"You're...clearly more honorable than most people these days. Especially inquisitors." Marguerite finishes her drink, looking earnestly at Mszczuj. "This druid woman, do you care about her?"
The woman moves, blocking Larisa's path, before her brother pulls her away. "Please, sister, she's made her decision, and we must respect it." He gives Larisa a smile which suggests to her that he doesn't respect her decision at all. "Dear girl, if you should ever reconsider, you'll be welcome here any time." He moves aside to let her pass, as both siblings eye her body.
The priest gulps, crossing himself and kissing his crusifix. "I-I can't believe this..." He looks truly devastated. "Hildegund...how could you?" The man doesn't seem to even be listening to Arne. His distraught face gets a dark look on it, as he approaches the orgy of drugged women. "You whore!" He rushes at Hildegund, tripping in the mud. He reaches out to grasp her throat, but Vaclav grabs him by the collar and pulls him back, looking bored. "His grace decides what happens to the meat, friend, not you." As the priest angrily tries to struggle out of the mercenary's grip, the Bohemian lets out a yawn.
Angelo made for denser parts of the forest, he dodged and weaved between the trees, hoping the bulky beast couldn't follow him so easily there.
"Hah, still got it." Allune cheered as the deer fell. But, the moment she heart Lukas shout. She sighed, "Hopefully... he's just being attacked by an animal." She said, hoping the black knights had no way of hiding from the spirits. "Come on, Ignatia. Sir fucks-a-lot might have tried seducing a beast's mate." She beckoned the redhead to follow, while taking note of where the slain deer was. Allune then rides toward Lukas' direction.
People who don't tend not to live long enough to see themselves become enemies. She didn't need to concern herself with every single problem and she was dedicated to at least playing down her alter ego for a little while though it felt like she's failed pretty hard at that currently. But nobody gave her much thought or looked at her with too much concern. Leaving the two be at least until given an actual reason to punish the insolence, she planned to leave them alone and move on. It was doubtful a lot of peasants in the village area would need a teacher of anything academic and the important nobles who could probably afford to learn such subjects were more or less her own family. But there were still marginally wealthy merchants and their families who needed to be tutored in subjects in order to run a business. And scholars must exist even here and have a place to gather...she decided she'd either need to find some new students or possibly a place to meet with people who cared more about literature than the real world even more than her.
The beast, as nimble as it is bloodthirsty, remains hot on Angelo's heels. As he runs, barely avoiding stumbling, he heads through a bush, and Allune quickly sees him and the boar both. Angelo is saved, as Lukas runs up from behind, hurling his boar spear like a javelin, the weapon digging into the hide of the boar's back. He gives a whoop, before, the boar turns around, charging him as viciously as it charged after Angelo. Lukas begins trying to clamber up a tree.
Luckily for Larisa, a town like this, in the middle of a trade route, are more urbane and literate than most places in this region. She sees a noticeboard, with a number of job offerings stamped onto it. Among those are multiple tutoring positions. Behind the board is an inn, from which Larisa can hear the sound of discourse and debate.
Allune sighed as she saw the sight before her, but before that she nocks another arrow. Aiming for the boar's weakpoint, however, an idea pops into her head. "Hey, Ignatia, try hitting that boar." She said to her redheaded companion, while she herself kept her aim. Ready to take the beast down before anything went wrong.
Deciding to grab a tutoring job first before other people can, she took one of the most promising ones she could find, folded the paper and tucked it away, then slowly approached the group to listen to their conversation and then walked over to sit herself down at the table, betting that if they were like her they wouldn’t be willing to tell her to go away to her face.
Ignatia's arrow goes far off the mark. Her next manages to hit the beast, but does almost no damage. She gives a cheer that turns to a gulp of fear, as the redhead realises that her dagger skills, while potent, are entirely useless against a boar. It turns, yet again, and goes after its new target.
Mszczuj look in the Marguerite's eyes. "Hmm... Let's say I would prefer to keept her save from force convert, she have her own mind and I'm sure she will understand everything in right time. So yes, I care about her like for rest of my men." He said.
At a table, a number of well dressed people sit, arguing in several languages as to the merits of Ovid's works on the subject of romance. Two priests argue in Latin over whether romantic love is sinful, while two well dressed merchant's wives call out their strong opinions in Polish about Greek and Latin authors, and which are superior. Two merchants discuss the young Czech preacher Jan Hus, and are overheard by the priests, who stop their argument to interject and call the merchants blasphemers. Two peasants, clearly not fans of the church, begin to angrily curse at the priests, who respond with many swears that Larisa's never heard before. Amidst the anarchy, a barkeep approaches Larisa. "Madhouse, eh?" She grins. "What can I get you?"
"A colleague of mine will be arriving in the not to distant future. He has something of a reputation. I'd advise not having Eva around when he gets here."
Mszczuj nod. "I will take that advise to heart. It will be hard but I think to cover her as one of servant or priest. Well, it will be hard to change her mind in that way." He think about it and look at Inquisitor. "Maybe you will go with me to her? It will be helpfull if she listen to other woman." He offered.
"I'm not much of a drinker." The barkeeper seemed friendly enough and Larisa made a couple of interjections with the conversations going on, and biting back the fact she had strong opinions of who was right and wrong, not trying to make any real enemies, but her presence was largely unnoticed. She had no love for the church either, so the best she could do is flash a supportive smile to the peasants, but otherwise not really get involved. "I just felt like this was still preferable to hanging around those two trying to recruit for the bordello." She assumed that they must have been known by locals, and while not totally concerned with them right now, she'd rather pick up what she can about them from rumors so when the time inevitably comes for it, she'll be prepared.
"Good job!" Allune cheered as Ignatia's second arrow hit its mark. And the moment the boar turned towards them, the busty blond lets her arrow loose. Aiming for the beast's weak point, much like she did with the deer.
Angelo was relieved that the boar wasn't chasing him anymore but it went after somebody else now. He looked where the boar spear had landed.
Ophelia sighed, barely resisting the urge to facepalm. “That idiot...” the sighed quietly before looking at Kuril. “Please do, and I'm sorry for the trouble my brother is causing. I just hope he didn't do something even more stupid due to being drunk...” She gave her permission to the Russian.
