You didn't bother searching me for a gun, you know. She silently thought the comment in her head, as she made her way to the boss and already had a pretty good idea what he was all about. She could probably just put a bullet in him and the world would be better off for it like exorcising any demon, but as far as she knew, he was still human and she certainly wasn't going to resort to hurting anyone when she didn't really need to. Everyone deserved a chance...even...this guy. Maybe. She already knew he had some ties with the occult...but she needed to know what they were before deciding on anything like that. "Henry? I saw the job offer and thought I should apply. Are you busy right now?"
"Certainly isn't. But it can be fun once in a while." She joked as she tightened her grip around his arm as they walked inside, leaning in a little closer and talking so only he could hear. "Where do you hope it ends up if you think this is a good start?" Letting the question hang in the air, as she scanned the dance floor, looking for their target somewhere in the milling crowd. It was a shame they were here on business. Looked like they all were having fun. She could feel her blood pumping with all the life around her, the dancing, the music, and the atmosphere. "Seeing anyone familiar?" Vespa asked James as she slipped away from holding his arm and took a few steps away from him to see if there was anything she could find. She was also searching for a bar, if they were going for the 'get him drunk, and then outside' plan. And where the bouncers were if it failed, or they had to improvise.
@merkros Nadya watches as Erka bursts into the warehouse. So successful is her entrance, that the imps stand totally still, completely confused. The barrier becomes visible around Erika, and the glowing bolts tear through one of the imps, killing it outright, and taking off the tail of another, their stillness making them easy targets. After their moment of hesitation, the imps counter charge, splitting into two groups to attack Erika and Seres. @asddas193 For the moment, they haven't acknowledged Melissa.
Just as Melissa was about to say that she could indeed use wind magic to allow her voice to be heard in a wide area. The kickboxer went ahead and kicked down the door. "Uwaaah!" She let out a surprised voice as Erika let out a taunting yell. "E-eh, uhm." Flustered, Melissa channels her wind magic around herself. Then as the imps split up, Melissa uses the built up wind around her to slam against the imps charging at Seres. I'm sure Erika can handle herself, especially with that barrier. She thought to herself as she worked her magic.
He shoos away the two women, and pats the seat next to him. "No, no, not at all! You're here for the waitress vacancy?" He holds up the tray with the white powder. "Want some?"
The bar is along the back wall, and at the moment the line actually isn't too bad. She can also see a bar in the VIP lounge, though it's hard to see anything else, since the VIP floor is specifically designed to be hard to see from the ground. There are four bouncers in total on the ground floor, one at the front, one on the dance floor, one near the bar, and one blocking the stairs to the VIP.
@moonblack Three of the imps charging at Seres fly backwards into the warehouse, their charge stopped for the moment, leaving only three of the lesser demons coming for her, tails at the ready.
"Umm, that's okay, no. And yes, the waitress job. I was wondering if I could learn more about that?" Even she wasn't so naive that she wasn't at least a little hesitant to take a seat next to him, hands on her knees, still looking too prim and proper to fit in, but maybe he liked that kind of thing? She wasn't heavily interested in catering to his tastes. As long as they talked, he'd eventually say something important. "One of my friends actually said she'd vouch for me. Erin?" She was being as polite as expected during a normal job, but quietly reading his face to see what she could get from it.
He laughs. "That was a test. You passed." He puts away the tray of narcotics, scooting aside to let her sit down. His eyes narrow slightly, as she mentions Erin. "Erin, eh? And what exactly did she tell you about me?"
After they were let inside, James looked around main hall of the club. It would be a miracle if Erin was actually present, but you never know your luck. @Mazoku 'She's working quickly, already up in the VIP lounge,' James shook his head. James chuckled, perfectly aware she was teasing him, 'Finding the tome and the three of us getting back to the mansion unharmed would be good.' The young man did look around the club to see if there was anyone familiar, but meeting someone from his past might be troublesome as he was supposed to be dead. 'Should we get some drinks to... "blend in"?' James asked his 'date'.
Seres nodded to herself, satisfied with how well her attack had worked. Seeing the imps charge her she started channeling a holy chain lightning spell. It would not be enough for all the attacking imps, but- I guess it will be enough. The ex-cosplayer though as three of the imps were suddenly blown back by strong wind. Just then she finished her spell, a lightning bolt of holy energy striking the nearest imp, then jumping over to strike the second one, and then the third.
Letting out a loud battle cry, Erika lashes out with a spin kick aimed at the attackers trying to swarm her, the symbols on her boots flaring to life as the anti-demon magic in them lends power to her blow.
"Honestly? That probably should only consider this place if I really need a job. And I do." She didn't really have a guess of the Goth girl she saw to have a good idea of what kind of things she should say, but he had confirmed he had spoken to her and knew who she was. "Umm...truth be told, she said I probably wouldn't be meant for working in a club like this. But I have references, if you want to check them!" Fumbling over her words, it was both aiding in making her look like a nice girl desperate for work and the fact that Alicia's own bad lying somehow made her look more natural as a stressed out girl who didn't have a lot of options.
The sniper used the distraction to take her first shot. Then without hesitation, she lined up a second and third shot on the other targets before even acknowledging the first was down. Then having taken her shots, she pulled her rifle back and started to move quickly around the walkway to get a different angle. She wasn't sure of the efficacy of it since she didn't know whether or not the imps had a way to fire back or not, but she hoped that shots from different angles would at least sow some confusion or catch some of the imos taking cover
Her lightning tears through two of them, wounding the remaining one, who finally manages to fly up to the fake nun, stabbing his tail at her neck. Nadya's bullets tear through three of the imps heading towards Erika, killing them outright. As she repositioned, she sees another three, previously knocked down by magic, beginning to stand. As Erika prepares her attack, Nadya opens fire, killing three of her six opponents. Her kick catches one of the imps square on the side of the head, and her natural power, combined with the magic of her boots, sends the imp flying into the wall, where he impacts with a wet splat, leading the fighter to assume that he's no longer an issue. Of the two remaining imps, one attacks her from behind, but is blocked by the magical barrier Seres cast. The imp in front of Erika manages to get past the barrier, stabbing its tail towards her neck.
Henry laughs. "That sounds like something Erin would say. Look, this isn't really a hard job, if you look good and you know how to take basic directions. That said, the girls here do wear clothing that's a little more... revealing than this. Not only that, but they need to flaunt it a little. Are you going to be able to do that? You don't exactly seem too comfortable, to be honest."
She was surprised she had hit close to the mark. It gave her an actual idea of what the greater scope target was like. Hearing his suggestion, she obviously wasn't too easy going with it, but with the mission she had, she'd have to do what she needed to get his trust. "I'm a hard worker though! I mean...I'll wear whatever I need to even if it's a little much....I'm not all that sure how to "flaunt it" though, but I can figure something out. I've never been late for work either, if that helps."
"Alicia is still up in the VIP lounge. So one of us should stay here to keep an eye open." Apparently, she had decided that would be him as she started to walk toward the bar with sway in her hips. She was keeping an eye out for anything out of the ordinary, or their target, as she weaved through the crowd. "A pair of whiskeys. On the rocks." She told the bartender, taking a seat on the nearest stool as she waited. Not much caring for if James liked it or not. Tonight, they were meant for holding and just looking pretty. She turned around, resting her arms against the bar table as she looked out on the dance floor, moving her head to the music, loving the heavy beat.
'Suits me, if the guy asked for my ID I'd be busted anyway,' James chuckled, letting Rebecca slink to the bar. He couldn't deny that she was very alluring in her dress and in the way she moved. Rending his gaze off her swaying hips, he shook his head. He had to focus on the mission. James kept standing and keeping an eye on the other patrons, as well as the VIP lounge in case something went wrong. He tried to look casual, though did seem slightly uncomfortable Goth club. He hadn't had a lot of time to change before they left, only grabbing anything that looked sufficiently black.
Erika turns to avoid the neck stab, the tail just barely missing coming in contact with her flesh. In retaliation, she simultaneously throws an elbow strike towards the one that hit the barrier behind her while aiming another kick at the "lucky" one in front of her.
