Hearing her voice, the pirates turn. The Imperials open fire, gunning down most, four surviving pirates running for cover. One manages to throw a thermal detonator onto Loreley's skiff. She has the reflexes to get away in time, but four of the Imperials aren't so lucky, going up in the explosion. The officer from before is hit in the neck, falling off of his skiff. Nazala manages to shoot one of the pirates. The three remaining pirates remain behind cover, unleashing highly accurate fire at Loreley's group. They're clearly well trained, far better so than most pirates.
Loreley cursed and threw the explosive Nazaka had given her to the pirates, detonating it just off the ground. She rushed to the officer, to see if he was alive and dragged him to cover if he was.
"The mission should last for a month. You'll not be able to spend every waking moment with her, of course, she does have a job to do, but you will spend a fair amount of time with her. We've ensured that the diplomats accompanying her are people she personally dislikes, so if you do your job properly, she will spend most of her free time with you".
The pirates go flying, the shockwave of the explosion carrying them off into the distance. The officer tries to speak, but chokes, before his head lolls to the side, eyes lifeless.
Loreley closed his eyes and then checked if the pirates were all dead. She returned to the others, 'Are you okay? It got pretty messy back there.'
The choice wasn’t half bad. Not overtly slutty or showing too much off, but keeping her form nicely fitting. “Not bad at all.” Taking the dress, she went to the changing room having the Twilek follow along behind her. Not with the same intensity as before. They wouldn’t want to make a repeat of the earlier situation. Plus, getting these dresses ruined when they just got them. Getting changed in front of Mari and having her help adjust at the back, Dannan was impressed at what she saw in the mirror. “I like it.”
The stormtrooper nods. "Yeah, we're fine. I've never seen pirates that shoot like that. We should get outta here soon. There are more than that. The whole area has been swarming with them for the past few days, taking everything that isn't nailed down. Actually, they're taking that, too". He looks at the Captain's corpse as he helps Dee and Nazala onto the skiff. "What a shame. That was a damn fine officer. Smart, and he never put us at unnecessary risk. He'll be missed". He looks at Nazala. "You take a downed Reb's jumpsuit? Why, to make the distraction more plausible?" Nazala nods, looking at Loreley. "Yeah, something like that."
@Tjf "Nice droid you got there." DT-L30 chuckled as Fendrat arrived, "Yeah I think everything is ready. Now we'll either head out, or get debriefed once more."
“I’m tempted to see how long we could go at it before getting thrown out again, but we really are just going to do that hone anyway.” Dannan pulled Mari in for a quick kiss on the lips, exiting the changing room and heading to the attendant where she bought the dress and looked over to Mari. “So, that should be about everything we need, shouldn't? Feel like heading back yet or did you have something in mind?”
'Do you have some working comms equiptment in that Gladiator wreckage? We need some way to let people know that we are here,' Loreley said, 'I'm sorry about your Captain, I didn't think the pirates were so well trained.' 'We had to improvise, attacking head on would've been our death and you'd be on a slave market soon,' Loreley nodded, covering for Nazaka, who she had grown to like quite a bit in the last month.
@Regin34 "All right. It's time." The Fifth Brother and the purge troopers board the ship. The droid and the Zeltron get weird looks, but no one says anything, waiting for them to get aboard.
Fendrat chuckled too. "My personal bodyguard from Cara. Let's go on ship." He said fixing his Backpack.
"No, I'm ready to head back. I'm guessing that we probably aren't taking him along". She gestures to the attendant.
"There was some, but there are dozens of pirates there. We'd never make it. And it's not your fault. I'm not blaming you for his death." Nazala smiles at Loreley gratefully.
'Shit, we'd better hide these skiffs and lay low, then while we figure out a way to get out of this mess,' Loreley said, gathering all the weapons and equipment they could find from the dead pirates. Packing the skiffs with whatever supplies they had, she flew with them to another part of the jungle, hiding them below the thick canopy. 'We have a place to hide near a fresh-water river, we should walk the rest of the way,' Loreley said and grabbed whatever she could carry. They returned to their cave, putting down the new supplies and weapons. She looked at the group of new survivors, 'Well, make yourselves at home, everyone. We'll probably be here for a while. Have some weird-pig-pork if you're hungry.' She pointed to the spit in the cave. Then turned to Nazaka, 'Can I talk to you... in private?' She led Nazaka out of the cave towards the river, at a secluded spot. She sighed, crossing her arms under her bust, 'Sorry you have to pretend to be one of us. I hope that won't bite us in the arse in the future.'
