Heading out into the ship, she sees the three disciples, and Halipha, playing cards in one of the bedrooms, the blonde inquisitor Lycere lying naked and unconscious on the bed, covered in dried cum. The disciples stand respectfully, though Halipha grins.
(Sigh. As usual dice hate me...) “May I help you, gentlemen?” Eanne inquired politely as she looked at the two groups of men and discreetly searched for a way to get away from them. For now she pretended to have not recognized the man from the club.
Victoriana nods. "Yes, sir." Crisply, she turns to carry out his orders and resume her command. In the cold, sterile medbay, he finds Ensign Reinhardt unconscious and naked, as the medics take a blood sample and lower her body into a massive scanning machine that projects a hologram of her internal organs. Examining it quietly for several minutes, the chief medical officer removes her Hazmat gear, and turns to face Xavier. "She's clean, Admiral. I'd suggest that she be watched for a little while, just in case the aliens did something that we can't detect, but I'd say it's safe to wake her up and interrogate her, if that's why you're here." A calm, professional woman about a decade and a half older than Xavier, Chief Medical Officer Sana speaks in an even tone of voice, not suggesting any particular preference as to what he should do.
The captain, a surprisingly young looking nobleman, turns to face Yannika. "One of Lave V's ships is hailing us. Don't worry, ma'am, they're just trying to show strength. If they meant us harm, they'd have started firing while we were unprepared." He smiles, clearly trying to reassure her. "They wish to speak with the representative aboard. I can talk to them, of you'd like, or you can do it."
The captain gives her a small smile in return. "Indeed. I'm to make sure that you're comfortable, so tell me if you have any requests." Opening the minibar, she finds it well stocked, with everything from classy but lightly alcoholic champagnes, to hard liquor, to designer narcotics enjoyed by the noble class.
(Sorry... I actually considered fudging them in your favour, because of how poorly you've been rolling) Looking around, she sees the two side walls are enclosed, meaning that there's no escape that way. Above her, an open dome provides sunlight into the hallway, but it's twice her height, meaning she'd have to clamber up a stall to reach it. The only other way out is through the men to her front and back. "That's what we were hoping to ask you, my lady." A bearded man in front of her speaks, the best dressed, but also the most dangerous looking. "You seem to have developed an interest in my patron, going to his social club, visiting his favoured...servant." He chuckles, and Eanne understands that he's referring to Duke Chernobog, as he'd been one of Felicia's customers. "Perhaps he could help answer your questions in person?"
'I don't think it should be necessary to keep her here longer if there's nothing strange in her blood sample,' Xavier said, going closer to the machine and looking at Ulie, 'She got quite lucky. Only survivor of this mess. Her superiors wanted us to purge everyone, any suggestions on that?' 'Well, time to wake her up,' Xavier said, 'Do you have something to cover her up? I'm sure she'd like some privacy with us strangers around.'
Taking out a bottle of the harder liquor, she pops off the lid and actually takes a good, long, deep swig straight from it, which might be surprising to the captain (but possibly not the guard if he is at all familiar with the stories of Hersillia's laid back behavior when she's not at an official function). Letting out a satisfied sigh, she plops down on the bed before replying, "For now, a proper bed and some more proper booze will do me just fine as far as comfort goes. And a decent meal or two at the proper times, should they decide to keep me waiting until the next day to speak to me. Please feel free to return to your other duties in the meantime."
"I'm guessing that they didn't think she was worth the risk of infection, and wanted to vaporise her just to make sure." Looking at Ulie, Xavier sees her sleeping restfully, large chest rising and falling softly. "Since she's clean, I don't know if it's worth killing her any more, but that's up to you." Sana shrugs. She covers Ulie with a sheet, before taking a syringe and plunging it into to Ensign's skin. Ulie's eyes flitter open. "W-Wha?" She rises slowly, blushing as she realises that she's naked and holding the sheet close to her. "Err, um, morning, sir."
Halipha shrugs. "Not sure. We were introducing ourselves, and started...taking care... of the inquisitor here." The disciples chuckle. "Not sure where Alexandros went. We were a little distracted."
The captain smirks, surprised at how casual she is, and gives a bow. "I'll be back when I have some news. In the meantime, tell me if you need anything." He walks out of the room, leaving Hersillia with the single guardsman. The liquor goes down smooth, warming Hersillia's chest and giving her a pleasant buzz.
"Really now. Hopefully he doesn't get lost." Vizelle sighed, Jeryn, Rikkert, Verner. Why don't the three of you introduce ourselves to one of the local crime lords? Let's start with the one dealing in slavery, I'm sure he'll have some interesting wares. She sent a telepathic order to her three loyal disciples, nodding as she gives Halipha a smile, "You stay put, I'll need to report to the emperor about your new alliegances." She said, before heading to where Valleus is.
'I won't kill a guest nor one of your patients unless she's a risk to the rest of the crew,' Xavier said and then waited for Ulie to wake. Xavier had to chuckle, the nobleman smiling at Ulie, 'Morning, Miss Reinhardt. Congratulations, you seem to be in good health. Now, I had a few questions for you. Do you remember anything about the alien attack? How they got on your ship? My ship had a small incursion of aliens as well, and I can't quite explain how they got on-board.' 'Oh, and one more thing,' Xavier continued, 'I'll have to inform your bosses that you survived the attack, though they seemed to favour writing off the entire ship and crew to prevent any spread of aliens. I hope they don't blame you for the whole incident. I know how weasley and scapegoating bureaucrats can be.'
"Yes, mistress." The three young men leave the ship, heading to go contact the slaver. "So, I'm meeting the emperor, huh?" Halipha chuckles.
"Yes, I'd advise you, and your brother don't do anything stupid. I may have recruited you for your potentials, but if you're more trouble than you're worth, I'd have to trouble getting rid of you." Vizelle replied, looking at the cum drenched inquisitor. After that she heads to the cockpit to meet Valleus to hear what he plans to do about Lycere.
Ulie scratches her head. "Sorry, I don't really know. I was at my desk for hours, scanning the ships of your fleet as they approached the capital. I may have also, um, fallen asleep at one point, too." She blushes, before her eyes go wide. "Actually, now that I think about it..." She pauses. "We got a shipment of food from Byzantion station, not long before the attack happened, as your ships entered the system. It might be unrelated, but before everything went to hell on board, I heard some of those crates clattering as they toppled over. I have no way of confirming, but maybe they were in the crates?" She blanches as he tells her the news. "I, um, see... So you're saying that you...spared me, sir?"
She finds Valleus, robes on and hood up, as the man prepares to leave. "The girl will stay with me. She will need to be taught not to disobey her superior's orders, and I'll need to make sure she keeps her mouth shut about the book."
"Fufu. I see, I wouldn't mind doing that for you. After all, my disciples have become quite fond of her." Vizelle grins, "Ah, but it would be problematic if anyone questioned why an inquisitor is following around a sorceress." She giggles, "Well, I'll leave it to you then." She turns around to leave, beckoning Halipha to follow as she heads to the emperor to make her report.
'Hmm,' Xavier stroked his non-existent beard, 'I'll have consult the quartermaster if we received shipments like that as well. Thank you, that might be useful.' Xavier chuckled and shook his head, 'Not as such, I had already decided to do what we could to rescue your crew by the time the port authority asked what was going on. Not rescuing you at that point would have been murder or at least manslaughter.' 'The way I see it,' Xavier mused, 'We can either go to the bridge and inform your higher ups about everything together, or... I could also tell them that you died with the rest of the crew. Whichever would be best for you.'
