I did a job for the woman, a member of the Order of the Flaming Rose. She had me sabotage one of her rivals, a witch hunter, but when I came back to ask for payment, she claimed I'd left the job half done and had her men throw me out."

“Thar sounds a lot more like the truth to me.” She gave agreement to the soccercer’a story. It did leave a entirely situation out for the knight’s too deal with, but she’d let them sort it out. She still had plans of her own, after all. “I’m sure if you take the time, you can verify his story.”

Heading to the other end of town, Varrin eventually finds himself in the elven quarter, a rundown ghetto situated against the edge of the town wall. Heading through the sprawling streets and alleyways, he notes that though the elves are sequestered in an unpleasant area of ugly buildings, they make the most of it, keeping the streets clean and pleasant to walk through. Still, though, despite the pleasant nature of the streets, the elves on them look at the nobleman with hostility and suspicion, clearly wondering if he's come to try and do them harm. The knight nods, gesturing for the sorcerer to come with him. "Very well. If he speaks the truth, then though he is a criminal, there are true murderers who need punishment. If you require aid, feel free to come to the chapter house of the Order of the Flaming Rose. We've little patience for magic users usually, but you've helped us, so we will help you.
