So far, her medallion is immobile, indicating that the man isn't a monster, or using some sort of spell. Subtly Gustav shakes his head at Trista, indicating that his own medallion isn't moving either. The man puts his axe down, leaning on the handle. "I've seen it, yes. Survived an attack by it as well." He gestures to his chest, where one of the many scars appears to be new, as if it only recently healed. "As for where it might be, there are a few places like that around. There's some caves, one of which was used as a bandit lair a few years ago, before the king's soldiers came and killed them all. It's abandoned now, unless the wolf is using it."
"Oh..." She sighs, not paying attention to her son's staring. "I'm well, but I'm terribly bored lately. There haven't been any social engagements, and with the new staff your father is hired the castle practically runs itself." A frown mars her beautiful face, but fails to make her look any less attractive. "Besides reading, and keeping myself fit, I've had nothing to do."
Matthias chuckles. "Don't be too hard on them. They're decent folk, just a bit desperate. Few people come down here to the swamps, so they're a little desperate." Walking out of the hut, Matthias begins to lead her across the elevated village, down to a small jetty with a rowboat. "I hope you don't mind water." He chuckles, getting onto the boat. "The ruins are on a small island in the middle of the swamp. Be careful, the area around the village is safe, but there are drowners near the island, which is why none of the village folk have never gone treasure hunting."
“Well, I'm glad to hear that you're doing well, mother. Is there anything I can do for you? Though I am afraid I am not much of an entertainer...” Varrin offered.
As the days passed by, Mirellia was impressed as her son finally took their training seriously. Even going as far as promising him a reward of whatever he wanted to encourage him, if he managed to disarm her. Though in truth, such an idea only came due to her increasingly frequent fantasies. The noblewoman finding comfort with her fingers more, and more. Often times wearing the collar she stole. But after the incident with Caster, she prohibited herself from any more "public shows." And as they made came one last time, Mirellia decided to wear whatever dress Gunther will give her, for tomorrow. Looking at Novigrad's walls, the sexy milf was mesmerized at the sight. Until Caster arrived, "Ah, yes it is." She replied, before looking back at the city. "Have you ever been to Novigrad before, Caster?"
"Well, I suppose..." She hesitates. "Perhaps if you're doing anything, I can tag along? Of course, if you don't want to be seen dragging around your old mother, I'll understand."
"Could you show us the way, where find these caves? And borrow one torch for Bogird, he isn't witcher so he need light." She asked. "Let's started with former bandit lair."
Verena steps into The Boat and sits down opposite from him. "Well in that case I suggest You move us slowly and evenly. Drowners won't be able to Kill Me, but You....Well I suggest You make as less sound as possible and Hope they won't ascend from The Depths under Us..." The Witcher says in a serious tone, hoping to make The Young Man nervous and more focused.
"Never, ma'am." He draws up next to her. "I've been looking forward to it." The young man stands quietly for a moment, before raising his arm. In it, Mirellia sees the collar. "I was cleaning the carriage, ma'am, when I found this."
“Don't be silly, mother. I'll be happy to have you come - I'll get plenty of envious stares if a gorgeous beauty like you was accompanying me.” Varrin chuckled. “Though I admit I do not know when and where I will be going. Father told me to help Madeline and Isabella. I spent today helping Maddie, but I haven't even spoken with Isabella, as she was out. So I have no idea what she might ask of me or where I will need to go.” He explained. “But that's for later. Anything I can do for you right now, to help alleviate your boredom?”
"I see. I guess it is something to look forward to." Mirellia replied, taking a deep breath to relax herself. Until she saw what he was holding, the sexy milf froze. "That... why is something like that in the carriage?" She asked, and once again, for the briefest of moments, her cold demeanor broke. No, did I forget to stuff it in my luggage? She thought to herself, while giving Caster a curious gaze.
"I can take you, sure." The woodsman heads back into the cabin, putting on a tunic. "It's maybe twenty minutes from here." Taking the axe, he begins to lead them through the forest. "I've been hearing things, rumours, that the werewolf was once the old woodsman here."
Matthias begins to row, taking a long wooden oar. The young man chuckles at her suggestion. "Sure, I'll make sure to do that. You don't have to scare me, witcher. I've dealt with drowners before, I know not to provoke them."
The milf gives a pleasant giggle at his words. "I can see why you're so popular with the ladies, Varrin. Just talking with you is making me feel better, so far. Are you hungry, perhaps I could make something for you?"
Caster looks into her eyes. "I have a few ideas." The young coachman fails to elaborate. "You know, your husband doesn't really pay me what we agreed for my wage. He's always late, or short, at the end of the week, even though I do good work." Caster takes a few steps forward. "I think I deserve a bonus, don't you?"
"You know I heard that line countless Times, and I still Hope that this statement becomes true one Day" Her eyes look around The Area as They travel over The Water. "So what brings a Guy like You into a Backwater Village full with Old geezers?"
Mirellia takes a step back as he moved forward, though Caster knew her physical abilities would easily be able to overpower him. "That... well, once my deal with Gunther is over. I'll make sure to pay you properly, including your bonus." She said as she looked around, mostly hoping they were alone.
Horny as he was, Varrin almost blurted out I'd love to eat you! but managed to stop himself. “Now that you mention it, I am quite hungry. I was so focused on helping Maddie I never got anything to eat. So yes, I'll take you up on your generous offer.” He nodded, smiling.
Trista nod to him, leading her horse after woodsmen. "Well, It look like rumours were some kind of true this time. From what we managed to collected, It seems there is werewolf who can change in human." She said.
Matthias gives a soft chuckle as she asks the question. Across the water, on the shore of one of the islands, she sees a small group of drowners, knowing that there will be more underwater. "I was born here. I left to go join the army, and had a...disagreement with them about how long I was supposed to serve. No one comes here, so I'm safe from any king's men who might want to bring me back."
