The aristocratic voice comes through her radio. "Non-critical damage, ma'am. Making another attack run". She and Gold Three line up to open fire on the corvette yet again. Silvan, and Silver Flight, are busy engaging a squad of X-Wings, keeping them off of Loreley's back. As Silver One and Gold Two and Three head in close to destroy a turret, a wall of incredibly rapid enemy fire comes at them. Loreley manages to take out a turret, but the others have to break off, their shots ineffective. The fire is difficult to dodge, but Loreley manages to maneuver her fighter around it.
The world slows, the green blade approaching at a crawl. Partially by instinct, DT dodges out of the way of the weapon, and his hand reaches out and grasps the hilt. His robotic arm is nearly pulled from the socket, the power of the throw knocking him off balance, but he maintains his hold on it. As he looks back, the Jedi moves as a blur, darting towards DT almost faster than the eye can track. He launches a punch into DT's helmet, and the cyborg can feel the visor crack from the impact. The old man punches DT's chest, and he feels himself flying back as the wind leaves his lungs, before he sprawls on the hangar floor, nearly cutting himself with the saber. DT can see, as he lies on the ground, a huge dent in the chestplate of his armour.
Having destroyed both turrets of the corvette, it should be easier to approach. She made another attack run targeting the sensor dish.
"Ahh... Well, this is a cluster-fuck." Gailte sighted. "The batteries that are not shooting at interdirector - target their anti-fighter and anti-bomber ships. Let's make it a little easier for our pilots..."
As Loreley moves in for an attack run, the main guns of the Lion tear through the corvette's shields, blowing it up an explosion that almost incinerates Loreley. The bombers fly past the wreckage, heading straight for the interceptor. A number of X-Wings come down to destroy them. A massive battle begins, as the cloud of TIEs engages the massive Rebel force. Loreley sees two enemy craft getting onto the tail of a bomber.
Loreley let out a curse at the Lion's barrage, but thankfully her comms were off. 'Delta, this is it. Final approach, keept the bombers safe and make those traitors pay!' She quickly vectored herself to join the fighter fur-ball and to cover the bomber being chased by two rebels, readying missiles against the rebel fighters to disintegrate them quickly. She tried to reach the bomber commander, 'Epsilon, Delta, how far until weapons release?'
As everything began to slow, DT-L30 was surprised he could actually do it. But he had no time celebrate, as the old man immediately delivered some powerful blows. Though DT-L30 had already experience much more painful things, he was still sent flying, but he keeps his grip on the saber, which almost cut him. "Ughk... damnit." He groaned in pain, as he sheathed his vibroknife. DT-L30 slowly got up, removing his busted helmet which obscured his view. "Alright old man," His now free hand reaches for the sonic grenade, "Let's see what you've got." He said as he once again channeled his rage, while also discreetly activating the sonic grenade, intent on throwing it at full force at the last possible second.
The two enemy starfighters, focused on their target, are hit easily, disintegrating. "Beginning attack now". The first of the bombers fly over the rounded gravity well generators. They open fire, their missiles detonating and destroying one. They move away, and another flight of bombers moves in.
The man only notices the grenade at the last second, batting it away. It detonates in the air, and he's left distracted, hands on his ears.
Loreley kept her focus, keeping her head on a swivel and and an eye on the sensors to intercept any rebel fighter daring to disrupt the bombers' attack runs.
As the second generator is destroyed, Loreley hears a scream. Tarrik's fighter is hit, an A-Wing on her tail.
'Silver Two, status! Come around on my vector, I'll blast him out of the vac,' Loreley broke off and intercepted the A-wing, 'Silver Four, Gold Flight, cover the bombers. I've got this one.' She opened the fire immediately to disrupt the A-wing's aim and tried to get a missile lock on the bastard.
She gets on the A-Wing's tail, firing at it, but it's a nimble craft. It dodges her cannons, and moves too quickly to acquire a missile lock. Tarrik moans out. "Sheared straight through my wing, Lore, and something just blew up in my face. I've got some metal stuck in my arm, makes it hard to fly. Request permission to disengage".
'Roger, Silver Two, disengage and return to the capital ships,' Loreley said but kept up her assault on the A-wing, to stop it form persuing Tarrik. She tried to get a feel for the rebel pilot's dodging patterns and tried to predict a shot right into his cockpit.
DT-L30 immediately took his chance, powering himself up with the Force, along with using the full strength of his cybernetic legs. He lunges at the stunned old man with the lightsaber.
She scores a number of shots against his shields. The third generator is destroyed in her periphery. Tarrik manages to disengage.
The man is barely able to get out of the way, the lightsaber scorching the side of his armour. The Jedi grabs DT's arms. "A lightsaber suits you, kid. You might make a good Jedi."
Loreley made one last attempt to down the A-wing, they were slippery buggers. With his shields damaged, one good hit should be enough to destroy or cripple him.
An explosion rings out from the Purge. An officer shouts "Gravity field is dropping! Hyperdrive back online!" Valeria calmly asks Gailte "shall I order the fighters to return, and have us leave?"
