He's handed the contract. As the two parties argue, throwing about percentages like 70%, 80% for how much they should be getting, the reality isn't so profitable. According the the original contract, the old man, Yuan, took 80% of the profits from an adventure into a tomb. The retainer and the ronin, the people who did the actual work, only get 10% each.
Inazuma nod. " Sure, that is what I was training for. But it look like you will first talk to him. " Inazuma hide hersellf in the shadows and follow her sister, leaving lifeless corpse of their father behind, without looking back.
'It seems to me the old man screwed you both,' Jian said to them, 'It says here you each get ten percent, the old man took eighty of the profits. Lucky for him he's already dead.'
"Ho? Interesting indeed. You wouldn't happen to know where this Tiyaka person is now, would you? I can take a guess at where Oichi "seduces" her son. If she hasn't changed that much, they're probably doing it somewhere within her property. Oichi did always say, "Getting caught is part of the fun." Kyouka said as she looks for somewhere to sit. "As for the shinobi. Any ideas who his mistress is?"
Sanada storms into the room. Though he didn't hold much love for his brother, he was angry that 'assassins' had managed to kill him. After a loud discussion in which little is decided, he leaves. Sanada doesn't seem to believe that Midori is a suspect, though he does make insinuations about Clan Rai.
Inazuma was more than sure, Sanada will hire his own shinobi if he realy want take position of leader. As she follow him, she also looking around for track of another ninja.
"Son of a..." The ronin starts laughing, while the retainer hits the wall. After a few moments, they calm down. The ronin looks at Jian. "Hey, kid, since I wasn't able to make much off of this job, what would you say to a little partnership?" The retainer looks at her like she's insane. "You want to go back? Whatever, it's your funeral." He walks away, and Jian realises that the crisis is averted. The ronin looks him and Chitsukiko up and down. "Yeah, you look like you could hold your own. What would you say to going tomb raiding?"
He nods. "She has a section of the palace, where she and her followers reside." He chuckles."Oichi sounds like a fun girl. As to the mistress, yes, I know who she is. Problem is, she's one of the empress' handmaids, so getting to her might be difficult. Leverage won't be hard, though. They're not allowed to sleep with anyone but the emperor, so the fact that she has a lover is enough to get her executed."
"Oh trust me. She's not worth it." Kyouka grumbles, "Anyway, that's a good enough start. Specially if that's the case. Oichi will be doing it somewhere close, probably somewhere she can see from her bedroom. Hell, I wouldn't deny the chance of Oichi drugging her, so that they can do it right then and there." She sighed, hating the fact she can remember all the debauchery her sister has caused. "As for the concubine. We'll need proof. Or at least make her think we do. Maybe that shinobi's family crest? Or something he owns?"
'Tomb raiding?' Jian raised an eyebrow, he looked to Chitsukiko for a moment, 'Maybe, what's in it for us?'
Luckily, there don't seem to be any other shinobi around, at least that Inazuma notices. Sanada heads to his men, talking softly to some of the top Yokuboo officers.
"Well, damn, that's... She's bizarre." He shakes his head. "Anyway, the concubine... I can get you the shinobi's crest, definitely."
"Money." She smirks. "We only scratched the surface of what was in the tomb. Come with me, and the three of us can split it equally."
'It's tempting. what lies in wait in that tomb, though?' Jian asked, 'We need to report back that you two didn't kill each other, anyway. When did you intend to go back to that tomb?'
"Yeah, yeah, enough about my sister and her... sexual exploits. Do you have the name of the concubine? I doubt they'd let even bother to let me approach with it." Kyouka sighed. "Anyway, my sister soon to be "past" benefactor will have to wait."
"No, I'm not going to start my reign by murdering my niece." Sanada talks to one of the men, shooting down his proposal. "The first thing we have to do is identify the assassins and destroy them. That is what will let me become clan patriarch."
"Pu Yang is her name. She likes to wear pink gowns, with dark hair, and is reputedly one of the best looking of the concubines. "
'Undead?' Jian looked sceptical, 'Maybe you out to hire one of the monks then? Well, anyway, were can we find you if we decide to accompany you, Miss... ?'
