JK... mostly... At the end of the day, he didn't do any physical harm to us. Killing him would be in poor taste and be harder to explain to the town if word got out. If I recall we have 10 minutes of the energize spell and cloths we need to put back on.

I say strip him of weapons first, check his belt and pockets. Then tell him we are going back to the village to tell them what he did. I recommend he complies and follows as he'll be in less trouble that way. We could kill him and leave him to the beast, so not doing so shows the elder that we are trying to be peaceful and hopefully take our side.

Other than that we go back to the plan before this interruption... However, after getting the bow we probably need to rest and recover our mana before exploring more.

Actually, when we get back to camp to rest, have Cherchiel try on the boar mask so we can find out what it does.

Well, we have a lot to go through, but it looks like we first have an obvious problem at our hand


This....is a tricky situation. We don't know what the flower does. The fact that it is so near to the next floor would indicate a boss, assuming the pattern holds up. But, we also already know of three monsters, beast, lumberer and the thing in the dark.

This area will most likely by fine as a battleground, but we can't be sure.

While the boar mask will certainly come in handy, we don't know if Cherchiel will be able to control her urges, we don't have a weapon for her either, maybe we can make a quick dash to the blacksmith to grab that spear? Probably not.

At any rate, I mulled it over for quite a bit, but ultimately I'm for fleeing right now.

 

Alright so first, corruption? Is this a forest thing, a tower thing, or not a thing and just how they get rid of problems? We may want to talk to this corrupted individual, see if they did something to become this way.

Ok so the boar mask gets Cherchiel back to full strength... If you can keep Yulias pants on. Cherchiel, use the mask when you need to protect Yulia and make sure to channel those thoughts. In this case, Lumberer wants your woman, don't let it touch her.

And now Lumberer... So we still don't have a spear you Cherchiel, but would Boarchiel want to use a spear? We're rested and able to fight, the question is does Boarchiel think her returned strength plus energize is enough to wrestle Lumberer? If that answer is no, then retreat until we get the spear.

If yes, battle plan time! Enegize Cherchiel and have her engage Lumberer. Transform into Boarchiel as you head over and remember to focus on protecting your woman. Once engaged, Yulia you flank Lumberer with energize then try and land stabs on its back. Keep your mana for healing unless it seems that Boarchiel can safely match the Lumberer's strength. If Boarchiel had a weapon we could have had Yulia go full healing mode, but until then your still the best damage dealer.

In terrible circumstances... If Boarchiel turns out to overestimate her strength and gets thrown like a doll... Yulia you have the Halo. Buy time for Cherchiel to retreat with Muma by engaging with energize and doing your best keep away. Once safe make a retreat yourself unless it turns out he's slow, then maybe you can poke him to death.

This mask will definitely be a great boon, as for the spear, well its better then nothing I suppose.

Yes there is a chance that fleeing can fail, at least in the case of the floor monster, in terms of other threats whether or not there's a chance for failure to flee is case by case.

 

Hmmm, so the bone spear is meh. But meh might work for the goblins in the cave. Maybe we should try and get some metal from the cave and deal with a certain sleep attack individual.

I say we talk to the prisoner. Doesn't hurt to get more info. Once that's done, cause I don't see it being much, I say we either try for the flower or go to the cave. The flower is "safer" since it is less travel and may not involve fighting, but we might not get a benefit from doing so. Cave means metal and rude sleepy boi, but we have to potentially fight through a bunch of goblins.

If we go cave... Try stealth or explain that we can "deal" with the beast.

The fact that Lumberer showed up there like that might be benefical. It means the floor boss will remain dormant as long as a floor monster is present.


It seems quite obvious that fighting Flora right now is a death sentence. We need better weapons and figuring out that whole corruption thing should give us a boon as well.

I say we then head for the cave. It is the safest of the three options and has the chance of getting Cherchiel a iron sword which would be much more useful against a plant based monster. The spear and mask along with Yulia's long range magic should be enough. And the sleepi boi menace shouldn't be to bad, just don't sleep in the cave. He may even have the wheel this time!

Did the former Champion mention where or how to get the iron(metal) from the cave?

As a medical professional you should have checked for signs and possible cures for the corruption on the pervy elf. I half expected him to tell you the corruption is transmitted through bodily fluids and now you're infected too, but you got lucky again. Maybe there is a way to identify corrupted individuals and maybe this is the time for your Great Cure spell to shine or you can make a potion with your alchemical ingredients that helps him. Try not to fall for his trick of saying he is totally cured now just so he gets another shot at raping you.

Cherchiel has expressed a preference for ranged combat and you got a free bow from pervy elf. How come you didn't take it? See if you can pick it up later. Also see if you can find something like a torch or oil and cloth in order to make fire arrows. You're up against a plant monster and plants are usually bad at running and have a dislike for getting burned alive. If you can outrange it this might be the easiest floor boss yet.

Anyway, you got lucky again and met Goma. That's nice! Try to keep the good relationship. Remember all the trades, you want metal and allies against Lumberer, you can offer Great Cures, Great Heals, vials (ask her to identify your vials and gauge her interest!) and negotiating deals with the village on their behalf. Instead of swallowing it all you should have collected pervy elf's cum in a vial, but you can still do that later.

I definitely agree that we should have looted pervert elf, but it's probably too late for that now.

As for that fear of corruption. I think the chance of that is small. We can see your status after all, and there is no indication that anything was added. The tower is always happy to inform us about any change to your physical and mental state as soon as possible, so, you should be safe.


I...probably should have urged some more caution when it comes to entering the caves, but luckily all turned out well. Very nice to see Goma again. Seems for now we should just follow her and see what she has to say.
