Tarkin sits alone on his throne. "Ah, Commodore". His expression is polite, though reserved like normal. "I hear that congratulations are in order."
Zan’s skills definitely weren’t exaggerated. He was a truly fearsome opponent and against any single person, the amount of people short of cyborgs or jedi that had any realistic chance of killing him by themselves, could probably he counted on one hand. But even combat skills or intelligence only got someone so far. Maybe she was outclassed in a fight against him. Maybe he was smarter than her. Yet, he was still the one needing to fight off two different people he had underestimated and dismissed too easily. And now there was a third as Dannan coiled her body to make a sudden move. He had been so focused on her blasters, he had neglected to think of any other weapons she might have had. In this case, her trophy. The vibro knife she had taken from a gang leader after making the same stupid mistake that Zan had. Had she taken the gang seriously instead of assuming just because they didn’t have the advantage meant they wouldn’t or couldn’t do anything back, a lot of how any of this started could be avoided. She had held onto the knife as proof of that. As smart as they both were, they only got into the problems they did because they never stopped to consider that more than the logical course of action, that people would act on how they felt, even if it was a bad idea. So as she got her knife ready for action, she agreed with the conclusion of her analysis. If she didn’t give any real consideration to the people around her, this was going to be her in ten years. Paranoid, untrusting, and without a single person left to turn to, when it all comes crashing down. With a fast stabbing motion upwards, she took aim straight at his heart. Maybe he could evade it. Easily. Except he was focused with his attention on three people and stuck dual wielding his weapons, having no hands free to intercept what he could effortlessly counter otherwise, if he just hadn’t brought so many enemies upon himself.
@Regin34 DT-L30 nods, "Alright, guess I'll head over to the admiral first. Meanwhile, Fendrst you go buy jewelry you think she'll like." He said before running back to the barracks to change into his death trooper armor.
Danann attacks with the blade, her medical knowledge and augmentation making it easy for her to bring the knife under Zann's ribcage, and into his heart. The blade strikes true, and a gasp comes from the crime lord's mouth. With one last burst of strength, he moves his hands towards Danann's neck, but is shot by Cyrus and Mari. Remaining upright for longer than the doctor would have thought possible, he finally collapses, falling down against the chair he was just sitting in. He looks up at Danann, and she can see for the briefest moment, an expression first of amusement, and then of respect. He coughs up blood, and slumps over. Upon checking, Danann confirms that he's dead. Mari's gun drops from her hand, as she casually walks back into the bedroom, dressing. Cyrus cries out in pain, writhing on the ground.
DT has no trouble getting back to the armoury, where he finds his locker, with armour inside it like normal.
Her fear rose when he had started to get his grip on her neck, wincing for a moment as she expected to just hear a crack and then nothing ever again. When her eyes opened he was on the ground. The first thing that Dannan did was collect her blasters...then put about two more shorts into Zann’s corpse just for good measure. The excitement of all of it was dying down, and with everyone’s adrenaline wearing down, she had to immediately go to Cyrus ready to patch him up again. “Mari?” Dannan wasn’t sure of what to say. She was focused on getting her tools out to work on the new consortium boss, but she had just shot her former lover. Mari was tough. Not the kind of girl who really planned on talking about things, but as they were, it felt awkwardly tense, unsure of where exactly they stood with each other right now.
"At ease". He gestures for her to come close. "I trust you're well? I'm afraid that his majesty decided to throw you in quite the lion's den."
Thanks to her speed, Danann was able to kill Zann before he was able to hurt Cyrus even more, but even though his wound was non lethal, he's still quite hurt. Mari walks out, this time fully dressed, and she sits on the couch, trying not to look at the corpse. "So, what now?" They all hear blaster shots outside. The door opens, and the bounty hunter steps in. "Some of his men were on their way here. They aren't anymore". He holsters his blasters.
"I survived. All the mission parameters were achieved. And I have to thank you for softening Emperor's stance." Gailte said as she walked up to Tarkin, her bust almost touching his face.
"Think nothing of it, my dear. You know that you shall always have my support". His roving hands casually caress her chest. "Speaking of support, tell me of this clique you are assembling". He looks in her eyes. "I do hope that it wasn't formed with intentions of making a move against me".
“First, we get these wounds taken care of for both of you. Is there a medical station in the compound? Then we notify people about the new boss. Then we can redecorate.” Dannan had almost countless opportunities to turn her back on Cyrus. And she never did. Even if they hadn’t said it, how they felt was something they both already knew. It had to make Dannan a little concerned about Mari, but she also kind of had to fight her urge to just grab hold of her too, thinking it would be a little inappropriate to do right now. “I was serious, you know. I do want to just take take you...but only if you want that too.”
Mari nods. "My resistance cell is lost. I have nothing left. I'm with you if you'll have me." She and the hunter help take Cyrus to the medical centre. There is some confusion over the corpses outside the door, but as Zann kept his rendezvous with Mari a secret, no one knows that he's dead yet. At the medical centre, Danann sees medical droids, rather than living doctors, but sees that they are actually very well stocked on medical supplies. Apparently the threat of retaliation from the Consortium has kept thieves away. As they lay Cyrus down, he looks deep in her eyes. "Danann... I... L-" he's cut off by a coughing fit.
'Mmmh~,' Loreley moaned in Tarrik's mouth, loving her lips on her own and her fingers playing with her nipples. She broke the embrace, 'Let's not get too carried away while everyone is still on board.'
She squeezed his hand tightly, putting her palm over his. She already took a guess at what he was about to say. They were both bad with feelings, but the look she gave, said enough. “We can save the honeymoon for when we get you fixed up. Again. Hopefully, that’s the last of anyone get shot for a while. She observed the droids for a moment as they readied him for proper treatment rather than the speed rush job, she did. She was competent, but having the proper tools available made all the difference. He’d probably be fine without full treatment over time, but she didn’t want to take the risk. They didn’t make this gamble for him to just get killed. She waited with him silently, holding his hand until the droid ushered her out. Arguing she was still a doctor, didn’t have much impact on it’s programming, so she reluctantly squeezed his hand before leaving the room to find Mari sitting outside. Maybe it was a bit much, but Dannan pulled her into a hug. She didn’t say anything. She didn’t touch anywhere inappropriately. She just let the Twilek’s head rest on her shoulder, as they waited.
He takes a quick shower, before putting on his armor. Then he decides to report to the grand Admiral first, Fendrat's probably struggling to find jewelry, so Tika can probably wait.
Loreley waved goodbye to Fendrat and DT, thanking them for their help. She stood up and went to look for Teal bringing Tarrik with her. Finding him in the cockpit, she wrapped her arms around him from behind and kissed his cheek, 'Hey, congrats on your first successful job in this thing.' She giggled.
