@asddas193 @unisol_gr44 Chitsukiko walks up and examines the weapon and armour. "This would bring great respect to the samurai who wore it." The ronin nods. "Respect, or a fat stack of gold to whoever sold it." Chitsukiko frowns, turning around, before the group hears her yelp loudly and draw her katana. Facing in the same direction, they see another statue with a set of armour, this one of similar but lesser quality to the one in the center of the room, far closer to them than it was when they walked in.
"Really now." Kyouka sighed, looking around to count how many statues moved. "Anyway, I'll take a gander, and guess it means. Prove yourself, or die." She said to Jian, as she takes a defensive stance. Ready to quickdraw her blade if their opponents move again.
She gets into position, but nothing happens. The statue stays still, as do the others. "Maybe we have to make the first move?"
"Seriously now?" Kyouka sighed, but decides to test it anyway. She changes her stances, ready to leap, and dash toward her opponent with a quick iai draw. Taking a deep breath, and making sure her footing was good. Kyouka lunges at a statue.
Her blade scrapes from its shaft, and Kyouka vaguely hears Chitsukiko shout "Wai-" As the statue springs to life, drawing its own blade and parrying her attack, before moving forwards and launching a large downwards cut.
'So this is the guardian?' Jian looked at the animated statue and drew his blade, closing in on it and attacking its flank while it was lunging at Kyouka.
"Heh." Kyouka's murderous grin appears, side-stepping the statue's slash. The redhead steps on its blade, as she rams her own onto its neck.
His blade sinks into the armour as though it was flesh, blood pouring from its back. She feels the wind rush next to her face as the blade swipes down next to her, and then the resistance of her sword point thrusting forwards into its neck. A spray of blood pours out, and the armour begins to age and decay, before the armour collapses to the ground. "Ah, crap." The ronin swears, and Jian and Kyouka watch as at least a dozen statues come to life, drawing weapons.
'I agree,' Jian said to the Ronin and faced the nearest statue, charging it to take it out before they could surround the group.
"Hey! Get your own prey!" Kyouka shouts at Jian. Before wondering what sort of sorcery was at play. Living armor? Aww, don't tell me even that guy in the middle is going to rot? She thought to herself, taking a glance of her precious, soon to be, new sword. Before charging at the next closest statue, since she has a better grasp of their abilities. Kyouka immediately strikes at its neck again.
A statue in mainland armour with a spear thrusts towards Jian's neck. She sees that at least for now, the armour and weapon are still fine. The next statue blocks her attack with its no dachi, while two others flank her.
Jian ducked under the spear and closed the distance to return the favour, aiming his Dao at the statue's neck as well.
The spear barely misses, before the statue goes down. Another charges at her, but falls to the ground, shot by Chitsukiko. Another one charges towards him, tackling him to the ground and choking him with stone arms.
'Ughk!' Jian gargled, as he gathered his Qi in his hands. Chopping at the arms holding his neck, he tried to break them off before the statue crushed his throat.
Focused on the enemy in front of her, Kyouka once more moves to the side before the two got close. She doesn't stop there, as she immediately moves behind the statue before giving him a hard kick towards the two flanking her. Though she doubts mere objects could get flustered, so she immediately sheaths her sword. Grabbing her matchlock, she aims at one statues neck to thin their numbers.
Her aim rings true, and it goes down, but more come towards her, numbers seemingly growing. One tries to flank her, but before she can react, the ronin blocks the blow and enters the fight, covering Kyouka's back. Back to back, the two female warriors watch as a swarm of armoured statues approach. He manages to bash the hands away, before Chitsukiko sends an arrow through its head. She then gives a yelp as two statues attack her from in front and behind.
Jian rolled out of the way of the falling statue and sprung to his feet, rushing towards Chitsukiko. He swung his sword at the first target, quickly moving to the other to keep them away from his cousin.
"Where the hell are they coming from?" Kyouka pondered as she slings her gun back, and draws her sword. "Oh well. I guess it's more fun this way!" She exclaimed as her grin widens, she once again charges. But instead of the mob statues, Kyouka heads to the well equiped one at the center. "Might as well get used to my soon to be weapon!" She exclaimed as she grabs the exquisite weapon.
“No, I stayed in my room and no one bothered me. I heard some fighting during the night, but nothing more.” Midori explained. “I have not yet had the time to find out any details about what, exactly, happened.”
