Looking at her console, she sees that the Zabrak sent her an invitation to join him and his partner on a spice run. The blonde is waiting for her in the mess, some light food already served. "Morning." She blushes.
"Spice run..." Eve murmured, wondering if it's connected to what the senator was planning. For now, she returns to the mess hall to eat with Valentija, "Good morning. It seeks our Zabrak friend from last night has invited us to join them on a mission." She informs her companion, wanting her input, as Eve figured Valentija heard more than she did.
"The spice runner?" She frowns. "I'm not sure - I know his motivation is mostly just to get us in bed, but to actively contribute to drug running..."
"Yes, I feel the same. I just thought it might help us figure out what the senator was planning." Eve replied, as she eats breakfast. "Very well, I shall decline. We can figure out what they're up to some other way." She nods, politely declining Warga's offer.
"If we're doing it to stop the drug running - then that's a different story." Valentija takes a drink of blue milk. "I'll follow your lead either way."
"Hmm. No, perhaps we'll find a lead... or perhaps we'll only aid in smuggling illegal drugs. The risk is too much. As much as I want to deal with whatever the senator has planned, we currently have no other way of dealing with our lack of information... unless." Eve munbled, recalling a certain bounty that targetted an info broker. "Perhaps we should acquire a source of intel for ourselves?"
"Alright, let's take the bounty on Garindan. Perhaps we can negotiate a deal to secure his help." Eve nods, finishing her meal, and heading to the guild to take the mission to gain intel on her target.
Downloading the data, Eve is disappointed to see that Garindan has dropped off the face of the galaxy. The only lead is his old case officer in the Imperial Security Bureau, a certain Admiral Gellex Vries. Vries was a close associate of Garindan, using the spy's info to apprehend many subversives. He defected just before the fall of the Empire, giving information crucial to several key Rebel victories, and is now living out his life on his private estate on the planet of Chandrila, as a civilian, though there have been rumours about him dabbling in other, shadowier, areas.
Gathering the data, Eve decides to follow the only lead they had. "If he's conducting illegal deals, I will have to deal with him as well." She said to herself, and with now other way to find Garindan. She heads to Vries location, hoping he'll cooperate and share what he knows. Though if he was doing shadowy deals, she hoped he resists, to give her an excuse to kill him afterwards.
Heading back to the Veetoo, the bounty hunters lift off, jumping to hyperspace. Hours later, they're descending down onto the Core World of Chandrila, a developed but beautiful world, where high rises and nature coexist, a far cry from Coruscant. After registering with planetary authorities, Eve takes her ship out into the mountains, away from the capital. Landing on a small plateau, she and Valentija use optical enhancements and macrobinoculars respectively, to scope out the former Imperial's mansion. Looking at it, despite the obvious display of wealth, it's not all that well guarded - two armed men patrolling the exterior. "Hmm..." Valentija looks at Eve. "How do you want to play this? Frontal attack? Get in under false pretences? Sneak in after dark? Wait for the Imp to leave and ambush him?" She lays out the options as she sees them. "We could also just ask, I guess."
Isabia at the rifle DC-17M. It looks interesting and promising to her. Yeah, high prize is terrified but it would be better to training on something good. "Alright Vetrik, but you going to take care of this weapon like for your own part of body." She said smiling and paid for this rifle. "Alright, rest of the evening we are going to training our skills in shooting Vetrik. Let's go to shooting range." She said going to teach Vetrik some basic and also improved her own skills.
As they scoped out their target, Eve pondered. "There's... not much security considering the rumors about him." She said, "Could they be hidden inside?" The android pondered, as Valentina gave her suggestion. "For now, I suppose we should try asking. If he has turned over a new leaf, then perhaps we can secure his cooperation. But if he's hiding something, he'll surely be sending his men to watch us."
(-4500 Credits, +DC-17M) "Absolutely!" He beams, as he takes the rifle for himself. Later on, the two of them are at the range, back at the guild hall, the long room reverberating with the sound of shots, as bounty hunters practice their art.
"Maybe one of us should stay here, while the other goes in? And we'll keep in touch via comms? Or should we just go together?" Valentija suggests.
"No, I suppose you're right. Leaving one of his hidden may help us later." Eve nods, "I'll go. After all, if things go wrong, you can back me up from afar." She smiles, as she heads to Vries' estate.
(You could add in description that Vetrik have also basic armor, from Heart bounty hunt). Isabia smiled to hersellf as she take her place in sniper place. "Alright Vetrik, basics of shooting are simple but to polish them you need to..." She begins explaining and teaching her companion, correcting his mistakes and letting him used to weigh and power of weapon. Also, Isabia looked for someone more experienced than her, who could teach her something new.
"Lucky we got this..." Valentija pats her new weapon. Heading over to the estate, Eve is surprised to see that the guards, though they see her coming, don't pay her much attention. A golden protocol droid meets her at the entrance. "Ah, you're early. No matter, Master Vries has cleared his schedule. Please, follow me." Turning, the droid goes to lead the android inside, as though she was expected.
"Mmh. I'll leave my back to you." Eve nods, smiling as she left. But as she approached, "Huh?" She couldn't help but utter in shock, as she was lead inside. Well, perhaps I can use this... but it'll be trouble if whoever he's expecting arrive while we're conducting business. But if I decline, there might not be a second chance... very well, I will simply need to be quick. Eve thought to herself as she follows the droid, she activates her pheromones as well, hoping to ease their caution of her just in case.
Spoiler: Teaching Roll D100: 49 (Minor Failure) Sadly, despite her best efforts, Isabia can't pull herself away from her own training enough to teach someone entirely new. Her advice is filled with military ideas and Mandalorian aphorisms that the young man simply doesn't understand yet. Still, though Vetrik is tired, with little to show for it, she thinks that next time, it should be easier. Looking around, she sees a masked bounty hunter nailing shots with relative ease, scoring bullseye after bullseye.
