So, basically a ground pounder given a command of the ship Skills: + space combat, Tactics? Weapons? Shields? + command, Spaceship? Marines? Ground troops? + menace I don't get that... did you mean intimidation? Ship Give your ship a name Look forward to history of officers - what made one into exhibitioninst... and the other into underwear thief (you don't mind that since it's a weak weakness, it would be taken to extreme ? )... Clone Crew (Both male and female) You only start with one template - so you would either choose between male or female... Possible clone's weakness - heightened libido (enough to make them fuck when they should be on duty), Agoraphobia - fear of open spaces, which would make it difficult for them to act on surface, submissive - which would make them more eager to surrender in combat, etc.
Waekness: Nepotism - Not sure about that... how it would translate into far away mission? Would it mean worse interactions with other captains? Ship - I will prepare destroyer classes of ships soon. Kayla Kissens Assignment: Ships' Woman - you will have to explain that... and in what capacity it provides bonuses... Clone Crew Designation: HAL Weakness: Sex addiction - that means that they would have sex/masturbate on duty - which would screw up some operations... that kind of addiction, yes?
Skills: Telekinesis *** You sure you did not mean telephaty? Telekinesis is about moving objects with mind, but considering clone's weakness... it would be more about telephaty. Fleet Combat Tactics* Space combat tactics - just rename Command* ...not sure about that one... what would it support? Endurance* So, she is physically tougher, yes? Ship - I will prepare destroyers later Julia Weakness: Weak - so also of weak stature, that she ca be taken down fairly easily? Lukas - add weakness Clone Weakness: Chain Linked- Boy, isn't it an interesting weakness... and packed one, too. This would give unfair advantage (like ability to notice when one of them was taken down by infiltrator, or communicate through telephaty to work better)... is it on subconscious level? If so, does it work like star wars' battle mediation - increased coordination? As for weakness, does it mean that a skilled telephat could take out entire crew with taking down the network... or captain alone? And how would they continue without captain's supervision? Would they became so lethargic that they would lose will to live?
Alright, I describe more her skills, given ship name and officers short backstories. I know, not very creative but stil. Also, I give clones weakness, but I'm not sure if it wasn't too much, or maybe it is good enought?
Captains, Admirals, even some subordinates who think they should have gotten the promotion over him. Yes. I imagined a "Ships' Woman" is basically a concubine for the ship's crew and visiting dignitaries. Essentially a trained councilor and perhaps ambassador providing bonuses to diplomatic situations. Yeah that sounds about right.
I meant telekensis, since I wasn't really planning for her to overtly display Telepathy(At a useable level) herself, but I replaced Command so she can since it fits better with her unit, and would essentially syngerize to doing what command would. Endurance is basically that, yes. Julia-Basically. She's not a combat focused character. Lukas-Added one, don't know if that's fine or not. Clones-I was thinking it was more one way than Klara herself had a specific awareness of them. But with her telepathy it might be slightly more shared. If Klara died, the rest would all likely be neurologically severed as well, which might outright kill the weaker ones, while the better of the bunch probably would survive though suffering from sensory deprivation that would take a long time to heal. They're also know this would happen so they aren't exactly eager to allow for easy opportunities to test that theory. The weakness in general is more intended that while they can act on their own and have independent thought, they generally need Klara within a decent enough range lest their connection weakens if they get too distant. In general, they probably wouldn't just fall over dead the minute they step outside of where the network is strongest, but their senses would increasingly start to dull like their sight, smell and hearing, so it eats into their ability to be effective if they get caught outside of Klara's "network range', basically. I dunno. It's only a idea.
Skills - okay Backstories - okay Ship - okay Cloe weakness - okay Clone template - still have to choose! Interactions between officers might be fun... already have an idea... maybe two...
So, basically you won't have good relations with other captains/players and his own crew/officers... okay. Ship's woman... so basically a counselor but with sex?
Forgot about one thing - if you are choosing destroyer as starting ship, you need one more weakness. So, telephaty would allow her to work better with clones... use them like hive-mind? give orders through telephaty? Lukas's weakes -ok Clones - How fast would be degradation without Klara? How individualistic they are - might we just make it so, that Klara in the network works like life support system? Instead giving any benefits, her presence just makes things work?
Initially other officers should regard him with something akin to scorn or contempt yes. But he can earn their respect and loyalty as he has with Biggs and Kissens. As for "Ship's woman" that's exactly it, yes.
(Not sure how active I can be, but here's what I've got. Tell me if anything's a problem.) Name: Violetta Solaris Pic/description: Spoiler: In uniform Spoiler: In an 'indiscretion' with her XO Rank: Captain History: A graduate of the Federation's top military academy, Violetta comes from a military academy, with several admirals as relatives. A professional straight shooter, she scored top marks at the academy, fast-tracking her up the career ladder until she commanded a vessel of her own, at a relatively young age for the feat. Currently, she's assigned to dealing with the rampant piracy in the sector, while she tries to make sure that the Aegean is run properly, with no corners cut or criminality on board. Specialization: Tactical Skills: - Diplomacy - Leadership (Keeping her crew obedient and in good spirits) - Firearms - Space Combat Tactics (Masterful) Weakness: By the Book: Violetta keeps rigidly to the strategies and tactics taught in the military academy. Though she's highly effective at performing tried and true methods, she's uncomfortable and unskilled at performing tactics that are unconventional and out of the box - especially when going against regulations. Likewise, because she's been raised in a highly formal, law-abiding military family, she's unused to dealing with criminals and scoundrels, and can more easily be manipulated by them. *Ship: Bayonette Class Assault Corvette - 'Aegean' *Crew: Default uniforms Officers (optional)(choose up to two) Starting officers are of common sorts - they won't have any incredible skills. Spoiler: Lieutenant Commander Haxion Bell Name: Haxion Bell Pic/description: Rank: Lieutenant Commander (XO) History: The son of an admiral and a prostitute, Haxion was a petty criminal in the slums of the Federation's capital before being made to choose between prison or the navy. As a common crewman, his skills at blackmail and contraband led to promotion from corrupt superiors, and he found himself as the XO of the Aegean, and its stuck up captain. He uses the ship's travels as opportunities to practice his illicit trades, as the captain tries to catch him and have him court-martialled. Currently, his mission is to tame his superior, something he recently made progress in, as she recently tried to lull him into a false sense of security with a visit to his cabin, and through liquor and her naivete, ended up in his bed. Weakness: Uncouth Despite years in the navy, Haxion is still a street kid at heart. In his speech and mannerisms, he still carries with him his rough persona that set him apart from the rest of the officer corps, who are more professional. Though some, particularly women, consider him to be a dashing rogue, he's generally thought of as a scumbag who's only still around because he has leverage on powerful people. Spoiler: Science Officer Name: Mara Rykov Pic: Assignment: Chief Science Officer History: A reject from the Federation Science Academy after a particularly...unethical...experiment, Mara sought to use her expertise in the navy, opting particularly for the kind of far flung post away from the Federation's core, where she would be away from the prying eyes of the Scientific Ethics Committee. A competent but distant member of the crew, Mara has done her job to the captain's standards, but rarely exceeds them. She's barely paid attention to the power struggle growing on the Aegean, not really caring who wins. Weakness: Yeah! Science!: Though a good scientist, Mara isn't particularly devoted to her job. Scientific discovery and advancement is all that interests her, and she's neither particularly invested or enthused in activities that don't further that goal. Clone Crew Spoiler: Clone Crew Designation: LV models (For example, LV108) Pic: Weakness: You always know a Working Joe: LV models are highly simplistic. Though they're cheap to replace and entirely obedient to the officers, with strength and survivability beyond a human's, they have only a basic intelligence, and without maintenance carry a risk of malfunction.
Telepathy-I think it works at surface level thoughts. She'd need to train it better to be able to give them all specific instructions at once and direct each at the same time. Clones-It's fairly noticeable, though the rate would accelerate faster . Kind of how I had it intended.
Okay~ First, skills Skills: - Space Combat Please define: tactics, shields, manoeuvre, weapons.... Also, add a skill which your character mastered Nice weakness - original Clones... at first I thought they are droids... so they are cheap clones... huh. Not sure about them - I mean, if those were only shock troops - yeah, but they also need to operate the ship, lack of intelligence might be a problem.
Weakness Imperial... interesting... you sure about that weakness? If yes... Your character is accepted! Welcome aboard Captain!
