No, I thought they complicated things unnecessarily. I mean, if anyone really, really liked them, I'll bring them back, but I think they really just made people spend more time on character creation for no reason.
Name: Koyumi(小優美) Age: 34-426 Spoiler: Immediate Family Mitsuri is a "young" girl, who helps her mother with the shop. A bit quiet, but not shy, it takes her a while to get used to people. Having spent more time around humans, she tends to sympathize with their struggles more than most of her kind does, though she will always put her family and herself first over humans. Rare for her kind, she's willing to give people the benefit of the doubt first without expecting rewards for it. But should a human take advantage of her trust, their houses seem to suffer a case of inexplicably catching fire the next day. Date Kazunori is the name he went with. Being, half blooded, he doesn't suffer the same issue as the rest of his family and is perfectly comfortable with the idea of using that loophole to directly attack people. With his extended life, he's had plenty of practice to get in at making him good with a blade. Despite the intense look, he doesn't really like to practice and while he does like playing the part of the old master to those who want training under him, he will still gouge his students and villagers for his services and protection. Not even necessarily limited to money, he'll make deals to take payment for whatever he feels like actually matters to someone. If they aren't willing to part with it, then obviously they don't need his help that badly. His more magical oriented abilities he can find plenty of use for in combat, but he's not really creative with use of it outside of it and his skills in that respect have somewhat dulled compared to his mother or sister. As a mentor, he prefers to make his students do all the basic labor, like cutting wood or scrubbing floors, mainly because he doesn't want to. And to test the patience of prospective students as well, only really teaching the ones who show themselves to be truly dedicated to learning the ways of the sword. (I'm thinking she also has a lot of sisters, but I have no specific thoughts on any of them and I assume most of them are younger so they stay away from civilization.) Occupation: Merchant Skills: *Charm **Dexterity **Magic Magic: Due to running into the wrong kind of trouble with a particularly clever hunter, one of her tails has been severed, greatly weakening her magic. Of course, he's dead now, but not without having left his mark. While her abilities will restore with time, she's not at the state of being the menace she could have been. However, people who want her gone would realize they'd have the opportunity, so she keeps this to herself. She still retains the knowledge to know her spells, but can only manage using a handful of spells and not to the degree she could have before. Foxfire: Capable of generating fire/electrical bursts of energy, though in her current state they are much less potent. Confusion: Tampers with a target's senses and confuses them about the environment and the things surrounding them, leaving things and people not where they think they are. Shapeshift: Speaking will still give her away and she can't focus enough power to fine tune into any specific person or animal and can't hold forms for very long anymore(If this is too much to start, I can change it.) Life Drain: Can still weakly sap some health from someone to restore her own. She can't physically harm people, but since it doesn't cause any direct injuries itself, she can get away with using it. While absorbing magical energy too is possible, it's currently beyond what she's capable of. Stats: Wealth: 1; Prestige: 1 Description: "I won't hurt you." "You won't be hurt." There's a big difference between the wording and the kitsune are experts at finding ways around it. By their nature, the fox spirits are incapable of bringing harm to humans directly. But being the natural tricksters they are, it doesn't mean they aren't dangerous. Not caught up in the human definitions of right and wrong, Kitsune value their freedom above all else. Generally content with just harmless pranks, they aren't above being outright vicious when they feel wronged, whether the human in question knows what they did or not. Whether or not a kitsune is malevolent or benevolent in the eyes of people varies. For Koyumi, she falls in the end of not being a dangerous one. Her true nature is a closely guarded secret by a select few of the clan, who as taught by the elders, should just leave the spirit be. Having grown up with her around, most of the new generation of clan leaders consider her a welcome presence or at least a familiar one, and some even taking to her as a mother like figure, though there's still a number who see her as a dangerous spirit who needs to be appeased and would rather have her be some other clan's problem if they could find a way to do it without risking getting a curse brought on themselves. While mature, her trouble making nature tends to find it's way out though she mostly focuses it on business. It's not uncommon for people to find things she picks up on her travels that can be defined as not quite illegal. Those who don't know her consider her to be just a friendly, good looking and kind of shady merchant. Those aware of what she is, are mostly just happy she stays away from making any major trouble, but they'll still keep a closer eye on their pockets. Like other kitsune, she'll seclude herself to the woods for a while, only for their curiosity to get the better of them and make their way back to civilization for a little while. Changing names and jobs every few generations had left her with having saved quite a bit of money, enough to be a merchant of some status. She's not sure of how long she'll stick to this for, but she'll just have fun with it while it lasts. Forbidden: A lot of stuff is pretty context dependent, so it's hard to pin down. Some stuff might not work most of the time, but it still might have an occasion where it does. The only stuff I know I definitely don't approve of at all is gore, vore, scat, feet. I'm also really not for rape and murder kind of angles in general. Let me know if that works. Her magical skills might need to be edited if not.
Technically she should only have two spells, but on consideration, that isn't a lot for a magic based character, so I could increase the amount of spells a skill point buys. Just for clarification, not a problem at all, Date and Mizuri are her kids? Other than that, it's golden.

In charge of increasing the family's wealth, and so far doing a good job at it Picture: Spoiler All three have roughly the same appearance as Midori, with the main differences – apart from age and all it brings – being eye color and hair length: Yuki's barely reaches to her shoulders, Naomi's reaches to a bit below her shoulders (though it is hard to tell due to her usual hair cut – see picture), while Saeki's is nearly as long as Midori's. For the curious, breast size comparison between the four: Naomi and Yuki are equal in breast size, Midori is just slightly bigger, while Saeki is just slightly smaller.
Alright, realized I forgot to add a forbidden list so editted that in, though again...it's really hard to just think of everything I will or won't like since there's such a broad spectrum of things, there's always going to be something that doesn't occur to you that you didn't add, until it happens because there's so many things, you can't think of all of them. But also like I said...there's a lot of things like blackmail and mindcontrol, and lust drug stuff that I'm mostly not for, but there can still be the occasional moment where it works. Just won't usually get my stamp of approval normally, but it can happen. Like I said. A lot of it is context dependent.

I think basically that the list should get updated as you think of more things that you aren't into, or if you think that the story might be going in a direction that you find uncomfortable. Gore, scat and that kind of stuff are actively disgusting to me, so they'll never be in a game I run (there might be gore in a fight, but never in a sexual connotation). Rape is something I won't include unless a player dm's me to say that they're okay with it, same with stuff like sexual slavery. There was a sex slave arc in the Star Wars rp, but it only happened because unisol and I discussed that idea beforehand.

So not sure what her relationship to the patriarch would be. Since she personally probably remembers most of the clan since they were babies, and from their perspective, it's more or less that she's always been around, she probably has a certain kind of elder role, though it's possible she's not necessarily the wise variety. Like not sure what the relationship would be. I assume Midori and the family would be aware of what Koyumi is, but since she's grown up around it, it's just not too interesting to them . Maybe there's a slight mentor role, but I don't know by how much. It's possible that they don't necessarily listen.
