“Idolized Zann...alright.” She was skeptical that anybody would, but accepted that as fact whole deliberating in her head. “Obviously, we need the factory if we’re going to secure our position...we’ll have to find a way to win him over. If we need to kill him...well, we’ve won plenty of battles we shouldn’t have before....we might be able to destroy supply transports to delay production. At least prevent any more from being made before we have it....we should also get in contact with the Admiral. They’ll be looking to the imperials to protect them, so weakening their relations and strengthening ours might get them to withdraw support and force the empire to come down harder on them....they’ll try to ally with others too and keep themselves a float, but they’ve been known as untouchable for so long, showing signs of weakness will get plenty of people to jump on pushing them out of their own territory....get Telayran. She’s not as powerful as us on paper, but she’ll be useful, I’m sure. As in, bend over backwards for that woman. We do not need her as an enemy. We know from doing it that a small gang can take on a bigger one and come out winning...let’s not be on the receiving end of that.”
Cyrus goes to reply, when there's a knock on the door. "Ma'am, I've brought the pilot, as requested."
“One moment.” Dannan righted herself, trying to not look entirely worn. She took time to wash her face and adjust her hair to present herself as more on top of it as she was then returned to the room, standing straight, peering outside the window of the city as if everything that happened was how it was supposed to be. “Send her in.”
Loreley entered the penthouse. Sge nodded to the older woman, 'You wanted to speak with me, ma'am? I've heard the news, thank you. I'll try to help with the vaccine, but my duties might keep me from being freely available. I can let your team take samples of my fluids at the very least.'
“If you did that, I’d be grateful more than I already am. We’ll get it processed eventually and I’ll find a way to get it delivered to you, when that happens. No charge. We’ll be working with the imperials more closely to loosen the Black Suns grip on them, so there’s a possibility we will be seeing more of each other. If you uncover any of their moles while you’re at it, be sure to let us know...we’ll remedy the situation.” Taking a pause, she turned to properly face the girl. “We believe that we managed to wipe out almost half of them. They’re disorganized and scrambling to make a move. That doesn’t mean, we’ve put the final nails in their coffin yet, but it’s a lot more even handed than when it started, thanks to you. Nobody should realize your involvement, but be wary.” Taking another breath, this speech was dragging out longer than she wanted. “And as promised, you’ll have our help for anything you need...HOWEVER, this returns to our first discussion. I’m only interested in what you want for yourself. We owe you. You can ask for almost whatever you like, but not for anyone’s benefit, but your own.” “Ideally, hold off on asking right away. We still need to put pressure on the enemy so we may be stretched thin for now. But..without saying much, we’ll have something a bit better than some silly pheromones.”
Loreley shook her head, 'You don't owe me anything. This mission was as much my own revenge as your start to your syndicate war. Thank you for the chance.' She nodded, 'I'll leave you two to relax then and head down to get my samples taken. We might not meet again for some time, so good luck, Ms Sarafiel.' Loreley smiled at the older woman and then left her and Cyrus alone. Telling the guard to take her to the labs, she had samples of all her relevant fluids taken.
The collection process doesn't take long, and Loreley is escorted down to the street and offered use of a chauffeur when she's done.
'Thanks but I can find my own way from here,' Loreley said and headed back to the hangar with Teal's ship. She walked up the ramp for Teal and Tarrik.
Fendrat was shocked. Shocked and happy in the same time. "Realy?! It can not be, we all already say farewell to Loreley. Are you sure it is a true?" He asked and steped back to take breath.
Dannan laughs at the question. "What? I don't need to work over everyone I see....it just didn't happen. Doesn't matter so much. Opportunists come and go. We can't dwell on what could have been. We should already be focusing on how to deal with the punk...trying to siege down a droid factory wouldn't be trivial...even I wouldn't want to test our skill at surviving suicide missions that much. We need to negotiate with him on neutral and broker a deal. Somehow."
He looks up and hugs her. "Yeah. Tarrik is out telling that Fendrat guy that you're still alive. Apparently he and your death trooper friend took it hard."
