be transported through the streets from the spaceport of the capital, to the palace dungeons tomorrow, under heavy guard. The route is outlined in the briefing. The pay is a quarter of a million credits.
She gasps a little when he gets close. It seems she's highly affected by Pheromones. "I-um. I-I guess that-, yeah. Yes. You should always design a weapon with the soldiers in mind. I think that-, um, the weight would make it impractical for a soldier in the field. It's fine for one fire fight, but if you have lug it around everywhere it becomes a problem."
Fendrat think about what Deet suggest. "You know, that isn't bad idea. I could made small droid arm which I will put on my back, with auto target. I would shooting twice more in the same time." He smile and look at Meera blaster. "You are right, I should speak with soldier. What do said for small upgrade and you will tell me if it work for you? I will show you how to take it off, if you want to do it." He reach his hand for her weapon and his hand touch her hand.
She gives a loud squeek when their hands meet. "T-That won't be necessary!" She turns and walks quickly away.
Right now he recognise she was a woman. "Oh. Sorry for... Sorry for that." He wisperd red on face, what was invisible to others. Fendrat realy want to meet right woman like everybody, but with his ero-pheromones it was impossible to say if girl is intrested in him, or in his ero-pheromones. That was anoying.
"Anyway, good luck on your droid arm. Just make sure you remember, on the mission I'll be your "droid" bodyguard, in case someone sees us together. Got it?" DT-L30 asked Fendrat.
"Hmm..." Nobody could her Kay think. While he probably could outrun and outjump most of these people were it just him, having someone tag along and make sure they didn't get shot was a whole layer of problematic for his standard methods. Trying to break him out after he gets sent to the dungeon would be a bad idea. Forcibly boarding his ship before it lands tomorrow might be an option, but then accidentally blowing up the ship with the prisoner still in it would be bad....but there might be a solution for that. If the ship landed, intercepting through an entire armed escort wouldn't be simple....Kay, really, really, didn't like it. Not just because it meant potentially splitting pay, but because he'd be forced to admit his cybernetics alone weren't completely infallible. He'd have to ask for help. Before wrapping up all his business here, he opts to go back to where the destroyed droid was. First, seizing the blaster it held for some easy loot, he then decided to press his luck and see if it would be possible to haul it and it's pieces back to the ship, assuming the guy was still waiting there.
The droid is heavy, but with difficulty Kay is able to bring the pieces back to the ship. The old man's eyes widen when he sees the ruined droid. "Sooo, how did it go?"
" Sure, but I see here one problem. " He turn around to Deet. " If I made you of death trooper parts, I will have to find them somewhere. So the most place are battle field, where I could gareth them. Do you have any ideas where Enginer could in the last few months find a lot of corpes? " He asked and sit down. "By the way... I want to ask you for advise. In private purpuse ."
"See, that's the thing. Some death troopers are used for covert ops, so you can make up some bullshit. And they'd still eat it up but, if you want specific details." DT-L30 shares his last mission, which cost him his limbs, and at least a dozen other death troopers. "Sure, we can talk somewhere private. But I reckon I won't have anything useful to tell you." He shrugged.
"I mean... How to tell that?" Fendrat thinking a while. "I don't know how it begin... Hmmm... You see, It may sounds strange strange or weird but... I have a problems with woman. Look, I realy want to ask one to go out somewhere with her, I'm not different from any other guy. But... I want to make it fair and natural, not because my pheromones. " He must sounds stupid, every men would be jealous for his skills.
"For a mechanical, and technological genius, you're a big idiot. Why don't you just make a device that stops your pheromones from spreading?" He sighed, "Either that, or wear a some clothes thick enough to stop your pheromones from permeating everywhere." DT-L30 shrugged.
Kay was a little surprised to see that he'd seriously stick around, but wasn't going to complain. "Overall? Pretty good. Got myself a sort of decently intact bot that I'm going to see if I can rebuild a new best friend from. If not, it should at least be decently valuable and, know what? You've been a pretty good sport about all this, so I'll even give you like a 30% share. I'll need a ride off of this planet anyway and then after you can pick your crew up, and all that's tied up, I'm off to look for a man." Purposely he neglected to actually say where he was planning to go, since despite as friendly as the old guy was now, that could always change. He did his best to smile and ignore his arms starting to shake from lugging the dam thing around. If the robot could be reprogrammed, then it would be a nice little addition that Kayana wouldn't even need to pay. And also might be able to get him some info on the identity of the dolt who thought a single robot would be a good idea. Even if it only managed picking off a few guards or buying a few seconds before being scraped, the authorities would still be likely to investigate and possibly track the mystery foe themselves, putting pressure on them without even needing to actually do anything. It would be an excellent tool, assuming he could get the dam thing reprogammed first. If it chose to just turn hostile again, that wouldn't do much good.
"I made it once. The effect was huge combinezon, like to walking in the space zone. It was too heavy, to walking too far and helmet complety cover my face. So yes, It is possible." He sigh. "With device it the problem, that resorces to do that right, have a realy hight prize. I would have to rob a bank, to get enough money."
"Fair enough, but how about a force field generator then? Maybe you can make one small enough, that can cover your entire body. That should keep your pheromones from spreading. And once you've seen they like you as you are, you won't need to use it anymore." DT-L30 gave another suggestion.
