Hey there! So, after some time, I decided to try my strength as GM... once again. The idea is for the players to take roles of bounty hunters, hunting and bringing in sexy women with bounties on their heads in exchange for a reward. Who they hunt will be up to them - there will be a bounty board, they can choose their targets from. How they hunt, will it be with violence, deception or seduction will be also up to them. If they want to team up or hunt solo, will also be up to them. The money (in-game, to be clear) will have an impact on the game. It will bo more a series of stories connected to bounty, rather than one main plot. The setting... I haven't decided yet so I set up voting to check the preferred setting... Modern, Fantasy, Si-Fi are the options. Is anyone interested? Does anyone have suggestions? The Game The Characters
I'm in, for fantasy settings. It will be more intresting when woman to capture having some special skills, like vampire, succubs, elf, spider-lady, some demon... Simply hunting for common human sounds boring. But of course after we finish our star Wars game.
Sounds interesting, but I'm not sure if I should join yet. My character would inevitably get too attached to one of the bounty targets and refuse to turn them in.
I'm all for it I think. I suggest sci fi or fantasy....since modern setting would be just....I don't think think it's too exciting when it's all the same thing. Do you have a specific country or setting in mind already?
I was thinking of players starting with beginner-novice characters, before going for Demon Queen, head of demon army And humans are fun - especially the ones with an interesting background. But I get your point, there will be just more variety that way... I do intend on actually making a bounty hunter's board with posters, for players to choose from... once the setting is set. Lol, that might be a trouble. Your character would go bankrupt pretty quickly I was kinda inspired by our game with TJF - it made me remember the old 'Renegade' series. I saw only few episodes, but they this make five seasons, so they HAD, to have some ideas... I hope? I will see tomorrow morning for the setting - but it looks like it will be fantasy... hm... why has no one made yet something with cyberpunk setting (ghost in the shell) or steampunk setting RPG yet? ... ... What do you all think of cyberpunk or steampunk settings?
Never been too crazy about either of those things really, but I do love cyberpunk neon lights and emoish clothing. I'm just not crazy about how it's almost always "future dystopia where the government is like EVIL. That's a new thing, right?"
I played in deus ex human revolution and dishonored, cyberpunk and steampunk. Good games, intresting background but not my kind of thing. I just feeling more comfortable in fantasy, with rules and basic well know too me, with that settings I have no problem with understand ewen ewen different codex. And I don't like too much shoots in the game, in fantasy characters are more often fight face to face, not pistol from cover.
Well... as much as I like the idea of cyberpunk RPG, I guess I will go with Fantasy - it's just that much simpler.
I really like cyber-, diesel- and atompunk, not really into steampunk, though. What kind of fantasy setting would it be then?
What kind you ask - more of a generic kind. With fantastic creatures, barbarians, elves, etc. I guess I will be building it as I will be going.
What kind of ruleset will be used? With outcomes determined by stats and dice, or focused on roleplay over rolling dice?
I wouldn't like stats and dice in game, there made only too much complicated and are more unclear for most players. Roleplay, with class sistem should be okey.
I see no problem to start with foreign lands, so yes. But all of the characters will belong to one guild, in the country's capital that will serve as their base. No, there will be no dice - the outcome will be decided by GM. I'm thinking of using the system similar to that of TJF's - it's a really good system.
I actually like stats as an indicator of who is good at what and having proper skills. Dice always felt too luck based to me though and I prefer plays based through intrigue, myself.
I like it too, but not in the game by internet. When I play with friends in real life, sure not problem but with writing here... It simply didn't work for me.
Yeah. Most of my grand battle plans don’t work because I can never quite get to them and put it all in motion I might try more straightforward based game plans though it goes against my instincts a little.
So far I'm interested. I even have an idea for a character, though I will finish it after we know a bit more about what sort of starting skills and equipment we can have.
I also got a few different ideas of characters worked out, but I need to see more of what we got to work with. I assume mostly any fantasy races should be good? I think people realize that I have a tendency for...let's just call it....unique characters.
