She could be captured after her escape, during the daytime when she's weak, and forced into slavery that way.
Since you're playing a paladin may I suggest knowledge of your religion (however ill-defined it might be)? As you're playing a cross between a fighter and a cleric, it would probably be best if you could understand and communicate your beliefs effectively.
Ah, I might need that. I was thinking she might have some kind of knowledge of this world’s dark gods since those would be what she is most likely raised to worship as a dark paladin, and probably about cults and hierarchy, rituals and all that other stuff. A paladin does need some magic, but not a lot. So I might reduce that so she at least knows one thing outside of combat. Edit: Opted to lower sword instead because a paladin would just use buffs and heals and the occasional smite, so a one star sword is probably fine since magic can compensate that way.
Would it be too late to change characters? Since I’m using old rp characters for the bounty hunter thing, there is a character I think I’d like much better than the drow.
Since we haven't really gotten into a whole lot of character interactions yet. That's probably fine. If it's a character that would do similar/same actions as the character that you already had, we can just sort of continue on as if you have had always been playing that character.
I may change her to a proper high elf from a legitimate order, or if not, I'm thinking either a wolf girl Can't find a good visual or the one I used before though.) or a spirit sealed in some kind of object, but is of the variety of spirit where she has a physical form and can interact with her enviroment. She doesn't have intangbility, but might use a low form of illusion kind of magic. I really feel like a wolf girl again. Not a werewolf...but like if instead of how there’s cat people, they’re canines. But finding images from however long ago is hard and there’s not many for wolf types that I really like.
Name: Keri Age: 22 Race: Wolfkin Gender: Female Spoiler: Appearance Small framed, white hair, along with her ears and tails. Typically messy and long, it makes a difference if someone can get her to hold still long enough to be properly cleaned up. Background: Beast people are generally feared by most humans and with good reason. However, after a certain point the once bullied race of humans crossed a certain threshold of creating and designing weapons way worse than just claws or fangs. It left the tribes forced to either adapt to the changes by settling down and trying to build a proper functioning society of their own or die out. Keri may be young, but she's as stubborn as about any tribe elders were. Not willing to do things like learn table manners or start reading books, she did what most self respecting wolfkin did, and chose the hard way. It didn't stop her from making use of human tools, every now and then. They were still convenient and useful, and most beast people would acknowledge some luxuries did make things more convenient, but refuse to truly accept human culture. Even if they try, it's much like explaining the color blue to a blind person. Keri was born to do things the wolf way, think in the wolf way, and she does things in the wolf way. The problem is, the tribes are pretty much the only group left that still does. The quick reaction to violence against anyone who wasn't one of their own didn't score them many points with humans either, though this did win them a few friends along with other impulsive groups like the orcs and ogres who shared the same response to just break anything they couldn't understand. This generally worked fine for them, being naturally strong and their instincts leading them away from any basic hunting traps. In single combat, almost no ordinary human would stand a chance against one...however, like most warrior races, they never got over their biggest weakness. While wolfkin could smell all sorts of things regular people couldn't and find clues just about anywhere, they were almost blind in things they couldn't see. A general trait among their kind was their assumption was always that nobody would ever have any reason to lie. While strong, their nature as being horrible judges of character usually found themselves getting into trouble. Since most prefer to be isolated from main society, they're never around it enough to know better and while not being truly accepting of anyone who isn't another member of the tribe, they were still willing to trust anybody, including strangers they just met. The humans who realize this, don't have any problems using it against them either. A ambitious trader who found Keri trying to get into his food had convinced her that she'd never need to steal for food again if she just drank this potion that happened to cure the need for hunger....after waking up on a cold floor and muzzled, chained against the wall, Keri was fairly sure that wasn't supposed to happen. After the guy had apparently given her to these people in way too shiny armor, she was getting almost positive that the potion wasn't supposed to do that. She doesn't know what her plan is or think that far ahead, but she knows that she has no plans for it to be with these guys. Skills: Speed** Strength* Hand to Hand* Senses* Equipment: Claws Lightweight water jug Small dagger used to debone meat Red Cloak to hide her ears and tail(Took it from some dumb kid.) Gold: None.
Seems good. "Senses" as a skill seems a little bit too vague, but we'll see how it works. For simplicity, we'll just plop her in right where we left off with your elf. However, from now on, any player who wants to change characters will have to find an appropriate reason to end the one they're currently playing... For better, or worse... before making a new character
Would something like perception be better then? I mean, I can wait for a better opportunity before joining.
I'm not sure. It largely equates to the same thing. I'm fine with giving it a try, but I just don't know how I feel about a single skill which is generally just "All of my senses are just better." Obviously I'm just winging things as we go...I'm not an expert in this made up system. Like I mentioned, you haven't really interacted with anyone in a super meaningful manner yet. So unless you really want to be introduced in some other way, I'm fine if you want to just swap in as if you were always Keri.
I can pick something else then if that's going to be a problem. I just imagine wolfs are naturally inclined to be more sensitive to smells and sounds. Maybe something like tracking then would be better? I think I'll wait until there's a proper chance for her to come into the story, if that's alright.
So I thought on it. I think mind control/aphrodisiac stuff is actually a no for me. Drugs are fine. Permanent brainwashed sex slave stuff, I'd rather avoid for me, personally. I don't care what other people do that much. It's just kind of creepy to me. If my character ends up leashed and collared for other reasons though, so be it. Just like...love slave mind control stuff really puts me off is all.
