'Your cousin? Oh my god, I'm so sorry. That's horrible,' Lilly hugged Hanna, 'Do you know what caused it?'
"I see." She looked into her son's eyes, seriously. "Mikael, be extremely careful... and keep your eyes opened. Understand?"
As she sought through contacts, she hasn't found the number she was searching for. But she did realise that she had Ines' social media contact.
Hanna hugged her bag, her bust interloping Lily's. "I am... mot sure. No, I don't know." Hanna answered. "But that isn't your problem." She forced herself to smile. "So, what would you like to do?"
"I promise, mum." He nods. "I'll look after myself, and Lilly." Mikael slides his hand over his mother's. "But you be careful, too, okay? You're a great cop, but no one's invulnerable. If you feel unsafe, call for backup. Or, you know, you can call me. I'll be there if you need me."
Social media, great... Valerie sighed. Well, let's give it a try, and hopefully Ines will see the message right away... She sent her a private message asking her if she was free right now.
How about coming to my place? I'm currently alone, since everyone went out. I'll give you the address. She replied, hopeful.
As they finish, Mikael's mother serves the food - as they both start eating she turn to Mikael. "So, found a girlfriend yet?"
Alcohol? Valerie raised an eyebrow at the suggestion, but quickly agreed with the offer. After exchanging a few more messages the two ironed out the details and Val gave her phone number to Ines, so that her guest could call her when she arrived. Alright, that's done. Now to take care of the last preparation before Ines arrives... Valerie decided to drop the charm not far from the entrance - this way her guest would surely find it when she arrived. If it didn't work she could just pretend one of her siblings had dropped it there by accident; if it did she would be able to tell right away. Then she waited, feeling rather nervous...
After half an hour, Val's cellphone rings. As she picks it up, she hears Ines. "Hey!, I am in front." She says. As Val looks outside, she sees the young woman standing in front of the house. She is wearing a dark jacket, keyhole top, bright slit skirt, brown stockings and knee-boots. In her hand, she held a bag - in other, cellphone.
His mother raised her eyebrow. "Not looking as in not interested, or not looking as in I already have my eyes on someone?"
Mikael chuckles, dodging the question. "Why would I need to look for a girl, when I live with the two most beautiful women around already?" He frames the response like he's just kidding around, though that is more or less his real thought process. "How about you, any guys? Has Gus asked you out yet?"
Sigrid chuckled, taking it as joke. "Well, we were actually together, a couple of years ago. Now?" She shrugged. "Now we are just friends."
Mikael hides a flash of jealousy. "Well, I hope that you find someone who makes you happy." I'll make you real happy, mum. Just you wait...
The woman chuckled. "Thank you. I do hope so too." She smiled as she finished her meal. She took the plates and cleaned them. "So, what do you plan for the afternoon?" She asked.
