A large Naga (at least you think it's Naga, could be Lamia, or some subspecies, for all you know) nods in your direction. "Welcome hunters. I am the Guild-Mistress, leader of Kingdom's Lekora's Bounty Hunter's Guild. My name is Szassaraasssasssak'arsssaaansssnaa'asssannrraaa. But you can call me Guild-Mistress Sa, or Mistress Sa. I am the leader of Bounty Hunter's Guild, and a former bounty hunter myself. As you are new here, allow me to explain some things about guild rules and how it operates. First, there on the wall you have a bounty board with bounties posted. Until the bounty was captured, anyone can hunt it. That means multiple hunters can take on a single target - and they will either band together or fight among themselves for the bounty. As long as the bounty is delivered to the client, I don't care which you will choose. To get more information about bounties, talk to the receptionist, Zilfar Tundeh. When you return for a reward, also talk to her - all transactions go through her. This is to ensure that no one tries to cheat on us... The gold you receive, you can do whatever you like with it - spend on whores, give to the bank or donate to charity. I would suggest spending it on better equipment, keeping some for information brokers and spending on special traps. Now, the most important thing - the guild's reputation. Once you take on the assignment, you will not stop, until you fulfil it. If you can't, return to gather support. If you resign from the mission, you will have to pay a penalty... and face my disappointment." Mistress Sa cracked her knuckles, the scary sound resonating around the hall. "You will not cheat on the client, you will not help the bounty to escape - unless that is in the contract. The contract is most important to us - within its limits, do whatever you want. I have worked long and hard to establish the guild's reputation. Don't you dare to tarnish guild's reputation. If you break the contract without good reason and only because you got seduced by the bounty, I will put a bounty on you and then break you myself." With that Mistress Sa's tail coiled around a thick steel column and squeezed it. A moment later the column looked like an abstract art's sculpture. "Understand?! Good." She turned to the attendant. "Zilfar! Order a new steel column." "Yes, Guild-Mistress." The dark Elf attendant answered tiredly. Guild-Mistress Sa nodded and went to the platform at the centre of the hall, that gave her a good view over everything and started reading some documents. The attendant Zilfar Tundeh returned behind her desk, leaving you to your own devices.
“Alright, let's see what jobs are currently available...” Celine said to herself as she made her way to the board and started reading the offered bounties. The elf read each one twice before choosing one that seemed relatively easy for a single person and at the same time offered decent pay. She made sure to memorize as much as she could of the other bounties, just in case. Then she made her way to the attendant's desk. “Excuse me,” Celine began once she reached the desk “I'd like to ask about the job involving the housewife, Natalie Rubio. What can you tell me about it? Also, what should I call you – since we will likely be seeing each a lot? Is calling you 'Zilfar' fine, or do you prefer to be addressed in some other manner?” She asked as she examined the skimpily dressed dark elf. Her own clothes were a lot less revealing: Simple brown pants and a matching brown blouse that revealed a bit of her cleavage. While decent her clothes were nothing special, plus they were a few years and as she had grown they had become rather tight – almost uncomfortably so. Though the way they hugged her body and emphasized her curves could be useful on occasion.
The elf smiled. "Welcome Trash!" She stated cheerfully. "Zilfar's fine!" She nodded. Mistress Sa looked from her platform. "Zilfar had... a particular teacher of common speech, so worry not about her language. What she says is not intentionally insulting most of the time... I think." She shook her head. "Anyway, I am too tired of trying to make her change her ways, so I gave up." She returned to her papers. "Natalie Rubio... hmm." Zilfar started looking through the documents. "Well, she is nothing much - just a simple woman and a housewife. We don't have any pieces of information on her." She smiled and tapped the counter. "Officially." She tapped the counter one more time.
Rogriss heads over to the dark elf, giving her a friendly smile. "Hey, could I take the bounty for Sieglinde, the teacher? Thanks". He brushes off his nobleman's outfit, trying to clear the dirt from it.
The dark elf smiles at the man. "Yup featherweight, no one turned in for the reward for her, so you can go for her." the woman nodded. "The customers want her delivered to the warehouse near the port in the evening hours. Here's the address." The woman gave the young orc the address. "Will that be all, limp-dick?" She asked, with a pleasant voice and face showing pure innocence. She was a picture of pure, eager to help attendant.
Is she serious, he wonders, calling us names as a speech quirk, or is she just making fun of us? Either way, it's a cute habit. The orc smiles brilliantly at her. "Thanks, darling. That will be all. Well, all for now." He grins at her suggestively, and reluctantly walks away from her, formulating a plan to deal with the teacher. First off, he needs clean clothes for his deception to work. He heads to a laundress, to clean his outfit.
“Pardon me. Is dealing with Camila Gayso, still available?” Catherine approached, not trying to make a comment about the dark elves speech, mostly, just focused on her own thoughts anyway. She had to wonder what most of these people did wrong, if actually anything. Still a pirate didn’t say no to the prospect of reward. Plenty of these bounties had fairly lucrative amounts, but she fought for her better judgment to focus on what she could reasonably take care of on her own.
Rogriss found a laundress without problem, the grumpy woman agreed to clean his clothes, so they would be ready by the evening, for 2 gold coins. He could see that she was trying to rip him off.
"Yes, Mrs. Saggy-tits, the adventurer Camila Gayso was not yet captured." The dark elf answered seriously. "The group wants her delivered to the adventure's guild, where she will be officially stripped of her adventurer's licence. After that, you are to take her to townguard's headquarters. After that, return for your reward and a celebratory mug of jizz."
Rogriss turns on the charm, complimenting the woman and asking if there's any way that she might lower the price from two coins to one. "After all", he says, "I plan to spend quite a bit of time in this city. If I knew a beautiful laundress who was willing to give me a good deal, we'd both profit. That laundress would get my repeat business, making her a lot more money in the long run, and I'd profit by getting to see those stunning green eyes of yours some more". He smiles at her, appealing to both her vanity and her greed, knowing from experience that working women like her receive far too little praise from their husbands, and are therefore highly receptive to compliments.
Celine raised an eyebrow at the dark elf's unusual greeting, but Mistress Sa clarified things before the young elf could say anything. “I see...” Two other bounty hunters approached the desk and the elf moved out of the way to let them ask their questions. While she waited for them to finish she used the time to consider her options – and to ogle the hot dark elf (mostly the latter). Once Zilfar was free Celine moved closer again. “So, there's nothing you can tell me about Natalie... officially...” She tapped the counter once with a gold coin before pulling her hand and the coin away – she wasn't about to spend one of her last few coins only to get told that they really don't know anything about the housewife. “And unofficially? Is there anything you useful you can tell me about her, Zilfar?” She leaned closer to the dark-skinned woman and gave her a friendly smile.
"Sagg-" "'OW BOUT 'YE, KISS ME ASS!" ....Is what she wanted to say. She had to shut her other eye for a second. Taking a deep breath from the chest, she exhaled. This was likely part of the function with newer members, after all. Hazing was part of the initiation rites. Besides, she didn't exactly have the resources anymore to go and strike things out on her own, without a ship or a crew. She would need to get back to rebuilding one eventually, then she wouldn't need to scrounge for scrapes and could fund herself an alchemist lab where she could finally work to her ultimate goal. Until then, she had to put up with it. Well, you're not wrong. The mission is understood." Collecting herself and refraining to slipping into her seadog tongue, she tried to remain poised as she considered things. This shouldn't be all too difficult, but advantages never hurt. "Does the guild bear any facilities for it's members make us of? Poisons? Alchemical compounds? Maps?"
The woman thinks for a moment, then grumbling, but much less so, nods her head. "Very well, one gold coin. But no less. Now give that clothes of yours." She leered at him. "Pretty words are just that, pretty. You better follow through with them." She grumbled as she took Rogriss's clothes. Soon after the half-orc left the building in completely clean set of clothes - the woman also must have added some oils, cause the clothes smelled really nice.
The attendant nodded seriously as she snatched the coin then smiled. "You will go far, flat-board." She then leaned forward and started speaking quietly to the bounty hunter. "Natalie Rubio is a pretty nice woman and a simple housewife. A sensible one and keeping her husband straight. The thing is her husband is not paying to find the proof of her adultery, because you will simply not find one. He pays to deliver the evidence. With that in hand, he could divorce her, and as a guilty party, not only to take control of her part of the family's money, but also force her to pay a set amount of money as recompense. That way he would be again free man, to party, drink and sleep with any woman he wants to." The dark elf finished then smiled. "It's all I know, skinny. Good luck, and have a good blowjob!"
The dark elf receptionist looked at her confused. "Of course I am not wrong, if someone turned in a reward for her I would know." She stated. Hearing the other question, she shook her head. "We don't supply any materials. This is a place where hunters gather and take on their assignments, as well as come for rewards. You can socialize here with other hunters, try to organize a team here if you find interested hunters. Here you can discuss the situation that will influence our business and general situation. If you have problems with the client, this is also a place to come..." She paused abruptly. "For alchemy, I would try alchemy guild, shops or adventurer's guild."
"Pretty. Just like you". He smiles at her again. He takes the opportunity to shave, applying some blush to his cheeks like aristocrats are wont to do. Rogriss begins walking with a cane, and holds himself up with a swagger that suggests he's a nobleman, heading down to the academy. He waits there until he sees his target, approaching her with a noble's confidence. "You there! I say! Might you be Sieglinde Drachman?" His expression is haughty and pompous, though not directly condescending towards her.
Too broke too afford anything yourselves? It seemed standard most places would provide basic equipment for their members in some way or another. It was all good to know later, but given the cost of any materials, it wasn't likely that anything would be affordable with such a meager amount. If she had just stayed back home on the family manor or had her flagship, even the idea of 100 gold would be so trivial that it wouldn't have mattered. Now, she had a tight budget that her survival was dependent on. She'd just have to take the risk. "Very well. If there's no more business, I shall be taking my leave then."
The woman's cheeks actually reddened a little, but she quickly covered it. It was many hours later, the sky going red when Rogriss finally spotted his target leaving the academy. As he called up to her, the woman scolded and turned to him with an unhappy expression. "Yes, how may I help you." She asked politely, but visibly unhappy.
He continues, not mentioning or seemingly even noticing her unhappiness. "I've been led to believe, that unlike most of the staff employed in this... Place", he spits the word out with distaste, "that you are actually a competent and intelligent educator, who understands that for her pupils to learn, they must first obey their teacher in all things. Would this be an accurate reflection of your skills and ideology?"
"Basically, if you can't support yourself, then you have no place in the bounty hunting business. We are not adventurers, hunting monsters. Our pray, while not as dangerous as dragons, are usually very intelligent - and that makes them more dangerous then beasts, that are predictable." The woman said seriously. Hearing Catherine's words, Zilfar nodded and smiled. "Very well! I wish you a good ass-fucking!"
