Can anyone tell me how to: A] Forums.. 1] Logout? (Literally tried "Find on page" thing, & it got 0.) 2/3] "Mark as read"? (Sorry if I'm old-school. Also, guess I was assuming, but is there a way when looking @ the Forum's main page to know/recall which you've read on that visit?) Thanks
Open the drop-down menu that shows your name on the top right. The last point is Logout The forums/threads shown in bold contain new posts. In the beginning, most forums contain unread threads, so the page New Posts might be useful. Additionally, you can "watch" certain forums by clicking the "watch" link (you find it below the "Post New Thread" button on every Forum's overview page.) That way, you get informed whenever a new thread gets created in that forum or if a post gets added. (Otherwise, you get only notifications if you already answered that thread or used the "watch" link of the thread.)
SPLIT! On the one hand, not sure how long after I posted that, found the "Logout" thing; Guess I forgot to edit my post, and/or forgot I'd posted it. As for the other, not about to "watch" anything, as (minimally) equally likely to be notified of things I don't care about as things I do. That's fine, but prefer not to have it happen/be-true as a result of my own actions. Also, not my first rodeo, so aware of & comfortable with "new in/near bold" thing on Forums, but different when paired with color scheme, etc.
Found the Logout thing myself. I'm confident the "New Posts" thing will work, but for obvious reasons, can't check right now to be sure.
WHOOPS! Got a new one... Started contributing to "Yes Mr. President". Was checking periodically to edit, and it somehow changed to 2 sets of thread-&-question. If I filled some sort of maximum for something & need to wait to continue, that's fine, but it isn't saying nor doing anything to tell me that. Yet another: Today, it says someone commented on 1 of my threads, but... 1] Click it, and see neither a comment nor any sign there was one. 2] Thought I'd be "enterprising" & contact the member about it, but clicked their name (in my "Notification"), & see no way to do that. (I'd think that ability would have a great deal of great uses.)
