"Hah. Maybe it is." Mirellia sighed, answering his question. "But that can wait until we finish this... business deal."
"I don't know the specifics, but I don't think it's that bad." Together they quickly make their way to Samuel's office, where Danielle sees her husband sitting on his chair, using an ice spell to cool his broken nose. "Aph... Mphy Lphove!" He calls out, slurring his words because of the blood.
He pats her arm and stands up. "Indeed. The vault is in a casino. We're planning on doing a bit of scouting."
Q Quickly, kneeling over him, she placed a hand tenderly on his body as she looked him over. She was a little surprised this happened. They must have caught him off guard pretty bad. He might not be built like an orc, but he was still a mage and trying to fight him directly was almost bound to be incredibly one sided normally. “Are you alright? How’d this happen? Stole anything?” She had a lot of questions but tried to keep her voice quiet and calm while he nursed his wounds.
"Great, more gambling." Mirellia sighed once more, "Very well, I assume you need me to come with you?"
"They look for a Group who do not wish to be found. If Word travels that here are People who search for them, there could be...Dire consequences for This Village and everyone in it."
Samuel wipes away some of the blood and lets out an amused smile. "No, the gangster you entertained came up to have a discussion with me about your 'debt'. Apparently he also wanted to teach me a lesson for 'mistreating my wife'. Quite the gentleman he is, apparently." Samuel lets out a chuckle, though it quickly turns into a wince.
"So I guess it's in our interest to make sure they leave, and stay far away?" Matthias nods. "I'm surprised you care what happens to the villagers. After all, they did try to rip you off."
Danielle was a little stunned at the severity, but she had saw him kill people for apparently less in her divination vision. "Don't talk." Still....on some level...she thought, what? It was just a little surprising. She remembered when they first started dating and those drunks were getting too worked up. It took Samuel about all of five seconds to have them barely alive on the floor, begging for forgiveness while trying to treat the burns. Whatever happened to that? "Seems like it's been a bit too long since you had to use any of your proper magic instead of just practicing research methods. I remember when that guy would've been lucky if all he had to worry about was being turned into a frog." Partly joking, she...didn't seriously blame him for this, did she? She definitely was more angry at the thug. And she would get him back for that, definitely. "Well, you're alive. The body will heal....he won't be so lucky. But...not quite yet. Stupid asshole or not, he hasn't worn out his use. The minute he does though....well...I'm not as delicate as I look."
"Alright. I'll stay here then, it would be bad if the people we're stealing from associates us together." Mirellia replied, "I'll be ready when the plan is set to go."
She frowns "I dont care what happends here, but I also dont wish The Death of Innocents here. It should be in Your own Interest that these People leave soon. You live here, and I will move on and won't be here if something happens"
Lutz nodded. He agreed. With his meal done, he also got up, leaving a coin as a payment on the table, and followed his companion, to leave the city.
Varrin shook his head. “No, I've never been to Novigrad, though I have heard plenty of stories about it. What about you? Ever visited it?” He chose not to voice any concerns over going to another world they knew nothing about – if that's what it took to get Madeline back, then that's what they would do.
'Uncomfortable?' Ard chuckled, as his cock pocked against Abigail's butt, 'No, this is quite pleasant really.' He took the soap again and his hands caressed along her arms, as they came to the redhead's front from behind, lathering them up.
Samuel smiles, as he slowly uses magic to work the bone back into its natural state. "I could have turned him to ash, yes, but then we wouldn't be able to get any more information out of him. Besides, if he sees me as weak, he won't suspect me as a threat."
Giving him a light kiss but not trying to touch anywhere to sensitive right now, it did make her think that in a warped way it meant the guy did think he was being helpful to her. She'd almost feel bad for the manipulation if not remembering that he was still a dangerous criminal doing things like this. "We knew there'd be a few snags here and there. I hope all of this turns out to be worth it."
Following the maid's directions, Lutz and his companion find themselves arriving at the city's outer wall, in one of the slums. There, he finds a grate bored into the bottom of the wall, beyond which is a dried up lake that at one point provided the city with water, but is now nothing but sand and mud. From a distance, the bars of the grate look solid and impenetrable without specialist equipment, but close examination reveals tiny, discrete hinges, which allow the grate to be opened. Leading their horses through the grate, Lutz and the dwarf are able to remount on the other side, and resume their journey, out of sight from prying eyes as they enter a grove of high trees that seems impassable from outside, but has a road curving through it, wide enough for a cart to travel on. Man and dwarf travel silently for a half mile, before the dwarf decides to speak up. "So, that boss of yours. A fine looking woman, don't ya think?"
