(OOC: Time zone differences. Don't you just love them? /sarcasm
I'll edit this post later, but I'll need a little time to re-read everything and come up with what Vi'lea will do.)
As Vi’lea follows the others she gets the feeling that something is off. It takes her a moment to realize what – the sound of footsteps she has been hearing has changed because Riekan and Pepper are no longer with them!
They must have gone to explore the other path. She realizes. That was careless of me. I was so focused on the potential danger ahead that I didn’t even notice when they left. I need to be more alert. Hopefully we won’t need Pepper’s thunder gun. But at least none of the remaining crystals are with them. As the group reaches a large natural chamber she opens her mouth to let the others know that Riekan and Pepper are no longer with them, but does not get the chance. Tila is suddenly yanked up towards the ceiling.
An ambush! Crap! I guess these slimegirls are a bit smarter than we give them credit for.
The dark elf resists the impulse to rush forward and try to help the catgirl. Two more slimegirls emerge from the pond, proving her decision correct. She remains just outside the chamber and observes the battle unfold as she considers her options and how to best help.
One slimegirl heads for Silvan, one assaults Andreas, and the last remains on the ceiling. No sign of any ooze, and no one to attack her for the moment. I hope Andreas can handle the one attacking him. The dark elf kneels down and uses the same spell she had used back at the farm, sending forth two barely noticeable trails of ice. One heads towards the slimegirl attacking Silvan, the other begins climbing the wall towards the one on the ceiling. Sorry, kitty. I hope you like cold.
Realizing that ice, as effective as it may be against their foes, is not always the best solution, Vi’lea gathers the shadows around her and begins to cast a new spell – one that would allow her to bring the slimegirl (hopefully frozen) and the catgirl (hopefully not too frozen) from the ceiling down to the cave floor. She’s interrupted by Andreas’ request for help. What’s with people asking for my help just when I’m busy with something else? She puts her shadow spell on hold and instead conjures up a faintly glowing blue ball. She aims at the slime attacking the human but before she can throw the spell Andreas manages to get the slimegirl off of him. Well, that makes things easier. In her weakened state the spell should freeze her fully without issue. She throws the small ball and it homes right at the deformed slime on the floor.
Vi’lea takes a quick look at the other two slimegirls and the pond as she resumes working on her shadow spell.
(OOC: I assume the "pond group" has all of the remaining unused crystals. It would be a pain to keep one of the slimegirls disabled until someone goes to find Riekan and Pepper, gets a crystal, and comes back.
Also, I think this is my longest post so far (not counting the character sheet) since there were so many things I wanted to address. I hope I didn’t overdo it.)
