Yoshitake a ninja of Kusu ninja village. He became one of the strongest ninja of his time. His deeds strengthened his village, securing its place on the island. People sang about his adventures, about his powers and prowess, about the number of kunoichi he defeated then fucked and brought in chains to the village, about the size of his harem… Eventually, he became a leader of his village. Under his leadership, the village became one of the superpowers on the continent. When he finally died of old age, he left the village strong and in capable hands. Alas, his successor did not choose his successor wisely. In a matter of fifty years, the village degenerated into a minor village. After another fifty years, Kusu was invaded and conquered by Dari ninja village. Almost all Kusu ninja were captured and transported to the conqueror's village. There, they were fucked during the week-long celebrations. After that, some were sold into slavery, some were used as breeding slaves, some were fucked until their minds broken only to be indoctrinated to be loyal ninja Dari ninja… A great ninja village of Kusu was annihilated. All of this was observed by the spirit of Yoshitake. He observed the world for centuries, waiting, planing… until he deemed the time was right to rebuild his village. He managed to lure civilians females – who showed some potential – into his place of rest and capture them. He then used his powers to indoctrinate them into loyal Kusu ninja. After this was done, he thought them some basics of ninja arts… By the standard of his times, their skills were pathetic. But in times they lived? They just had a chance. He looked at the kneeling women – he could feel their utter loyalty to Kusu village. That would have to do. Should they fail, he would need to wait another century, before trying again. He would advise them, but it was now up to them, now. - - - The place to the new Kusu village would be build, was chosen at the side of one of the hills. There was a small valley inside, with a stream of water. The entire valley was surrounded by the forest from one side and the hill from the other. There was a place for fields, houses and facilities… it was a good place to start. First, they would need to have some tents acquired to live in. At least as temporary housing. They could steal the tents, search the area for materials to craft some temporary shelter, or try to buy it… Then they should ‘Recruit’ some civilian villagers – so they could work on the fields and secure the food supplies. It was up to them how they would recruit the peasants – they could seduce them, offer the place to live to some poor beggars, use their skills to secure them, buy slaves... At the same time, they should start doing some paid jobs… the port town’s mission the board should or bounty hunter’s guild should have the jobs, alternatively, they could search for jobs in neighbouring villages. Infrastructure, civilian villagers and gold were necessary to start the village. The five kunoichi stood at the valley, ready to start their tasks.
@moonblack Sho looked around the valley. This was a good place to restart the legacy of Kusu village. "We have much work." Kiyoshi said as she looked around. "We should familiarise ourselves with this place first." "Maybe we will find something interesting..." Sana mussed. "That needn't to be done by all of us..." Koma added. They did not have a leader - each person contributed to the village, and the ones with the greatest contributions had the highest influence on the village. Sho nodded herself as she considered how she would contribute to the village...
“I'm going to check the forest,” Sho declared after thinking about it for a bit, “it is a good source of resources. Wood, obviously, but also food, whether by gathering berries and mushrooms or hunting animals. Possibly herbs, too. Anyone else want to come along? It will be safer and faster if we work together.” Sho asked as she looked at the other four women there.
At her inquiry, Osa nodded her head. "I will go with you." The busty blond declared as she decided to follow Sho. The duo started making their way through the forest. As the duo moved carefully through the area they saw a few small animals. Osa moved silently behind her, not saying anything. Sho realised that now they could either move in the direction of the civilization, where they knew were some villages... or deeper, into the old dark forest, into unknown.
Sho examined the area – the forest was beautiful, she had to admit – then looked at her companion. “I think we should stick to the outskirts of the forest and not go deeper. While I am curious what sort of creatures might be living deeper in the woods, now is not the time to find out. We'll explore more after we have established the village.” She suggested, her caution winning over her curiosity.
"I agree." Osa nodded as she looked at the forest, then turned to look at the forest. "It's a good place." She said, not really expecting an answer. For a moment the two of them looked at the beautiful forest, before moving to the 'brighter' parts of the forest. Spoiler: Encounter 2 Spoiler: Sho's Awareness 40 - success Spoiler: Osa's Awareness 20 - success As the two made their way through the forest, they both stopped as they heard noises. The duo quickly moved to hide behind the trees... as they slowly made their way forward. Finally, they stopped and looked at the source of the noise. A camp. As they observed the camp they noticed nine people walking around - all of the females looked to be mercenaries. Spoiler: Awareness 62 - fail Sho clicked her tongue. What was a group of soldiers doing so far in the forest? And a yet better question, what should she and Osa do with them? Let them go? Attack them? Even with their abilities of ninja, it might be a difficult battle...
Sho looked at Osa and used hand signs to silently communicate to her companion the following: We shall remain hidden and spy on them a bit longer – perhaps we can figure out the reason for their presence here. But even if we don't we will head back and let the others know about the camp so that they will know to avoid it. We will make sure to cover out tracks so that they cannot follow us even if they spot us.
Osa nodded and turned back to observe the camp. Spoiler: Awareness 90 - great fail As the two continued observing the gathering, more and more it looked like those were local Damiyo's patrol soldiers. Why they would not be a match to a single experienced ninja, they were enough to deal with local bandits. Cheaper to. Sho bit her lip. Their group was not sanctioned to work in this area by the Daimyo and, if they were found out, he - or she, could take offence... and hire a skilled ninja to deal with them. That made her a little nervous. After some time, she decided it was time to go. Spoiler: Sho's stealth 42 - success Spoiler: Osa' stealth 68 - fail As she slowly started backing up, she snapped her head at the noise. Osa winced as her heel snapped a twig hidden under leaves. "Huh?" The guard heard it too. Osa pressed her back against the trunk and stayed still. But Sho could easily see, that once the guard was close, and detection was inevitable - she would take the guard down.
Dammit, Osa! Sho cursed in her mind and considered her options: Rely on luck and hope that an animal will pass by, attracting the guard's attention? Too risky and unreliable. Remain hidden and wait, hoping that the guard will not find them? Again too risky – the guard would likely raise the alarm as soon as she found Osa, meaning that they had only moments to take the soldier out. And even then the other soldiers would likely notice one of them going missing. Thus Sho decided to try and distract the guard. Quickly she looked around, searching for something she could throw away to make noise for the guard to investigate, giving them a chance to flee.
Sho quickly found a small rock and branch and threw it, away from Osa Spoiler: Sho's distraction 80 - fail The branch hit the tree and fell to the ground. The guard completely disregarded it, taking it as a normal branch falling from the tree. The guard approached Osa's position and stopped right next to the trunk she was hidden behind - the blond became still. The busty blond was like a spring, ready to jump to action at moment's notice... Spoiler: Osa's stealth 23 - success The guard spent a few moments looking around... before finally leaving, with a small shrug. Osa waited for a moment, before quietly sneaking out... Finally, Osa and Sho reunited and started making their way to the 'base'... "What do you think?" Osa asked Sho, as both of them were running back.
“I think it would be best to stay away from them for now and focus on building the village. We should warn the others to also be careful when visiting the forest.” Sho replied. She could not shake the feeling that she had missed something, but there was nothing she could do about it. No point thinking about what could have happened, better to focus on the present and the future.
Osa hummed in agreement. "Yeah, I don't fancy ending up in of those cages." She nodded her head as the two walked. They could hear a sound of flowing water in front of them.
Flowing water? A stream? A river? We should check it out and see if it is drinkable – in case we need fresh water later. Sho decided and focused her attention on their surroundings.
A few minutes later, the duo soon made a way to the source of the noise. Osa walked up to the stream and took a sip of water, then looked around. "We could use it, should we not find any source of water closer to our village." She said as she brought her hands filled with mountain water to her lips.
“Indeed.” Sho nodded in agreement. “Some forest animals likely come here to drink, so we could make for a decent hunting ground in case of a food shortage. Let's continue back to the village and let the others know what we have discovered today.”
Osa nodded and got up. The two made their way back to the valley - they found the rest of the team sitting by the fire and eating. "Right back at the time." Kiyoshi said. "We have caught a hare, so we have some meat and some fruits. Help yourselves." She offered the duo the food. "We did not manage to check the entire valley, but it looks clear." Kome said as she chewed a berry. "There is a small stream - we can easily use it as a source of water. There are also some forest fruits that will sustain us for some time." "Still, it looks like this night, we will spend under the night sky." Sana said with a disheartened voice. Sho yawned, tiredly. It looked like both she will have to rest soon. Osa did not look much better.
“We found a stream too, as well as some potential trouble, if we are not careful,” Sho shared what she and Osa had found during their search, then yawned. “Well, sleeping under the night sky is not the worst that could happen, though it might be a bit cold... we could huddle together to help keep warm. But before that...” she yawned again “...I think we should set up a night watch – someone to keep an eye out for potential danger and wake us up if necessary, while the rest of us sleep in pairs. After a fifth of the night has passed the first guard wakes up a second person and goes to sleep. Then later the second person wakes up the third, and so on until by morning each of us has taken a shift. Just... please don't make me be one of the first two, or I might fall asleep while standing... and the same is probably true for Osa... So, anyone want to take the first shift?” Sho finished with another yawn.
Sana hummed as she listened to the duo. "I will take the night guard duty." Kiyoshi said as she sat down. "It isn't that tiring." She hummed. Sho nodded, as both she and Osa lied not at from fire, their bodies pressed closely together. "That leaves the two of us to work." Kome hummed. Sana looked up. The sun was slowly coming down.
Sana looked at Kome and nodded. “As much as I would love to spend the night resting and doing nothing, we can't afford to waste time. We should probably start by gathering materials to build shelters with – we are lucky the sky is clear for now, but there's no telling when the weather will worsen. I'd rather not spend the night outside while it is raining. For now a few huts should be enough, we can worry about better accommodations later, when we have recruited more people. The forest seems like the obvious place to start, we just need to be careful not to go too deep or too close to the soldiers' camp. The darkness will make things a bit more difficult, but as long as we stick together we should be fine.” She finished, making sure to keep her voice low so as to not disturb the sleep of their tired teammates.
"Why not just steal from the soldiers?" Kome hummed as the two turned and started walking to the forest. "Should we go together or split? While alone, we would cover a larger area..." She suggested.
