Loreley had a look around outside the ship, before going inside and sitting down at the controls. She spent the next hour and a half familiarising herself with the systems and weapons of the craft.
The ship is one of the most advanced she has flown. It's heavily armed, shielded, and has semi cloaking technology.
Loreley wondered where they got this kind of hardware and called Ms Sarafiel from the commstation of the ship, 'I'm ready to go when you and your people are.'
“They shouldn’t be expecting a move so soon, so as long as we keep the surprise on our aide, it should be simple...on the off chance it isn’t, I’m going to organize a few reinforcements from other stations to cover an escape if it comes to that. We can’t win a full frontal assault. Drop the bomb and get out.”
'Understood, that should not be a problem with the stealth capabilities of this ship,' Loreley said, 'Send the mission details to the navcomputer and your friends onboard, and we are off to hit Black Sun where it hurts.'
Dannan does that, giving a nod. She wasn’t going to be of any help on board those ships, but she could at least assist in coordinating. While she could formulate plans, her ability to carry them out herself was limited. Having done about everything she could, what happened was more or less out of her hand other than a few failsafe options. From here, it would all fall onto the imperial pilot. “Go kick ass.”
A Cathar woman and two Trandoshans enter the ship. The cathar faces her. "I'm Sara. Now, the stealth drive should get us there undetected, but once we launch our weapons, the discharge will light us up on their scanners. All their weapons will be gunning for us. It'll take some fancy flying to get us out of their way." The computer lights up with coordinates to a planet in the outer rim called Vjun.
'We will, see you when we get back, Ms Sarafiel,' Loreley answered the older woman. Loreley rose from the pilot's seat to great the others. The brunette nodded to the Cathar woman, 'I'm Jane... sorry I don't want my real name to find its way back to Imperial command. I don't think they'd like their pilots flying for the Consortium. You don't see many Cathar around, pleased to meet you, Sara. You can be sure that I'll do my damndest to get us all out of there in one piece.' She turned to the Trandoshans, 'Hello there, and who would you two big fellows be?'
'Welcome aboard, Ikki and Tekki. Grab a seat and we are off,' Loreley said, she took off her leather jacket, leaving her in a tight tank top, which didn't leave much to the imagination, and draping her jacket over the pilot's seat. She got behind the controls and started up the ship. Gently taking the ship out of the hangar, she took the craft up to orbit. The brunette pilot looked to Sara sitting at the nav station, 'If you would start the calculations for the coordinates Ms Sarafiel sent us, I'd be grateful.'
Sara nods, punching in the co-ordinates. Soon, the computer finishes its calculations. She takes a few peeks out of curiosity, but doesn't stare at Loreley's breasts.
Sara could see that the brunette apparently didn't bother with a bra that day, her evidently pierced nipples tenting the tanktop. Loreley nodded to her, 'Thank you, let's go.' She started the hyperdrive engine, the ship spooled up and a moment later entered hyperspace towards Vjun. She checked her read-out, how long the journey to the outer rim would take.
“There’s little I can do on the ship....it’s more practical to stay behind.” Dannan made her assessment before shaking her head. This was possibly the last chance to ever go on a ship. She’d be able to patch up injured at least, but really. She kind of just didn’t want to miss the moment of seeing everything in action. She didn’t get much of that anymore even it was because mostly everything was stable. “Know what? Fuck it. I may as well go too.”
"Be careful. If you get yourself killed before the wedding, I'll be pissed. I love you." The ship's ramp remains open for the moment.
Loreley put her feet up on the dash and leaned back in the pilot's seat, 'Six hours... you guys feel free to take a nap or something. There's not much to do really.' The pilot turned to Ms Sarafiel, 'To be honest, I didn't expect you to come along. It's not that usual for higher ups to... take dangerous missions.'
“I guess...I just miss getting shot at that much. This is how I started things, there’s a certain nostalgia to it..turns out, I don’t miss it, but it is superior between just waiting and seeing.” Dannan didn’t know why she had to smile. This was a massive risk, but everyone else was taking the same one. She took a glance at the old crew. “We have tons of catching up to do. But we can save it for later.”
'If you'd like to catch up with your old crew, now's the best time, Ms Sarafiel,' Loreley said, stretching her arms over her head, 'In six hours, we might all die in a big fireball. I'll do my damndest but I really have little idea what kind of defences or fighter opposition we'll face.'
“A bit different from Imperial missions, isn’t? Insane risks is basically all we do. At least of I’m here, I can deal with any injuries if it comes to that.” Dannan should have been more worried, but she had still survived worse than this in the past. She glanced over the cathar, and noticed the look that “Jane” was giving Sara. “I’ll let you two get more familiar with each other first. Stupid and insane risks is basically all we do. This isn’t that different.” Making her way over to the reptile twins, she began launching into all sorts of questions and doing a thing that would throw off everyone. Actually looking like she was enjoying herself for once.
