The ship finally drops off, as Dannan tenses knowing that there was only so many ways this could seriously end and not really liking any of the outcomes she could predict. She took a minute to say her good byes to Ikki and Tekki, then proceeded off for the building, tense about all the things that could go wrong here.
A group of Clone Wars era battle droids meet her, in a factory complex crawling with thousands of them. "Dr Sarafiel?"
DT-L30 rushes forward, once more attacking with both of his sabers. With the sole intent of killing the assassin.
"Yes." She was naturally anxious, feeling more concern rising the T she spent here. She had expected a lot of them, but not this many. Even with the entire consortium, storming the place would be suicide. It was essentially an army of it's own. She didn't know if they bothered destroying the supply lines to prevent more from still being made for at least a little while, but even if they did, that didn't change how many had already still been built. This factory. It definitely could change the entire outcome of the syndicate war. Even the Imperials and Rebels would be given some pause if they had something like this under their belt. They had to get to it. "I'm here to see the owner."
Quickly, the assassin is overwhelmed, impaled by three lightsabers. Xarrina looks up at DT. "We should probably get off this planet."
"With me, please." She's lead into a massive spire, rising high into the sky, and up an elevator. At the penultimate floor, it stops, and the battle droids escort Danann into an office. Behind the desk sits a boyish looking young man. "Dr Sarafiel?" He deepens his voice to sound more mature. "Please, take a seat." As she approaches, she sees him desperately trying to not look at her breasts or her curves.
"Yeah." DT-L30 nods, deactivating his sabers. As he's about to strap them to his belt, he remembers. He takes Xarrina's old master's lightsaber, handing it back to her, "Thanks."
"You're welcome. From what I understand, you used them well." The two leave the cave, slaughtering a Kin'rath spider on the way. For the next few hours, they head back to the ship, wary of the space around them, before a blaster shot is fired. Xarrina manages to freeze it in midair, just a few inches from DT's face.
She had expected him to look young...but...this....he didn't seem anything like a lethal mastermind. Just someone barely an adult who was in over their head. Still, he couldn't be taken too lightly and she realized commenting on his age would likely be a sore spot, so she took the seat he offered and did her best to ignore the stares he gave her. He wanted to act like an adult, so she figured it would be better to treat him like one. "It's good to talk in person. I've seen a lot of facilities, but I have to say, this is one of the most impressively efficient and well built ones that I've seen. You really keep things running quite well."
DT-L30 moves out of the way of the shot, taking out his sabers, which he activates immediately. Ready to deflect the next volley.
He smiles. "To be fair, most of that is because of the Separatists that built the place. It mainly keeps itself running. So, what do you need?" He breaks character for a moment, looking nervous. "Oh, um... Do you want some refreshments? I can have them bring you some wine, if you want?"
Xarrina ducks behind a rock as the shots come pouring from multiple blasters at the top of the canyon walls around them.
She was tense at the prospect, but remembered what Cyrus had sais so she gave a polite nod. “I’m impressed, regardless. I wouldn’t mind a drink, if it’s not too much trouble.” Trying to keep him talking and get more comfortable she debated how to do it. “Is it really just you in here as the only non droid? That sounds tough for one person to manage.”
DT-L30 follows behind her, "Damn it, I didn't bring a blaster." He grunts, trying to see who was shooting at them. "Any ideas?" He asked, deactivating one saber, while keeping the other ready to deflect.
A battle droid enters the room with a bottle of wine and a glass, pouring for Danann. The young man says "Well, I have a friend, a Twi'lek woman who used to be with the ISB. She's not here right now, but she should be coming back pretty soon."
Looking up, before ducking back down, they see black specks atop the canyon. "Looks like they can't go invisible when they're firing. I'll jump out and block deflect their shots. You follow behind me and pull them down."
"Got it." DT-L30 nods, preparing to follow her. He uses the Force to pull the shooters as they reveal themselves.
