A few chapters I wrote in Haydenwelm's 'Your Free Use World' story are missing from the story that were in a branch another writer diverged from a chapter I made. I noticed they were gone when I was going through my off-site backups of my work, I noticed I hadn't saved those chapters and when to save them. And I don't see them among the chapters I've posted on the site anymore. There was also a recent purge of some spam chapters on the story this month. But, I have a feeling those chapters went missing before then. The missing branch my chapters were in would been along a branch off of chapter 5.1, as the previous 6.2 or 6.3. Is it possible to recover these chapters at all? I don't know if I can ask for the branch to be restored since there were other writers earlier in it.(And I can't for the life of me remember the username of the writer of the initial branching chapter.) Thank you in advance for any help.
Usually, only the Story Owners / Editors of a story delete chapters. As there is currently only a story assigned to the story, they might know about it. If the chapters have been deleted recently, you might still find them on your Recently Deleted list. If not, maybe Friedman might be able to restore them from backups.
Thank you for the help gene.sis! Hadn't noticed that function on the site.(Haven't had to fiddle around with deleted chapters.) The recently delete function was right where they were; good timing too as they're both showing < 1 day until being permanently deleted and now I have them saved in my backups.
