"Very well." She stands up from the table to follow along. It seemed like Illya was just fine, though Larisa's mind was now more preoccupied on the tome. Who wrote it? What was in it? What kind of spells did early wiccans do? The kind of questions she was interested in ranged from normal, to ones that only the most esoteric of scholars could ever possibly care about. Still, the temptation would have to wait. She had to make sure she could do this job and come back alive first.
The monk chuckles. "Got you interested with that book, 'ave we?" He opens the door to the room Ilya's sleeping in, finding the young Russian half dressed, engaged in a passionate kiss with the nun Larisa saw earlier. The monk grabs the nun away. "Oi! How many times do I have to tell you? No gettin' frisky with guests." She gives him a petulant look. "Whatever..." The nun walks off, not giving Ilya another look. "Damn it..." The young Rus frowns, before clutching his head. "Ah, damn it! Close the door." The light from outside pains his hungover eyes.
"Ahah... y-yeah, I guess. But, the weird thing is. I could have sworn I heard a woman's voice in there, that was the only reason I entered in the first place." Allune replied before the inquisitor walked away. "Anyway, thank you again." She said with another bow.
Mszczuj rise his hand for the latter. "Okey, so give me the message." He was suprised that Duke know where they are right now. Probably some of his spy inform him.
Approaching the room, she shut the door behind them, a little stunned at the woman...but not really. Seeing the church trying to get away with whatever was pretty much expected. She was more surprised by the other revelation and as she shut the door to examine her hungover brother, the bookish woman actually laughed. "You actually got a woman to sleep with you." Despite her joking tone, she looked a little more serious afterwards. "How's your head? Seems like you were doing just fine. Olga made it sound like I'd have to siege the building."
"Strange. Maybe something's up, do you think? Could he be in trouble?" She stops. "He stopped a thief the other day, a female one, and a succubus attacked Lady Ophelia's brother. Perhaps he's in danger?"
"When you reach Marienburg, you are to talk to a man named Josiah, in the Teuton archives." The man leaves without another word.
Ilya groans. "Oh, come on, I can get women, no prob. Though with her, it wasn't so much that I seduced her. It was more like I was a piece of meat for her to use and discard. Weird." He shakes his head, before chuckling at the thought of Olga. "Oh, poor girl. She's a little terrified at the thought of the Catholic church, so I'm not surprised she'd act like that."
Mszczuj suspect it was message from mistery woman, what he meet her before the inn. "Alright, I will meet him." He said.
"Eh? Well, he didn't look like he was in trouble. How should I put this... embarrassed more like?" Allune pondered, before looking back at the door. "Uh... well, maybe he's being held hostage? What do we do? Should we open the door?"
Arne smirks. "It's mostly her, she just needed a heavy hand to put her in her place." As they made it to the gallows, Arne makes a speech, about corruption and debauchery of widows, their contacts with demons that resulted in deaths of men in the forest. Then he hangs the witches to the applause of the villagers. He leaves the village with his retinue, an hour later, leaving Hild in hands of the priest. It was time to make a visit to his old mentor's daughter.
Mszczuj has a fairly unremarkable day from that point on. At one point Eva comes to visit him, recovered. "How are things?"
Cardinal Bruno told Arne that the daughter is the newlywed wife of a merchant named Fritz Koelburg, a young man who recently inherited a fortune from his father.. As far as Bruno was aware, it was a love match, and the two are famously in a state of marital bliss. As they travel into Saxony, no one dares intercept the group, as an inquisitor surrounded by armed and armoured soldiers is few people's idea of a soft target. Eventually, on a particularly sunny day that illuminates bright fields of yellow flowers, Arne sees the Koelburg manorial house.
Marguerite rushes in after her, and the two women see Angelo in a bathtub with a beautiful woman with pale skin and white hair, who yelps at the intrusion. @unisol_gr44 The door slams open with a bang, and Allune rushes back into the baths. Behind her is Marguerite, who flashes Angelo a mischievous smile while the blonde can't see her.
Mszczuj sit on the chair next to fire place. "Getting more complicated I would say. I guess if I survive next weaks, I will get old for ten years. I already feeling not the same person as we begin our mission."
'Wha-!' Angelo exclaimed, as the door slammed open. He looked in shock as Allune and Marguerite rushed in, his cheeks going bright red. 'Oh-uhm-haha... did we take too long?' He scratched his head and sighed, 'Well... cat's out of the bag now. Sorry for the deception.'
