The costumes on these are very intricate! Do you 3d model those from scratch? Plus, I just love Huntress' costume in general. Very impressive stuff you keep up with.
Goodness, no, they're way beyond my capabilities, the most I'll do is maybe tweak a colour here and there. I have very little artistic ability, if any, and just use a free program called Daz3D to use other people's 3D models to put the pictures together. The Huntress costume you mention is a freebie from Terrymcg (as was the Batgirl costume) that I found over at Renderosity (I think they're also available for download on his DeviantArt page). The rest of the costumes (that mostly aren't freebies) tend to be either by MightyMite over at Renderosity or from the FoRender site.
Oh, I see! 3d models and posing is all wizardry to me, so I can never tell what's what. I can still appreciate a composition, though.
There's little artistic skill involved. I just use a free 3D art program called Daz3D to use other people's 3D assets (sometimes free, sometimes not) to put the pictures together.
I think you do yourself a disservice. I too dabble in Daz3d on a VERY amateur level, but I've spent enough dozens of hours to know that it takes talent and skill. Compare it to a photographer. I think most people would agree that photographers are artists and their photos are art, even if they don't make the subjects of the images themselves. They pick a subject, pick a pose, pick a background, select the right costume, make sure the lighting and direction is right, etc. Then, when it's all done, they fiddle with the details until it looks perfect. All the same things you do in Daz3d.
Out of all of your work here, which I think is better than average and I say that as someone who teaches 3d art.... This is my favorite. Love the pose with the bat and the bare feet.
