This was my experience too. I had a typo in one of my chapters and put a guys age down as 16 instead of 26. It was an obvious error that i'd missed in the edit. The page got frozen and mods let me know the issue, one quick fix later and it was back up and running.

I'm sure this has been covered before, but anyway... I know opinions vary depending on the type of story you're writing. Large, sprawling multi branch stories will have smaller chapters. Linear stories longer. I write linear stories, vaguely plot driven (that's what I tell myself anyway)...

I certainly wouldn't agree to move them back now, it's done, so leave them where they are at the bottom. At the time I posted my comment I was not aware of the reasons for the change, since then others have commented and I can see why some folks feel it's better at the bottom. Which is fair enough.

Comments are like gold dust around here. Anything that makes it harder to comment should be discouraged. Unless there is a good reason why comments need to be moved to the bottom, then I'd say leave it where it is on the side. People don't like change, especially for no reason. So it would be...
